Seether has a ton of great songs, and most of them are pretty deep. Rise Above This comes to mind, Shaun wrote it about his brother Eugene who committed suicide by jumping off the building they were staying at while on tour.

Seether...they aren't many I don't like. There so many I love I'm not sure I could name all in a sitting.
I'd have to roll a playset I have of most of there stuff.
Amy Lee "Call me when you're sober" to Shaun &
Suggest Breakdown by Seether he slung back at her.
Im just greatful it sparked such pain and blow me away music from both.

if im remembering correctly this song was originally recorded as a solo with just the band seether and was about the singer missing his daughter. . then it was rerecorded as a duet with amy and kinda morphed into a relationship/love song

    • @CrystalDragon22
      @CrystalDragon22 3 роки тому +2

I can see it making sense in both contexts. Even with Amy I could see a couple that might have lost a kid relating to this song as well. Its all about what emotions hit you for what reasons. Seeing a song in a different light is a big part of why music can be so interesting.

Correct, Shaun wrote the song about missing his young daughter while he was out on the road. Then he started dating Amy Lee and she came in as the duet. Def can give you two meanings if you look at it that way.

Great reaction, guys. You reflect on the actual meaning behind the lyrics and harmony and the structure of the song itself.
May I recommend you check Amy S current stuff? Everybody just reacts to the music she released during 2003-2007 but nowadays she has matured and has became one heck of an artist.
She released tons of music during this couple of years. If you liked her harmonies with Shaun on this one, you d like the duet she did with Bring Me the Horizon called “One day the only butterflies left will be in your chest as you march towards your death”. The whole song is about mankind relationship with planet earth. Check it out.

Asia and BJ, your commentary is spot on and relevant in today's world. What I'm getting from what you've said about this song and Rock music in general is this: we all have preconceived notions about things but if we OPEN OUR MINDS to unfamiliar things and people, OUR HEARTS WILL FOLLOW. There's beauty that can be found in unexpected places if we are willing to go there. Bravo.....consider me a new sub. 👏

Rock music is all about emotion. Whether it's joy, anger, sorrow, love, etc. Seethe is very good though they sound a bit different than this song usually.

Seether did a live acoustic set called one cold night? or something close. One of the best live sets I have ever heard... ever.

Love the channel ). I don't know if you guys play cover songs on here, but Seether has an Excellent copy of George Michaels " Careless Whisper ". With his voice, its a great unique tune.

Seether does a great remake of George Michael’s Careless Whisper check it out. Amy Lee has arguably the most beautiful and haunting voices in rock. You should feel chills with every note that comes out of her mouth. These two were together for some time. The song that Evanescence does called You Never Call Me When You’re Sober is about him.

Seether Shaun & Amy Lee were a couple and weirdest thing I found out with Seether. I been a big fan since they came on the scene here in us. I didn't know the band is a south african rock band. fr fr
I never heard of rock from that region and I'm still amazed by it.
Seether I've seen in concert like 5 times & I'm hoping to see them again.
Amy Lee is so beautiful voice.
    my favs from her are
    Missing
    Hello
    Tourniquet
    Good enough
My immortal (made fav from PS2 Karaoke revolution. I would sing it and my middle girl would be waiting to sing another song and she'd always fall asleep to me singing it.)
Alot of the early stuff and now the retro or oldies station be playing all the songs we'd love singing on that PS2. We also have still all the sing star series of PS2 Karaoke games.
The Wii and Xbox brought us into the sing and dance dance revolution games.
OMG lmao trying to be cool with the moves but I'm so uncoordinated and tend to not present on the outside what my head be playing. Im seeing the dance from videos & have my own jams.
My kids either luv it or ask me to not while in public but we know I can't stop.
Yeah I look insane n traffic but tbh Idgf it's my commute too.
    Long live these songs.
Thanks 4 reacting to them. 💜👍🔥😉🤟

One of my favorite male/female duet songs is “Said Sadly” by Smashing Pumpkins which has their other guitarist James Iha on vocals
