I love the culmination of fifteen years of passion and learning and mistakes and dogged, loving pursuit of what you think is important, Shaye. It’s paid off in spades. You keep on doing you, you’re a blessing to the world ✨💕
Delicious! For my butter I used an herbed butter I made and froze last summer when the herb garden was in full swing! It was salted Irish butter with lemon thyme and lemon basil. Boy am I happy I saved that for the right occasion, because this pasta was the PERFECT occasion! 💖
First timer here! Enjoyed this so much. “Market farming” here in the PNW too. Question…I didn’t see you add wine to the sauce although you mentioned it. And was that pasta just made from semolina and water? Sweet! I always thought I had to add an egg. A beautiful labor of love to watch. Thank you!
Shaye, I made this dish last night with Einkorn store bought spaghetti - it was absolutely delicious and you're so right, so comforting and bright. Thank you so much for this recipe :)
Everytime I watch you I am so amazed by you! Your better then Betty Crocker and Martha Stewart put together. I think it’s awesome that your kids get to watch you cook this delicious food so when they get older they will cook like you. ❤️
Your beauty and grace have inspired me in many ways. We have a homestead in the N.GA mountains...sometimes we forget to sit back and enjoy the life we’ve built. I think I’ll have a glass of wine while I cook dinner tonight. Keep shining your light!
I make a dish a lot like this, but with anchovies or smoked sardines and capers. My friend in college lived in Italy and she shared her recipe and it is a family favorite. Love the lemon only idea, perhaps preserved lemons would be good too? Thank for sharing this recipe!
I absolutely love this video. The Lemon spaghetti sounds amazing. I do miss seeing your yard, gardens and home renovations. Always wonderful seeing you and learning from you. Have an amazing day.
the pasta machine you used reminds me of an old fashion meat grinder my mom had, i have it now, maybe i could use it for pasta, what do you think? great recipe thanks🥰
This looks absolutely delicious! I just finished eating my oatmeal with chia seeds, blueberries and cocoa nibs and now this makes me want to make a pasta from scratch! Which I have never done, but you make it look so easy!Thank you Shaye, for sharing this video.
So yummy and affordable. I adore your effortless moves making homemade pasta! I make this recipe, but (boxed pasta) with a twist----brown artichoke hearts with shallots in olive oil, then deglaze the pan with white wine, and make your lemon sauce from there. Sometimes add shrimp to gently poach in the sauce before serving. Life is good!! You inspire me and I always have good takeaway from your videos. Just had to say this to you. Thank you for sharing YOU!!!
I made this and it was great. I used some fresh lemon zest and some preserved lemon rind. I made fettuccini noodles since I don't have a spaghetti noodle attachment. I also added fresh arugula and spinach and tossed it all together. An excellent early summer meal.
I made this and it was fantastic; substituted regular pasta with hearts of palm pasta from Trader Joe’s (first time trying and couldn’t taste any difference) and added chicken (it’s been a minute since watching, so don’t recall if yours called for it) it was so good!
Thank you for sharing your recipe. This is the first video of yours that I’ve ever watched and I really enjoyed it. I will definitely be giving this recipe a try. The only addition I think I’ll make is to add some capers.
I honestly don't know how many different types of cheese we have in Greece. From the world famous greek feta, to mezithra and kalathaki of Lemnos... All so tasty! My "spirit cheese" is probably Metsovone, from Metsovo in Epiros.
Great recipe! Similar to a piccata sauce I make but without the capers. I don't know why I never thought to make it simply over pasta without the fish or chicken. Thanks for the great idea and beautiful video!
How do you make making a meal of spaghetti seem so romantic? Broccoli would go wonderfully with that, and maybe some mushrooms in butter. With garlic bread. Now I'm getting hungry.
This looks delicious. You make homemade pasta look super easy, but I'm not ready to try yet. And I have a similar pot, never thought of using it for spaghetti - duh! Totally agree with you on Parmesan: Pecorino does not compare. Give me Parmesan any time!
