I have iissue with The Mandalorian crack from Ahsoka cause she seems to think Sabine as a Mando Jedi just could not work and she knows this is not true seeing Maul and Dark Mandos
The writing is awful. They go out of their way to deviate from the plot constantly, the progression makes noe sense, what's driving the characters is very weak and wiped away so easily and the villain is not even near correct. It felt like the whole time like Ahsoka was the wise big sister trying to fight a bigger sister while bringing the toddlers along, just for her to be just as confusing and her character being just as dull and inconsistent as the rest of them. None of the dialogue holds no weight in the end.
@@sundrelstriker7513 Why can't they just like the show? If you don't like it why are you even on a Ahsoka reaction? Star Wars fans (more like haters) are really their own worst enemies.
Man, you guys' reaction to that audio trick at 2:20 was _SO_ good. I loved how that subtle effect managed to really sell the experience of the disorientation of Sabine being blind.

I don't disagree with the statement as you worded it, but fans who will not accept any criticism of SW from others are also not being realistic. I was one of those who felt the first 2 or 3 episodes of Ahsoka were paced WAY too slow, especially the dialogue scenes. But by the midway point of the season, I thought things picked up, and by the end, it was very close to being the kind of show that I'd been hoping for all along. I'm still not happy with how certain characters were portrayed (mainly Sabine), but I really liked Baylan (and to a slightly lesser extent, Shin). Overall, I was pleased. Yet I feel like it could have been better. When compared to SW Rebels, it fell a little short for me. But I'm hoping we haven't seen the last of Ahsoka, and of Ezra.
To answer the final question: I'm not bothered one iota by the varying episode times. In the streaming age, I believe one should take whatever time one needs to tell the story.
4:43 Just a quick, friendly clarification - Mon Mothma appeared in six episodes of “Star Wars: Rebels”; spending plenty of time with the Ghost crew. The bulk of those episodes being in the final season wherein Thrawn was the primary antagonist. So she definitely knows who he is. Mon was also voiced by Genevieve O’Reilly as well.
Re: the question of whether or not Thrawn was behind the First Order... Remember the title of the last book of the original Thrawn trilogy? "The Last Command", it would be poetic for that them to use that title for the eventua l movie, and for it to lead to the birth of the First Order.
whenever someone complains about a minor point like helmets being put on or taken off I just channel Harrison ford and go "It ain't that kind of movie kid."
The different runtimes are fine with me; I think of that as just part of the narrative ebb and flow. Of course it's cool whenever there's a longer episode, but then those ones stand out more when some are shorter.
I’m a long time Star Wars fan and I love this show. I’m just appreciative that we are getting all this Star Wars content as adults. Never thought it would happen growing up. So this is all pretty cool I think!
I remember how many ppl were shocked when this aired by the subtle tie in with Resistance thanks to Kaz Xiono's father making an appearance beside Mon Mothma.
Just to say so nice to see you guys in the old space...we missed seeing Grogu behind you! And it's much warmer and homier than the new sterile space...keep up the great work! Love you guys!
The only "easter egg" in this episode I can think of is that the Jedi who found Ahsoka, Plo Koon, also did a bit of lightsabering during a space walk in The Clone Wars series.
I've suspected he also does that for the benefit of the editor, so that he or she can start the onscreen video overlay at exactly the same time as the video that they're watching in the room.
The Ezra theories. I don't want to spoil anything, but think about that for a minute. How would that make sense? If he's there, they'd know where Thrawn was.
The funny thing is that they are in the space, so the battle ship can stop and float in front of Ahsoka's ship and shot it until destroy it...but, well, it's Star Wars.
For the shows I get argument of "I would prefer for the length of the eps to be consistent". But I honestly always prefer at the end of the day for these shows to be free of any boundaries. Let them be what they need to be according to creators. If they feel that certain eps need to be longer - those boundaries will limit them. If they feel certain eps should be shorter - those boundaries would give us only more filler episodes. If they are free of those boundaries - yeah, it sucks to watch them week by week sometimes. But watching them in one runtime - they feel like a consistent story much more thanks to it. I like that Disney gives that freedom here, cause it is freedom. Minor inconviniences are nothing to me, when we get much better told story in the end.
Guys, honest question, and I hope you'll take it in the spirit in which I'm asking it: could it be that you were not feeling the slow pacing of the dialogue scenes nearly as much, because you were having a conversation while reacting to the show? Yes, I know that's the point of your channel, so I'm not decrying that -- but I feel like maybe if you were watching the show for the first time alone, in silence, perhaps you would not be so quick to dismiss the reactions of others (like myself) who felt that the pacing of the show (especially the dialogue scenes) was very slow. Yes, there's validity in "letting a scene breathe" but there are also times when it's too much, and a far tighter edit would make the scene stronger. For me, those first couple of episodes were definitely the latter. Thankfully, I thought things picked up a lot at the midway point, and overall I was enjoying the show by the end.
Different tastes. I really loved the slow pace of this show, especially after a lot of the Disney Star Wars stuff felt so rushed. I liked Andor for the same reason.
Some of these SW shoes are a fun watch when you don’t have a b*tch nitpicking and complaining about every single thing, especially during the weekly drop. This is one of the few channels where its fun to watch SW + they just don’t blindly love everything SW either, so their sometimes valid criticisms can be taken more seriously
I think the inconsistency in runtimes for streaming shows is a byproduct of the death of the inconsequential subplot. I really enjoyed the Arrow-verse, but think of all the episodes that had a side character(s) doing something that took up 15 of the 42 minutes of show, resolved by the end, and made no difference to anything. If someone went back and edited all those shows with more 30-ish minute episodes, I'd rewatch the whole Arrow-verse all over again.
I like that the episodes despite the length tell one story, point to point with a bit that teases the next. I think they cut out some unnecessary filler that tends to get annoying over the whole season. Also I think the Mandolorian, Boba Fett and Ahsoka are building a more detailed world.
Its so funny to me that so many people thought marrok was ezra😂. It dosent make any sense at all. If ezra returned then thrawn would return to. How would ezra come back all of a sudden when he literally had nothing. Its just normal logic.
Regarding the reviews of the show, I would like to say that I think AHSOKA is the most successful Star Wars show to date, better and more exciting than any of the others before. Excellent special effects, great swordplay and no filler episodes make AHSOKA a highlight for me. Boba Fett and Mando let me down and I'm glad Dave Filoni has taken over the show. I would like to see a film from him.
The Mandalorian who forged it was a Jedi. While using (like, really using it, the way it was intended to be used) the saber isn’t necessarily inherently tied to the force, one would almost have to have some affinity for the force to use it properly, the way Bo Katan and Sabine do. Look at Din Djarin’s clumsy wielding of it, or even Paz Vizsla, who was descended from the saber’s creator. They struggled to even lift the thing, much less use it properly. I think the correct answer is really that the force actually does reside in all living things. Some are just more open to it than others. Then again, I’m of the camp that believes in a “large tent” approach to the force. The Jedi aren’t the gatekeepers to the force, any more than the Roman Catholic Church is the gatekeeper to Abraham’s God, if you believe in that kind of thing. As far as I’ve always been concerned, great pilots like Han Solo and Hera Syndulla and Poe Damron have always had a stronger affinity for the force than the average pilot, and that enables incredible feats of reflexes that most pilots could never pull off. A master of statecraft or military strategy could also be considered to have a stronger affinity for the force than would be usual, as well. Padme Amidala or Leia Organa (even before we knew she was actually truly a powerfully attuned force adept herself, like when we were watching the original trilogy) or even Thrawn himself. They may not actively be aware that they’re channeling the force, they might even reject the idea out of hand (like Han does, more than once) if confronted with it, but I definitely believe that’s what’s happening. Anyway, tldr: Yeah, technically you CAN use the dark saber without force affinity, but probably not at a very high level. Sidebar: guess what that probably means about Bo Katan Kryze?
