    Thank you so much for this awesome tutorial! So easy to follow and turns out beautifully. I will say, I am more intermediate than beginner in crochet. This is my advice: The headband is a one-size fits most size. I would say it’ll fit most any teen girl/women’s heads. If you find this is too small, you likely need to make sure you are using a 10mm hook, super bulky yarn, and having a looser tension (like she says in the video). Even one size too small on the hook or yarn and holding the yarn too tightly will greatly reduce the size.

    Great tutorial for a second-project-in beginner, but my first try at this was 6” too small. I undid it, added 12 chain loops, and it turned out perfect! **anyone else reading this might want to consider a US hat size 7 1/4 head (average size in US) should probably do what I did and make this quite a bit bigger**

    • @charlottehyatt9601
      @charlottehyatt9601 6 місяців тому +1

      If it’s too small give it to a child. I don’t undo things if they come out right, just to small or too large.

      I did 49 and measured it to my head and it fit. Once I got 3 rows in I checked again and it was way too small. I think it’s because I was doing the stitches too tight and inconsistent. I’m just learning and trying to figure out tension.

      The first row after the chain? Some people call the chain the first, others it’s the 1sr official stitch row. After u chain on, and turn, make sure your first stitch is a single stitch. The go into the last thread of the last stitch, closest to your next stitch, then continue like u would do a single stitch. Same with next stitch….. hope it helps

      It will not take 30 minutes for a beginner, and it’s super discouraging to set people’s expectations up to that. It’s a very time consuming stitch (and beautiful) when you aren’t established, I was 2 rows in after an hour and haven’t crochet since bc I felt like such a failure and you definitely haven’t help in that department.
