Try cooking it in a frying pan. Let your steak sit out at room temp for about 30 mins and season with black peppercorn and sea salt only. Put olive oil in the pan and let it get hot until it's almost smoking but not smoking out the steak down for 1 minute and flip over 1 minute on the other side. After the second minute is up throw in a half stick of butter, smashed garlic cloves and thyme. Cook for 1 minute each side spooning the butter mixture over the whole time and flipping after each minute for about 4 minutes. Feel the steak and it should have the same texture as the meat on the bottom part of you palm next to the base of your thumb. Let it sit for about 5 minutes before you cut it so the juices don't spill out. It's way better this way but air fryer is ok for quick and easy

I'm cooking steak for the first time in my Ninja Dual Zone tonight and now you've got me excited! Thank you for the amazing content that you put out - I subscribed to the channel after the first video that I watched because they are just perfectly presented with genuinely fantastic tips! On a side note, the sauce you add to the parsley butter is pronounced here in the UK as "Wussta-Sheer" sauce, based on the pronunciation for the county of the same name. Utterly unimportant (and a product of our odd pronunciations of places over here) but just for your interest! :)
Yep yep yep....Made the steak, followed your advice and the steak was literally restaurant-level - at a fraction of the effort and a tiny fraction of the mess of the usual pan frying.... The Ninja Dual Zone that I have has a temperature probe with meat presets included for the first basket, so all I had to do once the steak was prepped and the air fryer had been preheated is put the probe into the meat, set the air fryer to Beef - Medium and it literally cooked itself, no timing or temperature required. And all while some french fries automatically sync-cooked to perfection in the basket next door! I think I'll be buying steak more often now 😂👍🏻
Just made grocery store New York strips in the air fryer for dinner today. Took them out of their packages and put them in the air fryer basket. Cooked 6 minutes each side at 400ºF. Temp was 147ºF after 12 minutes. Perfect. Moist. Tender. Mouthwateringly delicious. Salted at the table. If I had seen this video first I might have been scared off cooking them in the air fryer! All that work! ha ha ha The butter reminded me… My mother used to grill steaks to the texture of shoe soles, and then pour melted butter over them.
Love air fryer steak and great video! I brush a tiny bit of liquid smoke while the steak is getting to room temp, gives it that grill flavor. I also seer the fat cap after preheating rather than just throw them in.
I just recently purchased an air fryer. I love it. Due to a medical condition I am on a strict low sodium diet, so no salt for me. I have cooked tilapia with Mrs. Dash Garlic seasoning. Half the cooking time of the oven and so tasty. Love your ideas and suggestions. Thank you.
after your tipp i got a termometer like this, its so helpful with chicken Tights. Simply insane how plain Meat can taste i wont even need salt they have so much juice in it. Even after rested in fridge over night they stil insanely juicy to be eaten cold. I run them on 170°C 15 min , than ramp up to 205°C for 1 mins ... insanely good, i put mine on the skewer Rack, all the air can crirculate and fat / juice runs down. They become so crispy and juicy.
I love all your tips and recipes! You're by far my favorite kitchen guru- so much so that I got the exact air fryer you recommended. It's perfection! Thank you so much! ❤️
Definitely going to try your method! I'm away from home trucking most of the time so only have an air fryer and never been able to make a good steak in it.
I just ordered the Chop Box! Thanks for the recommendation, I've been looking for good place to get meat in bulk for a good price. Love your channel by the way.
Your so beautiful with a gorgeous smile .. love watching your videos ... I love my steak with a better crust .. maybe a blow torch would be a good idea with the butter marinade x
When my husband grills steak he seasons liberally with S&P but when he takes it off the heat to rest he makes loose foil pouch around them. The condensation in the foil makes a “juice” that is flipping fabulous. So after I air fried my first set of steaks I did the same thing. I cut my steak and drizzle it over the bites. Yum Yum.
Great recipe, I absolutely love your channel and subscribed a while ago, just one thing though, I've noticed on a few channels that you guys sometimes have trouble pronouncing Worcestershire. Don't bother with the 'c' it's pretty much obsolete so if you were to write it as we pronounce it here in the UK, it would be written as wustersher....'wust' as in bust, 'er' as in the er at the end of burger and 'sher' as in sherman (tank), wust-er-sher. Hope that helps, it's a pretty stupid word even for us (unless you actually live in Worcestershire, then it's great 😂)x
Loved mine for reheating a steak that I cooked earlier that day I placed it in the air fryer compartment set it for 3 minutes @ 250° it was much better then reheating it in the microwave which over cooks it.
Thank you for doing this channel!! We have just got 2 air fryers and made steak twice! (tonight as well)...used your tips and its fabulous!! Your channel has me looking at EVERY recipe and thinking...can I do that in the air fryer?? YUM!!

I only let the meat sit for 20 mnts and dry it as you instructed before cooking it in the air fryer and I swear to God I've never seen true gold color on a steak's fat in my life, flavor was completely different than other stakes I have ever made in a grill or air fryer. Thank you so much for this small but very important life changing tips when cooking.

Just started watching you and I just got an air fryer. Yep I’m behind the times. Well after seeing this video I decided to try our Rib Eyes in the Air Fryer instead the grill since it is 106 degrees outside (heat index 115) 🤯
OMG thank you
So very good. Was my first time but won’t be the last.
I always love the high quality of your videos😍! Such a great watch! As a chef, I definitely agree that less is more when it comes to seasoning meats, I normally do just salt and pepper😀! I don’t eat meat anymore though, but I still enjoyed this video❤️! You’re the best 🤗! Thanks for sharing 👍🏿
You're so sweet! Thank you for always leaving kind comments!
@@empoweredcooks Aww, THANK YOU❤️! And you’re welcome💕!
I think I'll be buying steak more often now 😂👍🏻
No joke my rib eye came out suuuuper tender and juicy. Thank you!!!
I made this and it’s amazing!
I used a Prime New York Strip that I briefly dry aged in the fridge overnight and omg it was so delicious
YUMMY!
I have never enjoyed cooking but now that I have an air fryer and Cathy’s help, I am having more success and it is almost fun.
I get that! :)
So I have to cook 6 minutes each side for medium rare??
@@maricelisfigueroa856 depends on thickness. Use your thermometer.
Making this tonight! I’ve never cooked a steak in my life so I hope this goes well!
How did it go, Tierany?
@@empoweredcooks it was delicious! I can’t wait to make it again 😍
Love air fryer steak and great video! I brush a tiny bit of liquid smoke while the steak is getting to room temp, gives it that grill flavor. I also seer the fat cap after preheating rather than just throw them in.
Great idea, Adam! Thanks for sharing!
Thank you.
You're welcome - I'm glad you're finding ways to make it work for you!
Tilapia is garbage fish...read up on it
@@gael3525 Again due to a medical condition and the availability of low sodium protein options in my area, I regularly eat farm raised tilapia.
after your tipp i got a termometer like this, its so helpful with chicken Tights.
Wonderful, you are going to love it!
Definitely going to try your method! I'm away from home trucking most of the time so only have an air fryer and never been able to make a good steak in it.
I just got done cooking our first air fried rib eye, they came out delicious. Thank you for these videos and showing us how to use our air fryer.
Yummy! Glad you enjoyed and you are welcome!
Going to give this a go tonight, looks lovely, one tip for you
Worcestershire sauce is pronounced wus ta shire sauce
I just ordered the Chop Box! Thanks for the recommendation, I've been looking for good place to get meat in bulk for a good price. Love your channel by the way.
Yay! Glad they deliver to your area!
Just bought an air fryer, thank you for this video, very helpful

My 🥩 was seasoned with 🧄 powder

Sounds yummy! Plus I love all your emojis! ☺️🤗
This was helpful. Thank you! 👍
Your so beautiful with a gorgeous smile .. love watching your videos ... I love my steak with a better crust .. maybe a blow torch would be a good idea with the butter marinade x
Thank you 😋
Tried this tonight and it turned out SO juicy, wow! Thank you for the tips!!
Glad you liked it!!
the best air fryer steak instruction on youtube !
Nice lady, however She takes forever to get to the point. Watch Richard in the Kitchen on filets, gets it done in one minute.
You just saved me 6mins thank you.
Thank you
Yea lol

I respectfully have to disagree with you bud. This video and woman was very helpful and informative! Fantastic video!
Yum Yum.
Amazing tip, thanks @lorridzak !
Absolutely delicious and cooked to perfection! Thanks Cathy 💕🤗
I'm so glad it's been working well for you! Thanks Ellen!
So happy I found this channel!
Welcome aboard!
Thank you Steve :) I've had several friends on the other side of the pond nicely correct me. I think I'm getting it right now! lol
I’m saving this video. You did a great job. I’ll likely get the same air fryer. Thanks for posting
Your channel is blowing up!! Woo hoo!!!
Thank you!
Loved mine for reheating a steak that I cooked earlier that day
I placed it in the air fryer compartment set it for 3 minutes @ 250° it was much better then reheating it in the microwave which over cooks it.
Agreed!
My dad would bug out seeing how many sheets of paper towels you used to pay that steak
Same ahahah
Kathy, I like just salt and black pepper for seasoning...Thank you!
142 F is too high, even for medium. That's more of a medium well
Thank you for doing this channel!! We have just got 2 air fryers and made steak twice! (tonight as well)...used your tips and its fabulous!! Your channel has me looking at EVERY recipe and thinking...can I do that in the air fryer?? YUM!!
So glad you are here! Thank you for your nice words :)
Got air fryer for Xmas from my daughter. Getting ready to cook first steak. Your video was first to come up so I'm going with you. I'll let you know how it is and thank you.
Can't wait to hear all about it!
Thanks you. Fiancé and I cooked 2 Rib Eyes 5 minutes each side with the butter herb recipe
Great job!
I just made that steak today and it was awesome!
Great to hear!
Thanks! Was too cold to grill tonight. Appreciate your tips gonna give it a try
Woo hoo!
