    The Sam Witwer thing is so funny to me because he does so many voices he gets credit in almost every Star Wars project. Dave Filoni for example does Chopper in Ashoka. So he gets some voice credit as well. I think people just cant take a mystery and in the absence of us know the whole story we are going to put anything in there as fans. They may make a nod to Starkiller or they may just make a passing reference to keep people talking and keep interest going but Star Wars fans like to hype themselves up to disappointment so we shall see. However Filoni said in interviews and specially ones he did with Faveau that creating situations where fans can discuss theories is part of the creative process. So they plan for us to make some of these wild guesses.

    • @smolsfamilyreactions
      @smolsfamilyreactions  Рік тому +1

      Well I did mention that Sam Witwer is almost always in the credits of Star Wars productions and that this is all big speculation. There is a difference between speculation and expectation. While I would be pretty thrilled to see live action Starkiller, I won't be disappointed if he's not in it.

      @@smolsfamilyreactions I am kind of amazed at the level of his voice work though. I thought for example that the assassin droids were just computer generated voices but Witwer has done some of them and they just change his voice in post. So some of these characters we think are just beeps and whistles may be a voice actor that has been changed. I would think he would get credit for a main character if that is his voice. Maybe they are hiding it but I think they have to credit his voice at least.

    Loved this episode, awesome to see Grandma Smols back as well! If I recall though, isn’t the Season 4 finale of Rebels one year before the battle of Yavin? In the epilogue, Sabine says the empire was too distracted by the events of ANH to deal with Lothal.

    • @smolsfamilyreactions

      Yes final season of rebels was the same year a new hope occured. Also Jacen has to be maybe 8-9yrs old, which would correlate with season 4 leading into a new hope

    One of the advantages I've always felt that Streaming has compared to broadcast TV is that episode length isn't artificially constrained. For broadcast TV, it usually has to slot into a 30 minute or hour slot (with deductions for adverts), but with streaming episodes can be whatever length they need to be. That means no need to "pad" the episode if it's too short, or rush if it's too long. Now that doesn't mean that they always get it right, but having that flexibility can only add to what can be achieved.

    Best episode so far on Ahsoka . This is my theory that Ahsoka will be transform in white at the middle or end of episode 5 that really connects the epilogue of Rebels meaning go back in time. Next episode is directed by Dave Filoni and I won’t be surprise if my theory happens.

    It wouldn't matter if they were traveling while Ahsoka was on the outside of the ship in the vacuum of space, because there would be no atmosphere to cause any kind of aerodynamic drag that would sweep her off the surface of the ship.
    You can't stand on a moving airplane because of the drag that's caused by the air in our atmosphere, but there is no air in space, and therefore, no drag.
    I walk on ships in space all the time, so I'm speaking from experience...
    is what I would say if I walked in ships in space all the time.

    LOL, maybe I watch too much Star Trek because even though that device did look like a hyperspace ring, a part of me did also wonder if it was a teleportation device. For a second, I did wonder if Ahsoka's ship was going to automatically teleport to the other galaxy once it floated through the ring. I also think Ezra and Thrawn had to team up to fight a common enemy. Thrawn in the new canon novels and even Star Wars Rebels did not actually seem pure traditional evil, so to speak. He was tasked with a job to do & wanted to please Palpatine, but never seemed to just be pure evil at heart & always had his own motives. It feels like such a long time now since I read the new canon Thrawn novels, but I vaguely remember he initially made a deal with Palpatine in order to help his own people. He even said in the novel there are much worse threats than The Empire.
    I would've thought Ahsoka would be able to force-fly her way through space back to the ship. I find it funny how the helmet for her space suit fitted perfectly over her head-tails or lekkus. I'm glad the show did not do what I think many other shows would've done, which is after just 1 minute of Ahsoka herself training Sabine, Sabine already became an expert fighter or she was able to force-grab that cup right away. I'm glad they're taking their time to show Sabine still learning, Though, it may have been a nice touch to at least see the cup shake a little or spill. I don't think it's a matter of Sabine not having any force-sensitivity, but once she learns how to recognize it for the very first time, even just a little bit, then she'll never forget and even just that little bit will be more than enough for her. But, I'd love to get a flashback of Ahsoka training her the first time years ago and when and why Ahsoka decided to train her. I think for now, Sabine's mind is just too clouded thinking too much about Ezra..

    Excellent episode an reactions.
    I think Ezra and Thrawn's time together probably gave Thrawn a different perspective on the rebel cause. It is likely that Thrawn will once again lead the forces of the Empire but in the end he will be divided when he has the opportunity to completely annihilate the rebels. My guess is that in the end he will join the rebels and lead them.

    • @smolsfamilyreactions
      @smolsfamilyreactions  Рік тому +1

      Bold prediction! I like it. I've never seen Thrawn as an evil character but rather a very smart, tactical, and loyal to the Emperor character. He believes he is serving the right cause. Doesn't make him right, but he is very objective minded and leaves the politics to others. That is slightly different than how he is in the Heir to the Empire trilogy books, but the latest novels that have come out show him in a different light. Either way, I like your theory. I'm not sure Thrawn(when we finally see him in this show)will be the same Thrawn everyone is expecting.

    That Asian Senator that refused to believe Hera about Thrawn’s return is Himoto Xiono, father of Kazuda Xiono from Star Wars: Resistance.
    You really now see why Kaz chooses to be with the Resistance rather than live on Hosnian Prime with his family.

    1:13 very well said! I've always believed that, even with a so-so movie or series here and there, the worst thing about Star Wars has always been Star Wars fans. Just enjoy the ride as much as you can, and if you're not able to do that... create your own SW then. 🤠
