I will never understand how being anti illegal immigration is bigoted.
It's not. The word 'bigot' is misused and abused.
It is in an extremely pedantic definition of the term since you're being picky. But no, it's 'bigoted' because of an insane conflation that all immigration is illegal immigration which itself is far more racist than anything the average anti-immigrant voter says or thinks. Although plenty of them also want legal immigration highly curbed, which they should, that's a separate issue when you've got unchecked illegal immigration happening that obviously needs to stop first.
It's not but the left will use any avenue to vilify their opponents argument.
Its easy. You understand it's an invasion being facilitated by our own politicians who are profiting from it, and that they are just trying to smear the people pointing it out. We're in a civil war of words. We speak the truth that we experience, politicians, journalists and public figures that are on the invading side fire back with slander to keep the invasion progressing.
And to anyone who wants to try arguing it isn't an invasion, think about this... When in history has this number of people violated the borders of a sovereign nation and raped and pillaged said nation? Because that's what's happening right now. Our women and children are no longer safe, and these people are draining the funds of our public institutions like the NHS. Which the taxpayer funds. So they are plundering us, but just in an indirect way.
Why? Because the globalists have a real hard on for their one world government, or should I say dictatorship. They've been destabilising the non western world for decades via war in preparation for it. But they can't use war to destabilise the west. First they would have to weaken us to the point that such a method was viable. So they flood us with non military invaders. Having their puppets in the target nations governments facilitating it for them. Then once we are destabilised and the whole world is going to shit, they come along with a solution to the world's problems. A kind, benevolent global government to unite us all and have us all work together towards a common goal, to overcome the same issues we face all over the world (that they created for this reason.)
And anyone that gets in their way and resists? They can't just drone strike them like they could in the Middle East. So in the west, they smear them, and make it look unacceptable to hold those views. "Racist." "Sexist." "Bigot." "Facist." All specifically chosen words because the west is opposed to these concepts. So to label a dissenter one of those things naturally turns western societies against them.

It is genuinely wild that the West as a whole forgot about probably the biggest longest lasting religious conflict of the past 2000 years wasn't between Protestantism and Catholicism (30 years) but Christianity and Islam (about 196 years). If there's one thing that says, it's that there's more beef between the latter then the former.

Somehow, I feel like this is the same for us Americans being watched by those over the pond. Seriously, just this week someone I was talking to (via forums) thought that the Klan were Far Right (Wing)... He had to be somebody from your side of the pond, because surely nobody in the states, who's studied American history would EVER make that mistake. The Klan are Left Wing Democrats, through and through. Even the few "Republicans" people could point to are either just slander OR in actuality RiNOs. (At least in my experience.)
As a result of this mistake, he couldn't comprehend how the Right actually moved to the Left (speaking for America here). From where I'm sitting, the so called "Right" in England really do appear to be just Left Wing in the first place.
Honestly I feel like ours is simpler, Parliamentary politics are weird man. Reform got 14% of the total vote and only 1% of the seats in parliament, while Labor got 32% of the vote and 64% of the seats.
It's like the electoral college if it was on crack.

There are videos on his statements on UA-cam, but in short, Prime Ministers are creatures of their party that are unable to disagree with their party at all. They are mere figureheads for a political party rather than chief executives separate from the party. The problems we had with the Bushes, Clintons, and Obamas being political swamp monsters is all Parliamentary systems ever produce.

In 2019 32% of the vote went to Labour and they got 10.2m votes. This led to their lowest amount of seats since WW2 and was seen as the death of the party as it was.
In 2024 34% of the vote went to Labour and they got 9.7m votes. This led to the 2nd largest seat majority in British history and is being lauded as the public going towards the left.
The Conservatives and the Labour party are basically the same thing at this point, so there's no love lost from me. But when you actually look into the numbers, it's a damning indictment of our electoral system.

The description of Left Wing operation as 'two steps forward, one step back' is entirely accurate, that is how they operate. Push something as far forward as they can until pushback becomes too great then retreat a little to appear to not go too far then prepare for the next push. However, I will agree that not every time the Left retreats means that it's this principle in operation, sometimes they do just take an L. What you have to be ready for is the next push and where it's coming from.

Aye, I was going to spoil my ballot before Nigel threw his hat into the ring, I didn't like that Richard Tice was taking his marching orders from Hope not Hate, I'd never vote Tory (I had a front row seat to the miners strike and what Thatcher did to them) and even though I would normally support Labour, no vote for them while they had the kneeler Sir Keir at the helm. If Jeremy Corbyn had still been leader, I would have had more to consider, and it would then depend on who I thought would be the most disruptive. In this case, I think it is highly likely under weak leadership the Labour party will be in deep trouble by Christmas, and we might even have another "winter of discontent" on our hands. I don't expect many of the people who voted for Labour this time were around to remember that.

IRV is an electoral system which lacks the property of monotonicity. This means that as popular opinion moves towards a party/candidate they can go from winning to losing. This makes it one of the worst electoral systems on offer.
I have my own concerns about changing to PR which I've discussed elsewhere but really the only benefit of AV would have been that ranked-choice ballots would give us more information to test better electoral systems against.
So it's not a surge of leftist voting but a split between the conservative voting base.

Well, this is what happens when you have a prime minister who is openly for remain, trying to negotiate a deal to leave.
There were no winners in this election. No party in Britain right now has a serious plan for fixing Britain's long-term economic and fiscal issues. Reform did well relative to its previous performance, but even with it filling a gap in the political market in the UK, overall voter turnout was still disturbingly low. That so many voters are staying home with parties covering a wide span of the political spectrum (Greens, LibDems, Reform) should be a sign that voters don't trust any party to offer a real way forward.
A lot of Britain's issues come down to myopic politicians who are too afraid to enact needed reforms that pay off in the long term, rather than by the next election cycle. It may take a Greece moment for Britain to realize that its current way of doing politics is not sustainable. The current right/left issues are what politicians focus on, because they are much more visible and easier to make progress on than addressing Britain's long-term stagnation.
Same in the US, the left has sound bites that boil down to "well throw money at it and maybe that'll make it feel better right now". The rights plan is "let's take money away from it and maybe that'll cause someone else to fix it down the line"
When politics fails (nobody voting at all for example). Then everyone is really in the s***. As that's when everything truly kicks off.
Depends, in part, on how much of the low turn out was a result of every commentator agreeing that the only real questions were about second place.

The irony isn't lost on me that I (and Britain at large) voted Brexit, Tories dragged their feet, finally left in 2020, and now we're trailing behind many European countries when it comes to the right-populist upswelling happening in many countries on the mainland. Unlike those European countries, we just didn't have a viable populist party until approximately six weeks ago. We didn't have a PVV, AfD, or National Rally. UKIP was close but passing Brexit and Farage leaving killed it (and Sargon if you want to buy into the meme). Reform was around but people like Richard Tice didn't inspire much confidence, especially when they bowed to Hope Not Hate smear jobs. Farage was the only name in the business with the clout to get it done.

They only got 4,117,221 votes, not 6 million. It's still a massive amount for a new party and puts them third in terms of votes. They've now got five years to build a grassroots movement, get more funding and hopefully challenge in 2029.

4 million is also still higher than the surge UKIP got in 2015, that scared Tories into offering the Brexit referendum. Somehow, I doubt Labour will change policy to limit the growth of his base in the next few years.

Nothing about conservatives (UK party) is conservative anymore.
The vote totals say it all. If Conservatives held firm, Labor lost millions of votes, they've been losing millions of votes. However in this election the conservative votes were HALVED. Labor didn't win, Conservatives got demolished. Usually US elections have 45 million or so per side. Imagine if the Democrats or Republicans got 20 million while the other got 30 million. Both sides got wrecked, but one moreso than the other.
It is interesting to hear you comment on the UK election and British politics for a change. Your analysis is far more nuanced than most foreigners, whose takeaway seems to be "UK voters love Labour and their policies, because they won" and leave it at that.
I don't see Labour catering to or listening to Reform voters any more now that they are in power than they did before. Accusations of racism in the UK have been far more effective at silencing people than they have in the US, coupled with strict "hate speech" laws, and I think Labour believe they can wield that cudgel once again to drum out Reform and silence their critics.
But I don't think they recognise how numb the public is becoming to such accusations these days. I think it is going to lose its rhetorical power, even if the laws become more robust, and they may find that the static base that got them in this time will disappear for the next election, as the problems become so apparent even Labour voters could recognise them.
I mean, if labour fixes like, 3 issues and reduces migration, thats it, they get back. the bar is set so fuckin low that its really difficult to fuck up!

I'm British. I voted Tory in 2019 and in 2024 voted Reform. Because the Tories had utterly failed to reduce immigration, legal and illegal. They had tripled the national debt and doubled the national budget. They were shit.

Apparently there were Conservative backbenchers who never trusted Sunak from when he was installed by the high up puppetmasters. One allegedly described Sunak as "An idiot who doesn't understand politics," and he had no backbone to push his initiatives through. His strategy was simply wishful thinking and finger crossing with no contingency plan to disarm the opposition . So when he inevitably faced opposition he would just fold like a bitch. Some say he called this election simply because he was told to and he's such a worthless muppet that he complied without considering how badly the Tories would get steamrolled. The main reasons for people voting for Brexit was to regain our sovereignty and control our borders. However, we are still subject to the ECHR and European laws that have already been passed. We have seen net migration from countries outside of Europe increase. The government is spending £8 billion per year housing illegal migrants in hotels. Seventy percent of social housing in London is occupied by foreign nationals.

it was always a uniparty but it kind of worked . A balance . Lib's and Conservative's . One comes in and spends lots of money and people catch up but the country turns to poop so they vote in the other party to do damage control but things get tight . The dance has been going on for a while but the Overton window has changed too far to the left and the balance is gone , the illusion is gone . The parties are blatantly not doing what they are voted in for . Conservatives made over 200 changes to immigration laws over their tenure, not including regularly raising fees and bringing in "private partners" to handle paperwork verification and biometrics to the tune of £300 per biometric ID card. Former Chancellor Osbourne said in Parliament that the immigration services are "for profit" - he just never said who was getting that profit.
They could claim to be hard on immigration all they want to appease some voters and backbenchers, but those at the top were never going to kill the golden goose and the kickbacks to themselves and their mates.

I would argue that unless he can present evidence to the contrary, Reform did not take away many Tory votes, rather what it did was give the disaffected Tories someone to vote for rather than spoil their ballots. Capital punishment is not a liberal vs authoritarian question. There will always be people who are a danger to themselves or others, however a more liberal society will accept a broader range of people and a more authoritarian society will have a more narrow range as well as special classes who would have exceptions from the moral code.

As someone who voted for the Reform Party there's good and bad news when it comes to voter turnout. The good news is that 4.1 million people voted for the Reform Party this general election. The bad news is that this is the same number that voted UKIP in 2015 meaning it's a stagnating number. While grabbing five seats in the House of Commons is amazing as well as having the political titan Nigel Farage, the party has to work hard on getting those extra voters in the areas where Reform came a close second. I have heard that around 600,000 extra voters spread across those constituencies is all that is needed, and I hear that a lot of the young voters that will be eligible to vote in 2029 will be voting Reform because they have zero love for Labour or Conservative thanks to social media being their main gateway into politics rather than the mainstream media. Nigel mentioned that in terms of social media influence the Reform Party dominated the political landscape. Interesting times ahead and this is on top of Keir Starmer being a WEF puppet who said in his PM speech that Britain needs a 'reset'.

I've had a discussion with someone who was asking for 'mercy' for the immigrants. I responded with a bunch of news links about how things are in UK. Thank you, UK, for showing us that immigration needs to be reasonable, I wish your people wouldn't have to suffer grapes because of your insane government, but thank you nonetheless.
It should also be noted that the 'first past the post' voting system is a huge reason why the labor won so big. Reform actually got wwaayy more votes than labor did. But given the way that FPP works labor got the votes.

Good video, but I think it’s important to note that Liz Truss’ government had also attempted to cap energy prices (mainly natural gas) while also cutting taxes, expecting to use government bonds to pay for it.
The markets got spooked, since this was expected to worsen the already terrible rates of inflation affecting the country, and many GBP assets started getting sold off. The Pound lost a lot of its strength relative to other currencies like the Euro or Dollar, and that slammed pension funds, who made up almost half of all private savings in the country.
Those funds were put in a sort of “doom loop”, where asset prices would fall, then these pension funds would be forced to get more collateral by the banks, and these funds would sell their gilts (government bonds) to meet their new requirements, lowering their value through the increased supply.
I read that a few of these funds were mere hours away from disaster, according to the Bank of England, and the government has been working ever since to try to prevent this from happening again.
This doesn’t detract from your video at all, as I’m sure that party infighting was a primary contributor as well, but I thought it was important to show the other major reason why she left office so soon.
I would still say that America and Canada have an underlying race associated with them, it's just a lot broader than in Europe. England wouldn't want to be overtaken by polish and Poland wouldn't want to be taken over by Italians, but in America all three of these groups would be in the main group. I think we've reached the farthest extent of "eh, good enough" we can do without going through with antiracism just so we can keep the immigration economy bandaid from being peeled off.

I understand the lesson, yet I still have concerns over this in the long term will be good for the UK. The track record with Farage is Brexit, and UKIP. Both being extremely well tied to the hip, but I don't know if he has learned to keep a party together simply due to lack of evidence. I understand and acknowledge the UK right, who I am not always a fan of, but their concerns are absolutely just. I just wonder if the pay off will be.

C) Neither Blair or Starmer believe in those things because those things are not what communists believe, or even what Marx believed.

I've voted Libertarian the last 2 Presidential elections (not sure if I will this year or not), but the party really doesn't make it easy for me. Do not expect Farage to stick around long enough to get anything done. He's a brilliant politician, he's a brilliant campaigner, he gets results; but he doesn't have the staying power required.
