Chip, great repair video. I’ve never seen a cracked tub on the Whirlpool VMW machines.
I wish Whirlpool would have kept the spin block and spanner nut design. That plastic hub currently used to hold the tub in place strips out way too often.
That was a first for me too. But if it happens once it’s bound to happen again!
Greetings. What a whole lot of work for a tiny leak. Wow. What do you use the WD40 for? I often see it on your red box. Thanks for the info re: petroleum. Does it degrade the rubber? Could lithium grease be used? Do spiders populate the machine in your bone yard?

I use the WD40 dry lube on dryer rollers and the regular stuff for everything else. I don’t think lithium grease degrades rubber. I do see a few spiders in the boneyard but I always think that they value their lives as much as I value my own so I mostly leave the alone.
