Seether has a ton of great songs, and most of them are pretty deep. Rise Above This comes to mind, Shaun wrote it about his brother Eugene who committed suicide by jumping off the building they were staying at while on tour.

Correct, Shaun wrote the song about missing his young daughter while he was out on the road. Then he started dating Amy Lee and she came in as the duet. Def can give you two meanings if you look at it that way.
Kudos to Asia for opening her heart and mind to another genre of music. Warms my heart and my soul. This coming from a metalhead who loves the sultry sounds of a Bob Seger, Eagles and my beloved SRV. Love the openness. Blessings
If I'm not mistaken, this was written for Shaun's daughter... Such an all-around beautiful song, and the combination of their voices is just breathtaking
Seether is a big part of my 20's they are under appreciated and one of my favorite bands your should listen to more of them songs like driven under, truth, the gift, sympathetic all great
I've been a massive fan of Seether ever since I heard Rise Above This back in the day. That song hit me somewhere I don't even know. Also I'm sure this has been mentioned somewhere else, but these 2 dated for a while, and I remember hearing that Call Me When You're Sober was written about their relationship. Can't confirm if true or not.
That would be the violin, and other stringed instruments. It's possible they were synthesized, or prerecorded with an actual orchestra or individually added in.
Seether is my favorite band. There's just something about Shaun Morgan's raspy voice. He has such a uniqueness to him. His cover of Careless Whisper is amazing!
Man Seether was great! Every time I hear this song reminds me on my sister, she loves Seether and Amy Lee! She used to sing to it and play the guitar to this song!🤟😎🤘👍
Seether, my favorite band of all time... Love that duet already. I think you'll appreciate their song "Wasteland", from Si Vis Pacem Para Bellum. Keep it up, you're great !
I've seen Seether probably a dozen times in concert (usually at multi-band festivals) and they always deliver. I'll never forget Ben (from Breaking Benjamin) and Shaun (from Seether) teaming up to cover Deftones. Awesome!
Fun fact, Shaun Morgan of seether and Amy Lee were a couple for a while but they broke up because of his drinking problem. She wrote the song call me when you’re sober about him, that would be a cool on for you guys to do!
My guys you are reacting to great songs! Props for that! The instruments you heard in that interlude were violins mostly and probably some cello. Keep it up guys! Oh and in those days Amy Lee and Shaun the singer of Seether were a couple. Call me when you’re sober she wrote it for him and in the end he wasn’t happy with that. I mean a lot of things happen. Anyway keep it up!
Long live Rock!! Witchcraft,is the band(from Sweden). An Alternative to Freedom, is the song, from the album Legend. Seether has alot of good songs. This will forever be a music staple for me. I saw both bands live and this song live transcended everything you could expect. Amys voice live is better than recorded. It was ethereal.
Got to see them perform this live when Seether opened for Nickelback, many years ago (Hamilton, Canada). Shaun Morgan (the lead singer) was still dating Amy Lee at the time. I love Seether's version of Careless Whisper as well.
I love Going Under too BJ! Lead singer was with Amy Lee for a while but she couldn’t deal with his drinking. That’s what I heard. I love Seether and Amy Lee both!!
I'm always happy to see people come out of their comfort zone when it comes to music. Whether it be Rock, Metal, Rap, Hip-Hop, Country, Bluegrass, Rhythm, Blues, Jazz or instrumental. If it sounds good I'll listen to it.

I am glad you reviewed this one.. Music transcends all. There are so many, many great songs that people miss out on because of what they might think it is, just like when we as people judge other people because of the way they look without giving them a chance... Thank you for what you do.
