Thrawn's intro scene is stone cold amazing.........gives his character the weight and doom he deserves
His intro line... fire.
"What was first just a dream has become a frightening reality for those who may oppose us."
3:21 even hyperspace takes time. In A New Hope, Luke and Obi-Wan have time to train with a lightsaber while they're in hyperspace from Tatooine to Alderaan.
And that was at the very end of the trip to just before they reached Alderaan, so it most likely took at least a few hours, if not a day or more given Tatooine is an Outer Rim planet while Alderaan is much closer to the middle, IIRC.
Baylan Skoll is the most intriguing Star Wars character that has come along in years. Beautifully played by Ray Stevenson. RIP
Yup, its a shame. I hope his story gets continuted in a recast, so we could at least imagine, what Ray's journey would have been like in the future
@kptmaci4979 maybe even a prequel for his character with a younger actor to show how he became who he was
Regarding Agustín's comment about the Purrgil (~1:19): "the Purrgil migrate to worlds rich in a rare gas called Clouzon-36, which they consume."
They need a similar structure in their mouths to filter the gas, maybe? This can be seen in Rebels episode "The Call" S2 E15
Was thinking the same thing. There's lots of stuff in space, dirt, gas, dust, rocks, etc. Who knows, maybe they even filter dark matter.
@@DinerLingo If you got Space whales, have to have space plankton.
The purrgils in Rebels had teeth
Who is Enoch? He's That guy. He doesn't shit where he eats. ... REMEMBER THE CANT!!!!!!!!
Have they watched that yet? I hope they do.
FYI, guys. Ben Solo was born in the year 5 ABY on Chandrilla, which is also the home planet for Mon Mothma.
Ben would have been about 2-3 years old when “The Mandalorian” season one began. Ben Solo died in 35 ABY on Exegol.
"Provisions" means food, and other supplies for surviving.
The Chimera appearing above the fortress was *chills*
2:39 Jesus Christ. We're still on this? Not every non-Jedi force user is Sith. C'mon now.
They don’t anything
Baylan Skoll is not a sith. He is a former jedi, and uses the dark side of the force, but does not adopt the sith philosophy. He's more of a fallen jedi or dark jedi. It's also why he did not change his name to Darth Something-or-another.
Hearing them actually say "A long time ago, in a galaxy far, far away" was crazy to me! :D
a Thrawn and Ezra reveal in the same episode? Dave just wanted to give us a heartattack lol
Well, technically, hyperspace jumps are not instantaneous in most if not all cases
Yeah. Luke had time for a whole training session between Tatooine and Alderaan.
Yeah, based on novels that I recall, obviously depending on how far the planets are from each other, hyperspace trips just within their own galaxy can take hours to even days.
Very cool, Augstin connecting Kylo helmet with the Zombie Trooper uniform
I know not everybody reads the novels (but to be fair, it IS present in Rebels), but it kills me how so many people think the "graffiti", as you put it, is a new thing on the underside of the Star Destroyer. That has been there ever since Thrawn took command of the vessel during his time in the Empire. It's a sketch of the creature that the ship is named after: a Chimaera.
Incorrect, and worse you assert your falsity. It is the dual serpent symbol of a house of Paccosh, specifically of Uingali Maocssa; an alien Thrawn met in the Ascendancy while fighting the Grysk. Read the Ascendancy trilogy before making things up.
@@shindalah1794 .............. I did read that trilogy and loved it. Nothing I said is incorrect. You literally just repeated my statement, albeit with more context. So cudos to you.
So many threads being woven together to bring so much more depth from all of the stories! Love watching you see it all coming together.
20:28 the Star Wars/Master of Disguise we'll all been waiting for!
They’re not Sith nor are they Jedi, they use orange sabers not red ones. Also Shin is wearing a Jedi padawan hair braid.
Was pleasantly surprised to see Hector on Um Actually (Dropout) recently! You were a blast, dude.
Honestly I've said elsewhere but I'll say it again, this is the most Star Trek that Star Wars has felt in term of styles and I am here for it
I was going to comment the same thing. Rosario Dawson is also a huge Star Trek fan too so it all works.
Season 2 is in the works for this show!!!
So editing software doesnt work for Ahsoka but works for trailers, films and now X-Men... weird that....
Baylan is like Dukoo, he isn’t Sith, he never embraced the dark side of the force, he uses the force but from the perspective of he’s working for the greater good. He doesn’t view his choices as evil, he views them as the choices of a realist, the order is gone, the Jedi are gone and any of them left won’t see him as one of them.
Love your reactions. I notice you keep referring to Baylan and Shin as "sith". I think it's it important to note that they are not sith. They may not be Jedi, but they most certainly are not sith either.
Yes hyperspace travel is very fast. It’s said that the falcon with its drive can travel across the galaxy in under a week without stopping so long as they have access to the navigation charts. Some other ships have to exit hyperspace recalculate then jump again
Yes! I'm excited to see what you guys think about this episode! ❤
Thanks to Adam, Hector and Agustin! 🐋
I appreciate all the work you guys do to make this for us. I get excited whenever you upload. You guys rock.
i went crazy when i saw thrawn
The Purgil would use it to filter the tibana gas that they need to travel through hyperspace
Hector, PLEASE watch Rebels lol
Provisions means Food Fellas
Baylan and Shin are Dark Jedi
Thrawn is a fan of art and his ship, The Chimera has art of a Chimera on the bottom.
Any update on the last episode of Echo?
Once upon a time there was a girl named Sabine Wren, a knight belonging to two orders, and she was accompanied by 7 nina turtlle-hermit crabs and her wolf-horse as she searched for her long lost brother-in-arms Ezra Bridger.
Enoch is played by Wes Chatham who was Amos on The Expanse and the main With is Claudia Black From Farscape and Stargate SG1
The gom jabbor is the poisoned needle tnot the hand torture box.
Thor sized door - Ray was in 3 Thor movies as the tall & girthy Volstagg the Voracious.
Claudia Black (Starscape and Pitch Black) is the Mother Superior of the triad Dathomir witches named for the goddesses of fate in Greek mythology.
Watching Adam take in all this beauty is such a joy.
That was Ezra's theme playing when Ezra and Sabine hugged. It's really a shame Hector didn't get to watch Rebels first but that show is better on the second watch anyway.
Are you ever going to drop the Finale of “Echo”? Been a month since Ep 4 dropped
Ezra low-key is a CzechXican
I had a big smile on my face when I saw Ezra again. Also, anybody else thinks that he looks like Moses from the Prince of Egypt? Or is that just me?
26:35- And, to your point Adam… I have always loved the Post-Return of the Jedi era of Star Wars. Where, the Emperor/the Sith is gone, Luke Skywalker is slowly building a New Jedi Order and the New Republic is fighting back the multiple Imperial Remnant factions (each with their own plans) across the galaxy. They are unconventional times where new heroes are rising up to help.
(I also finished both Jedi Outcast and Jedi Academy for the first time on PS4 recently, so that reaffirms my love for those Star Wars stories.)
I think one of the best things about Ashoka was the handling of Ezra as the McGuffin, especially for new viewers. They were able to reveal just enough about him, so that they were able to bring that simile to everybody's face. The next episode was important as well in proving why he was the Mcguffin.
Are you even a Jedi without a Moses phase?
2:32 Baylan Skoll is altering the deal! Pray he doesn't alter it any further😂
Are you guys ever going to finish Echo?
Wolf related names and wolf horses - it has to be Filoni.
Not Augustin remembering in the middle of his own question exactly why Thrawn knows Sabine. 😂 (Honestly, it's been so long since I watched Rebels I had a lot of slowly resurfacing memories while watching Ashoka myself.)
actually purrgil filterfeed gases also... sabine thought ahsoka was dead, she would've been killed by skull if she ran , And especially if she destroyed the key
Those tall pillars you see when Sabine and company first land are similar to those seen in Rebels S2E21, “Twilight of the Apprentice”, which was a few years before the recent “Dune” films.
Why are so many people suggesting that Star Wars has copied from Dune, when that is hardly the case?
Both franchises borrowed heavily from Isaac Asimov’s “Foundation” trilogy, most especially Star Wars.
Dune tried to be the polar opposite of Foundation, while Star Wars tried to be Foundation on steroids.
Did you know that robots have a role to play in Foundation, while Dune is intentionally devoid of robots and computers?
Foundation. Did you know that their ships use hyperdrives to fly through hyperspace across the galaxy? They also carry sidearms called blasters that fire bolts of energy.
There is even a dry, arid planet in the Outer Rim of the galaxy where the overthrow of the Galactic Empire begins.
Oh, yeah. The galactic capital is located on a city-planet near the galactic core. There are people with strange mental powers and physical abilities, too.
Thrawn may not use the Force-but he aligned himself with the Dathomiri, who are arguably more powerful than Sith in regard to the Dark Side.
Even Palpatine wouldn’t challenge Clan Mother Gethzerion directly; he instead set up a military blockade to keep her from leaving Dathomir.
If you got episode 7 waiting to watch right after, we should be seeing the reaction in a day or so, right? Right???? 🥺 Please? (I'm kidding (sort of), I know you have lives and other things to do, I just love watching these reactions!)
The hyperspace jumps actually aren't instantaneous. The scene where Luke is training with Obi-Wan on the Falcon is happening while they're in hyperspace. I believe normal jumps can last from minutes to several hours depending on the route and distance. It just so happens that this hyperspace ring is so powerful that it can make such a long jump in the same amount of time it would take any other ship to make a normal one.
One does not simply walk through a Thor door.
While actors don't always play their actual age (Oh, I can do younger,- wigs and make up and such.*) ray Stevenson was 58.
*quote or, at least, paraphrase from Keeping Up Appearances.
I'm excited for when they react to What If season 2!
"Ezra, to be honest, I don't know if you're going home, but I'm definitely home"
@HeroesReforged You guys missed the statues of the Father, Daughter, and Son.
Hector STILL just does not understand that Baylan Skoll is not a Sith.
Too bad you guys aren't doing a Bad Batch reaction on UT and I hope you're still watching it.
Former Jedi, not a Sith (all reactions are already recorded but just saying).
Would have loved to see your faces when you found out that shuttle is the original design for the ships in Dune and that Feloni put it in on purpose.
i almost forgot yall were covering this 🤦🏿♂️ yall need to post the rest earlier
I think Adam has mentioned on their podcast that their editing software they use has been bugging out and aren’t able to put out content quick because of it
@@adrian09v If only people watched everything we uploaded instead of just complaining.
Nah they'll post whenever they want. You're just impatient.
Nah they want us to pay for a patreon membership to watch stuff 🤦🏻♂️
@@WhyNotCollect That’s not true. Sure, they have Patreon exclusive reactions but Ahsoka isn’t one of them. Their software hasn’t been good so it’s taking a little longer to upload. If you watched their podcast, you’d know this.
David Tennant voiced Hoo Yang
Hope to get the next reaction soon! I’ve been following these 😁
2:55 not a sith
If I have to hear “shout out to the keiner’s one more time bruh” 😂
Great reaction as always!, my best regards.
Thank you guys for posting this!!
Abeloth!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Fun fact: Lars Mikkelsen (Thrawn) was actually in a fan made Star Wars short film called "Shrouded Destiny: A Star Wars Long Tale" before he landed his role as Thrawn.
Is Ezra Fremen..???
DO THE BAD BATCH
Let’s gooooo!
Could not wait to see your reaction to Thrawn. Not disappointed. Chef’s kiss.
ZzzzzzZzz to late guys
The music in question when Sabine and Ezra hugged out is Ezra’s theme, first heard in Star Wars rebels
I hope when Sabine builds a new lightsaber that she makes it pink she would be one to do that knowing her flair for colors and I would just love to see a live action pink saber
Thrawn moves his pawns around while also playing the long game. Like Papa Palps.
Good thing Sabine stumbled across the Erocks
It has literally been six months since this episode aired. Time flies.
Yes!!! Boys are back again with our girl 😊
Papa Palps 😂
Bora para o próximo 👏👏👏
Are we getting the rest of Echo?
Enjoy you guys❤ Just a suggestion, please. Love the short comments during the review about what you're watching, related theory and knowledge. Leave the longer comment/conversation (Hector) for after. That way we can enjoy all your firsthand reactions in real-time. Thanks, and keep sharing with us.
Spoiler,
I really think just as Anakin is guiding Ahsoka, Abeloth is guiding Baylan. This is why the Nightsisters could not see Sabine because its Anakin's influence. In other words Abeloth and Anakin could be playing 4D chess. Spoiler due to the Mortis connection…
I think we're going to learn that the Nightsisters will lose their power when Baylan releases Abeloth to end the cycle. Think about it, as far as we know, there was no consequences to the death of the Ones and no one doing what the Father did until, assuming, Anakin is now the father. That's a 30 year gap that's never happened since The Father showed up a long time ago.
Vader, The Emperor or the Empire is not the greater consequence to Anakin not fulfilling his destiny at that time. It's just the repeating cycle, empires have come and gone just like the Jedi, Baylan wants to end it and Abeloth is the new beginning. I think this is why The Nightsisters want off Peridia.
Abeloth will come, we'll learn the Nightsister power is to Abeloth as the Son and the Daughter is to the Dark side and the light side of the force, except she will take her power back.
Something tells me the scene where Rey fights the Emperor in The Rise of Skywalker when we hear both Ahsoka, Anakin and the other Jedi help Rey is going to be tied to essentially, Anakin's influence verses Abeloth's.
my biggest criticism of the show was that Ezra's reunions weren't emotional enough given the circumstances
I'm not sure what I expected, but the whole "another galaxy" was a bit anti-climactic. This could just be a new planet in the original galaxy.
And yet, still, i hate Sabine in this show. I hope she eventually redeems herself, but god, she has made bad decisions thru out this season
I really didn't like anything that happens after the Sabine Ezra hug. The whole "let's not talk about that now" started the slide.
The music, character designs, settings, and effects of this show are consistently great, and it has a lot of amazing "Star Wars Moments" sprinkled throughout (about a half dozen in the previous ep alone). But, it has about 3 1/2 episodes worth of plot and story decompressed across 8 episodes and the character writing, outside of a couple like Baylan, generally isn't that great IMO.
These D+ shows need Writers' Rooms, more than they need fan-favorite show runners.
This has been out for a long time and you’re barely getting it out?!?! Talk about wack
Because they respected the strikes that were going on at the time.
They also have software issues so they doing the best they can. Adam has talked about it in the pod before
