Nickelback is underrated....out of every 10 critics of Nickelback, 9 had their cd's and 8 had concert tix. Amy Lee could sing the phone book with her amazing voice
Guess I'm the 1 or 2 in your scenario. The problem with labeling them underrated is ignoring that a ton of people have heard their songs and decided "Nah, I'm good." Whereas most bands that are truly underrated never have had the kind of exposure or audience Nickelback did in the 2000s
‘03, ,04 Shaun (lead singer of Seether) used to sing like that in studio versions, but after the second album his voice was raspy, heavy and unique. check out Fine Again, Remedy and Fake It or any song from their acoustic album.
Seether is Seether, they aren't copying anyone, influenced, sure, but you can't gauge a bands sound off of one song that unbeknownst to you is out of their normal sound.
This is my first video I've seen of your guys and shout out to MrLBoyd, Brad and Lex and CartierFamily for leading teh way and allowing you guys to copy, I mean follow! LOL
They never copied anyone, y'all missed it on that. They were around before most of that other stuff you guys are taking about, y'all need to do your research
I think it's hard to judge a particular band or vocalist based on one song. Seether arrived at the success they got to because over time, they developed a really unique style that was "just" close enough to grunge to catch a lot of the 90s grunge/alternative fans, but they also dipped their toes into the Nu-Metal genre when it was popping off. And the more songs you hear of theirs, Shaun Welgemoed's vocal style becomes extremely recognizable even among other bands that sound like Seether. Karma and Effect was a fantastic album. "The Gift" and "Remedy" are classics.
Please do more Seether. They have so many great songs, most of them pretty heavy. Definitely heavier than this, anyway. They're one of my favorite bands.
If Seether copied anyone it would be Nirvana. Early Seether (Saron Gas was their original band name) is very reminiscent of Kurt Cobain vocally. But this song is their big commercial hit. A lot of people in the comments are recommending their cover of Careless Whisper but it's just as overplayed as Broken. For some good Seether songs I'd recommend No Jesus Christ, 69 Tea, Fade Away, Eyes of the Devil, Needles, Driven Under... But if you go with their hits I would say Gasoline, Fake It, Remedy, Fine Again, Nobody Praying For Me would all be alright.
This is one of those that radio played to death and turned a lot of people off, but it's a legit great song and Amy Lee is the star on anything she's on.
Nobody is a bigger Pearl Jam fan than me, but I don't think Shaun Morgan is a copy of Eddie. Seether has their own unique sound that you'll hear on some of their harder rock songs.
Shaun Morgan is aping Kurt. Kind of weird that of all those mentioned, that's the one not mentioned. Kurt and Eddie don't sound much alike, and Chris Cornell is different entirely. The idea that this sound is an example a clear carbon copy of Eddie is pretty weird. I've found that most people who talk about the way Eddie sings don't really seem to be very familiar with how Eddie sings.
You are right.... Nickelback is underrated like very much! I went to their concert with my cuz one time not thinking I'd have fun.... That shit was one of the best concerts I've ever been to! No joke! There is a reason they are widely hated... bc they are widely loved as well...
I think y'all need to understand the difference between copying and being influenced by. This guy has been influenced by, but is not copying a particular style of singing. An example of copying would be Puddle of Mud, did their best to duplicate Eddie Vedder's style of singing. Many singers did, which is where this sound originated from not Scott Stapp from Creed who was also influenced by Vedder.
The greatest Seether song ever is "No Jesus Christ" IMHO. "The Gift" live acoustic is amazing too. Their cover of "Careless Whisper" is one of the best covers ever.
The complaint about sounding alike cracks me up as I sure did include them on my Men Who Sound Alike station on Pandora proudly. It goes from Pearl Jam to Lifehouse to Seether to Daughtry and on and on. The lead singers of all these groups are reminiscent of each other so it's hilarious to hear them back to back but yes, I still hear the unique features of their voices song to song
Suggestions for Seether; 'Disseased', 'Pig', 'Breakdown', 'No Jesus Christ', 'Fur Cue', 'Hang On', 'Sold Me' are all great choices and if you want something to make comparisons with, Shawn Morgan's voice is great for covers. Check out there acoustic cover of 'Change' by the deftones. INCREDIBLE
I know everyone is spamming songs they want you to listen to, but the One Cold Night acoustic version of "Truth" is one of the best live performances I've ever heard.

Great reaction as always. I am always blinded by my nostalgia/music I'm use to, you guys really hit the nail on the head every time. So true how a lot of bands sang like that.
Such a great track. I love thrash, death, glam, etc, but post grunge holds a special place in my heart. Bands like these hit a nostalgic sweet spot for many! Speaking of Nickelback, y’all gotta get back to them. Because of You, Too Bad, Hangnail and This Means War are criminally underrated songs. You’d love em.

@@Joe45-91agreed. if you were nonstop on the radio everywhere and people feel you’re not getting enough credit, you are not underrated😂
Can't believe this is the first song suggested from this band. 👀
‘03, ,04 Shaun (lead singer of Seether) used to sing like that in studio versions, but after the second album his voice was raspy, heavy and unique. check out Fine Again, Remedy and Fake It or any song from their acoustic album.
Kind of disrespectful to say they copy. These dudes are very unique. Check out others by them
If y'all want a complete 180 of this band you guys should listen to Because of Me or Pig
Seether is Seether, they aren't copying anyone, influenced, sure, but you can't gauge a bands sound off of one song that unbeknownst to you is out of their normal sound.
You will never understand what this song meant to people between the ages of 25-35
Also, What This band meant meant to us
This is my first video I've seen of your guys and shout out to MrLBoyd, Brad and Lex and CartierFamily for leading teh way and allowing you guys to copy, I mean follow! LOL
I love Seether. Please give some of his other stuff a try. The lead is very talented.
They never copied anyone, y'all missed it on that. They were around before most of that other stuff you guys are taking about, y'all need to do your research
Well said!!!!!
Thrilled to see you guys do Seether. A top 5 favorite band of mine.
One of my favorite songs. Amy Lee's verse is the best part. ❤
Suggested songs: Gasoline, Haang on, Six Gun Quota, No Jesus Christ, Weak.
354 million cant be wrong. Incredible song.
Carless Whisperer by Seether is a great cover! Probably the best I've heard.
Please do more Seether. They have so many great songs, most of them pretty heavy. Definitely heavier than this, anyway. They're one of my favorite bands.
Seether is South African ?
Holy sht.
Never knew that.
Saw them in concert opening for audioslave. Awesome friggin band.
BRO HOW I MISS THIS REACTION i love seether NOTHING BUT BANGERS 🔥🔥🔥🔥
Damn, talked/laughed through the whole thing.
Seether is Rock.
Seether goes hard. You absolutely need to give them another reaction (Dangerous, Remedy, Bruised and Bloodied)
Did anyone mention the drama? After Shaun and Amy broke up, Shaun released “Fake it” as a dig on Amy and then Amy released “Call me when you’re sober”
I agree that Seether has a strong Nirvana influence in their music… btw I have the South African 1st press of that Saron Gas CD in my collection 😎
hahahahahahaha! Seether, Hinder, Skillet...all on that Nickelback dumpster fire! This was great!
I always remember them for their awesome metal Careless Whisper cover.
You are right.... Nickelback is underrated like very much! I went to their concert with my cuz one time not thinking I'd have fun.... That shit was one of the best concerts I've ever been to! No joke! There is a reason they are widely hated... bc they are widely loved as well...
Seether rise above this, fine again are good songs to react to
I would not say it's a copy after just one song, they have several songs that sound different from one another which I think make them a great band
Seether’s first album was awesome.
Any of these by Seether: Breakdown, Rise Above This, Beg, Dead and Done, See You At the Bottom, Fine Again, or Gasoline
Finally Seether!!! Been waiting a long time for this reaction
I love the music, singing, and lyrics of this song. Especially, when going through a heartbreak 💔
Thanks for taking me back to my youth 🥰 this came out when I was a teenager and loved it
Suggestions for Seether; 'Disseased', 'Pig', 'Breakdown', 'No Jesus Christ', 'Fur Cue', 'Hang On', 'Sold Me' are all great choices and if you want something to make comparisons with, Shawn Morgan's voice is great for covers. Check out there acoustic cover of 'Change' by the deftones. INCREDIBLE
If you havent yet you really need to watch the video MY IMMORTAL by Evanecance. She shines bright in that one
Amy Lee and the singer from Seether were a couple for a while. Seether has some great rocking songs. Please dive into them more.
I know everyone is spamming songs they want you to listen to, but the One Cold Night acoustic version of "Truth" is one of the best live performances I've ever heard.
" I can't tell if this is Creed or my man Eddie Vedder LOL !😂😂😂😂
I love this band. Everything song is so good.
SEETHER IS AN AWESOME BAND.. THEY CHECK OFF ALOT OF THINGS YOU GUYS LIKE IN A BAND. LOTS OF SONGS YOU'LL ENJOY.. MY FAVORITES WOULD HAVE TO BE
"The Gift"
"Rise above this"
"Tonight"
"Driven Under"
"Breakdown"
"Fine Again"
DEFINITLY CHECK THEM OUT..
Nothing wrong with this song. Simple and executed well. This song just fell in the whole crap not this song again category lol. SEETHER "Fuck It" is my recommendation
He's got a lot different sounding songs. He's a great singer
The duet aspect is what saves it for me.
Seether is a phenomenal band. You won't hear bad talk about them like Creed or Nickelback. You're listening to their soft song recorded for a soundtrack. Gasoline, love her, Careless Whisper and Driven under are outstanding.
Great reaction as always. I am always blinded by my nostalgia/music I'm use to, you guys really hit the nail on the head every time. So true how a lot of bands sang like that.
Thank you for saying ‘all notifications’ I didn’t know that🙏🏼
This band is for real. Listen to Disclaimer start to finish. A great album.
