edit: I do skim and comments mention Otaku did do some example such as free border and adortion what I mean by the question was meant to be a more precise answer, regardless main concern is that trump is better then Biden so "at least he competent" was added to say "isn't he the best choice?"

@mattkeepingazoriustactical yeah anyone talking about the economy doing better are probably only looking at the stock market, housing prices, and in some instances a rise in wages. However that all means fuck all when your gas, groceries, health care, taxes, insurance, materials all go up in price. Sure stock brokers and real-estate mogals are doing well and big bankers but the average person in the USA are feeling the squeeze of imminent economic collapse

Yeah sorry, if i want to see what the real effects of both leaders were here's what i know owning a small business:
From 16-19 i enjoyed record profits. Food was inexpensive as a single man, i was eating for about $250 a month. My 16 MPG truck was being filled for just over $60, and i could sell a high end gaming PC for anywhere from 850-1200. My office space rent was $550.
Today my office space rent is $870, filling my truck is over $100, food is $450/m and selling that same PC for $1,000 is now at minimum $1500. Whatever the stats says about how tiny inflation is under Biden or how great the economic recovery is quite frankly BS. I'm not the only American who sees it either. I noticed you left out CPI for your metrics. Wonder why that is. Even so CPI i think does not tell the whole story because the increases are way more brutal than FY22's abysmal 8% might seem. Last time it went to greater than 8% was in 1979.
We have two 4 year terms to look at, and Biden failed and failed hard and at the end of the day that's what matters.

Dev, this video demonstrates PRECISELY why some Trump supporters despise you.
You spend nearly 10 minutes pedantically hyperanalyzing the content of what Trump said, declaring them to be “lies,” or “half truths…” but when it came time to analyze the content of Biden’s answers? You only focused on one - ONE - measly point he made.
You may have spent the opening twenty minutes going over how Biden LOOKED bad, but when it came to the content of what Biden actually SAID during the debate and DID during his stint as president you absolutely did not give him anywhere near the level of scrutiny you gave Trump.
THIS right here has been a pattern in your content for the past few years that some of us have had a bone to pick with you over: when it comes to the Liberal establishments, it is painfully obvious that you give them the benefit of the doubt and forgo the level of scrutiny that you give to any other group or person.

Even given the full context, he is still using the quoted example where the baby is delivered then the talk about late term abortion would happen, hence post birth abortions being factually correct here. There is no real way around this, he said the baby would be delivered then the talk. His own words. The baby being abnormal doesnt change the fact that its now currently alive and delivered, outside the womb, post birth, and the talk about abortion happens then, post birth.
Yeah, the baby is abnormal, sure. Should we abort babies after birth because some people have abnormalities? Your added context doesnt change the fact that Northam described post birth abortions. Even if I give you the point that he is referring to a failed abortion attempt (even though the moment is talking about when that woman said 'yes' to an abortion happening during birth)- one of the conditions he states is that the baby has a serious fetal defect and wouldn't survive. And at that point, the decision between prolonging the child's life through pallative care vs. killing the child quickly becomes just another part of the debate between surviving but in terrible condition vs. killing to end suffering debate.

Palative care is the easing of suffering of those with terminal illness by using medicine before it kills them. I've been in a hospice enough to know.
It is NOT killing them before they sucumb by pulling the plug, that is textbook euthanasia and blatantly felonious in the overwhelming majority of U.S states.
You bringing up "palative care" makes even less sense when you realize Northam was referring to children born with defects, not terminal illness.
To Northam, it's perfectly acceptable to kill a baby that was born with cleft pallet or a heart condition because it's a "major defect".
It doesn't matter to him that people with serious conditions like those are able to live relatively normal lives with the help of a medical procedure or lifestyle adjustments.
This is ultimately why your rebuttal of Trumps talk about Democratic support of late-term abortion falls so flat to a lot of us, as the "context" further reinforces what Trump claimed to be true.

"Major deformities" is a very broad medical term, and includes many birth defects that are NOT life-threatening.
To Northam, it is completely acceptable to perform a late-term abortion on a child born with cleft pallet or a heart defect.
This is in complete disregard to the fact that people born with one of those 2 or many other non-fatal "major defects" are able to live long and relatively normal lives with the help of a medical procedure or life style adjustment.
With this knowledge there's no other way but to call these "late-term abortions" anything else than what they are; blatant eugenics.
This is the main reason you calling Trump incorrect by whipping out the "muh wider context" as a defense of Northam's quote along with your constant mention of the irrelevant "palliative care" makes you look like someone who will make copious logical reaches in order to say he wasn't wrong when he clearly was.
Trump is factually correct in saying Democrats like Northam support late-term abortions, as rewatching the clip "in-context" makes Trump's assertion even stronger.
I don't expect any response considering you appear to run for the hills the moment anyone destroys your assertion in a way you can't counter, but just admit you were wrong dude.

Dev I get why you think Northam was talking about palliative care, I'm not deranged enough to not see how if you're being charitable to him you can take his statement to mean that, but I just don't think that's the natural reading of his statement. He never said the words palliative care, he said "Keep the baby comfortable while the parents and doctors have a discussion." A discussion about what? The context of the clip is late term abortion, I think it can be reasonably assumed the discussion would be about ending the life of the child artificially, i.e. a post-birth abortion. Surely you can see how that interpretation of his statement, even with the full context, is still a reasonable reading?

26:27 Yo Dev I'm from Va and have lived here over half my life. You need to look up a video of delegate Kathy Tran taking questions about the bill during committee to get the totality of what's going on. You can find a full vid on youtube but one of the key points is that Tran said her bill allows abortions to be carried out "up to the point of dilation" along with some other zingers.
Northam wasn't exactly brand new politically but he was an old guard uniparty type, passed left wing policy but liked Bush, you get the idea. When that video of Tran answering questions on her bill came out it looked like he paid lip service to it but tried to distance himself and the party because him and his team knew what the committee video meant for Va Dems during the next election cycles and they were hoping it'd die quietly. It was a wrong time wrong place kind of thing and there was probably internal party disagreement since Va Dems weren't 100% going radical at the time. You can find another video where Northam is talking about supporting and prioritizing the Repeal act and then someone else with his team comes to the podium and adds that they're supporting and prioritizing Tran's Reproductive Rights bill which I think Northam left unspoken on purpose, though I could be over-analyzing.
Point being he feigns ignorance in the WTOP interview as to precisely what Tran said during the questioning period (which is simply not possible, he would have been briefed and done his homework since this was a political firestorm in Va at the time) but with the added context of what Tran said in committee the "decide what to do" portion of what Northam said aligns with the "abortion up to dilation" portion of what Tran said in questioning while still being palatable to anyone who might be middling on abortion and only caught the radio interview.
TL:DR Northam ran defense for Tran's bill for party unity but tried to keep the legislation at arms length as well. It didn't work out and his comments are married to the answers Tran gave in committee (abortion up to dilation, etc, more in the videos but this was the key soundbyte) which gives you the Trump comment on stage.
This is the kind of stuff that a politician would keep on their radar and in their memory but a normal out of stater and indeed someone from out of country would have a hard time studying. Not exactly Va deep lore but it helps to be from here.

    • @Bersafor2
      @Bersafor2 7 днів тому +3

I also need to point out the WTOP presenter in the video here says Tran's bill WOULD prevent an abortion at the stage of dilation which, if you watch the committee video, is explicitly the OPPOSITE of what Tran herself said. I'm guessing the WTOP presenter misspoke.

Trump, vs Biden who is a vegetable, is like the ultimate enlightened-centrist-destroyer. Because enlightened centrists either have to acknowledge reality and give the nod to Trump over Biden-vegetable, or they have to reveal themselves as being left-wing partisans.

Lot of bad Canuck takes here. The pseudo-intellectual take of "i wouldn't vote for them both so they're both bad" im above the bipartisan system gets so old. We had the best economy in the world during Trump, now we have the most inflation weve had in 40, years. Your pick.

At the same time, is it too much to ask that our president act with some dignity?
It's not like Trump is sacrificing anything politically if he just learned to shut up and play nice once in a while. Shoot, he might actually accomplish more if he did.

Yeah, that’s what frustrates me most about Dev. Like bro, what other options do we have? Personally, I never had an issue with Trump. The only thing I’m still pissed about was his dogshit cabinet picks, cause those inevitably fucked him over.
Also, just… the audacity of a Canadian trying to suggest a better pick for US President is a whole can of worms in and of itself.

I watch your channel off and on, you nailed Biden pretty well but you were reaching hard with Trump... So criticisms, sorry:
    - I'm not a Trumper and plan to do a write in.
1 - The video you gave of Trump VS Bush and now Trump VS Biden, Trump did better today than back under Bush in his answer and he was no slower of slurring.
2 - The clip of Biden and Trump in 2020, still... no real measurable change in Trump IMO... he was allowed to interrupt then but not at the CNN debate so there is less "fire"
3 - 3rd clip, Trump instantly delivers "He was right, he beat Medicare, he beat it to death" No slur, not lag...
4 - Gavin is possibly more of a lying yes man than Biden... and Biden has always been a empty shell of a human saying yes to whatever get's him support in that exact moment.
5 - You glossed over her saying, "Biden knows everyone of these questions is coming."
6 - Jailing Trump was in fact always a plan of the Democrats and their media... you pretending it's not true makes m roll my eyes a bit.
7 - You said "A harsh sentence against Trump would effect his electability, and there are people in Government who know this." What does that even mean? Who are these people that "know" the future when people keep getting it wrong? You kinda just made stuff up there and a harsh sentence would probably help Trump as now most people see the media lies to them and that the DOJ has been weaponized to protect Joe who has no mind and can't win without such weaponization.
8 - You point out that Biden went to a waffle house and had energy, but didn't mention that apparently he was sick and magically got better.
9 - You claim the next day Biden had a prte6tty good rally... but he has a bus of cheerleaders, said nothing and read it all off a teleprompter. It's back to being staged, where they can make Biden look great.
    Headed to bed.
Not being a dick here, just sayin, you dislike Trump and that's fine, he ain't my guy and I do live here... but often when people don't like someone they kinda see things to support that even if it's not there or not really relevant. Yes, Trump is getting older, I liked Vivek, so I get it, totally... But I assume you like feedback, even if you don't read it.

_"Bidens energy is the same between the debate and rally, he just had a teleprompter and a cheering crowd"_

I placed this comment to Dev under the pinned comment, but I figure that it's probably worth discussing with other people and no one but maybe Dev will see it in a 250+ comment chain. So I'm reposting it here.
Honestly, Dev, your whole rant at 21:00 comes off like bad faith criticism. You intentionally said something controversial and then purposefully didn't elaborate for over two-thirds of the video to try and bait people into saying something outrageous. Then you took the most tepid questioning of you that was possible and pretended like they were screaming about you being a commie. You even pinned it so that you could have your entire audience put this guy on blast...
You should really take your own advice. In particular, the part about doing some self-reflection. You can't reasonably call someone out for "being a snowflake with TDS" when you're unironicly acting the exact same way.
If you're gonna do this, at least actually use an example of someone being ridiculous rather than someone politely asking you to elaborate because they assumed that you weren't gonna after you deliberately chose not to elaborate for most of the video.
You're starting to remind me of Just Some Guy.
