To be clear, cardio does help with circulation through the body and help the heart get stronger. Yes? You want to get the heart rate up to circulate the blood so the heart gets stronger. The heart is a muscle! The heart need strength training too! You do that by getting the heart rate up (not insanely) for about 20 to 30 minutes. Cardio is important in this regard.
Absolutely! Heart, lungs, circulatory system very much need cardio. But too much, like she's describing, works against us. A relatively new development in our understanding of our physical well being. Only in the past 6 years.
Really great content. In the winter I have a pot of tea, a mix of cloves (4-5), cinnamon and ginger. The smell is amazing...and it tastes pretty good too.
First thing people with age lose is muscle, and muscle is what affects endurance first. It’s not like they need endurance to climb a mountain they just need mobility from their muscle mass.
I had my 70+ year old Mom and Aunt working with a trainer at the gym before covid. They went 3x/week. They got healthy, balance got better and my mom fell in love with deadlifts and strength training. I have to get them back to the gym.
Endurance is also built up with high intensity interval training not cardio. It’s short bursts of intense fatigue that increase your Vo2 (aka endurance) cardio is honestly useless
So why do professional athletes and fighters do cardio then? As a former amateur fighter (I'm 35 so I'm old in regards to that world now), the first thing we did was cardio and warm-ups. Saying cardio is 'useless' is a rather dubious statement. I honestly hate doing cardio, but the benefits outweigh the cons. Moving more = Cardiovascular exercise. Try low carb and definitely cut out all sugar - from fruit juice, diet drinks etc, avoid dried fruit. Limit fruit to 2 pieces per day (that’s for during weight loss and when not dieting.) cut out all inflammatory foods such as seed oils, hydrogenated oils. Only have cold pressed organic if you can extra virgin olive oil, organic virgin cold pressed coconut oil or lard, butter. Try these things plus you need to regulate your insulin response and if you’re a perimenopausal woman or post menopausal you’re hormones are in Decline effecting every body system so look into bio identical hormone replacement. Lift weights and enjoy sunshine (safely) and nature daily. All the best

It is SO obvious! “Nature” couldn’t have come up with all of these amazing processes.😂 Just look at the eye! God needs the credit for this and both of you will meet your maker some day.🙏 Give some time to think about this. He loves you both dearly and created you for this time and space. Praying that you will come to know Jesus who was there when the world was created. He died for you and made a way for you to come to the Father through Him! Blessings and prayers for you both & thanks for all of the good you do for others!🙏❤️
Yeah I agree with everything she said expect that cardio is just a mental health thing. You need both cardio and weight lifting. Combine a steady state cardio with this regime it will help even more
I disagree on not losing any fat on the semiglutide, you do lose some. You also do lose muscle. So you have to not look at it as a silver bullet. If you do it, you need to see it as a short term solution and we should use the time to straighten out our workout routine. But if you think it will just magically get the fat off only, you are going to be disappointed. I would also like to add to what she's saying in this video is, that I agree 100% you have to keep building muscle and use resistance training. However, you have to be careful and build up gradually and not overdue it. If you injure yourself, especially with muscles and tendons it can take a while to heal, then you end up sidelined and less mobile, and the weight sneaks back on. So don't go out cold and try to do too much too soon. Be kind with yourself and listen to your body.

Well, it is known that skin can suck in some elements, so if you put something on it there is a chance that it will end up inside the body. Other question is the quantity and effect of it, I hope there were some studies and she refers to them
What goes on the skin is absorbed by the body. It doesn't miraculously evaporate. There have been plenty of studies about the harms of particularly anti-perspirant.

I've learnt that if our excretions are on the nose, it's most likely time to detox our system because body stench is our body screaming to us that something isn't balanced.
Fasting, plus lemon water, Sauerkraut along with other vitamins and minerals.
Smaller portioned meals for when when we're doing less.
Thank god I only shave wen I have to show my bits😂. My partner had to get used that a long time ago.. winter is a very furry warm season 😂😂
😂
Yuck! No thank you.
Pit hair gets thinner as you age post menopausal and don’t have to shave any more.
Ok Stephen fantastic output could you please put the name of the guest on the screen when you do small extracts so it's easier to find the full podcast
Your cortisol levels only go up with the cardio if you’re not having fun. If you’re pushing yourself too hard they go up. If you’re having fun like dancing or taking a nice beautiful leisurely bike ride, it actually lowers your stress hormones.
I would be really interested in people talking about getting our health exercise back when we are struggling with long term health conditions ie long covid syndrome fybromyalgia chronic fatigue diverticulitis under active thyroid etc we would love to move more get rid of excess weight I have gained alot of weight going through menopause and having to medically retire from nursing due to long term health Conditions as above when your is so much pain and chronic fatigue how do we manage this please xx
Focus on your diet. Trust me. If nothing else, give up sugar, flours and vegetable oils.
Learning to cook/ eat differently.
It’s really difficult when you’re fatigued but every meal is an opportunity to invest in your health.
You can do it.
Thank you x
i agree about focus on your diet! you might want to check out the Medical Medium books/community re:people healing all of the health conditions you mentioned with diet, good luck x
You must 1st start w diet . Diet is key TO ALL AUTOIMMUNE DISORDERS!! Eat clean organic whole foods. No processed or sugars. Lots of H20 . Also detox your body. Parasites and metals . Diatomaceous earth and bentonite clay work and sre inexpensive. Also on long covid. Believe it or not using a nicotine patch daily can rid u of its symptoms so as they are gone quit using patch. Use low dose patched its all u need. Start here hope this helps
I also follow Dr.Mindy so this was fantastic
Today at the gym a regular who I see is 72 yrs old with his feet hooked onto the squat rack doing push ups
This is why I never believed in lazering hair off everything has a function in and in our body
Thanks ❤️
Love this channel ❤
Amazing
was such informative video!
I learn SO much from both of you and so appreciate this conversation! The only thing I would say you both are missing is THE MOST IMPORTANT THING! Our bodies were created by intelligent design.
God is nature lol
Sauna to sweat and detox helps.
But doesnt weight lifting and eating both require each other ?
The importance of cardio for your heart and arteries is hard to understate. Unfortunate this was not addressed here.
I'm a rough carpenter. Had to have a surgery that put me on my ass for 3 months. Went back to work full time and messed my ankle, knee, and back up. I had lost so much muscle in that time. Im still recovering a year later
Why do I read so many sources online talking about how the notion of 'toxins' is pseudoscience? Everyone throws the word 'toxins' around. But what exactly are 'toxins'? No one seems to be able to define them.
Heavy metals, toxicicity from plastic containers and non stick frying pans. Sugar, alcohol. Toxic Chemichals we breath in such as exhaust. Lots and lots of toxins
Who else checked there armpits while watching this video 👍
😂 sooo me
please invite PROF. JAMES SMALL. thank you
Ozempic is a Semiglutide
How does cardio cause cortisol to go up?
Stress response
Got the sub ;)
Don’t you grow hair there to prevent heat loss?
That's why I don't use deodorant and I have a pit not a puff.
I love him… when she implies women shouldn’t shave lol
Your body will still die, sure some good advice but also live don't live in fear
It’s not about living in fear. It’s about having a better quality of life and most like living longer too.
Why we have hairs on the head ?
Bloated belly here! I’ve just figured this out myself! Too bad it’s so expensive and health care won’t cover it. 😢 but I’m greatful I’ve found out. Who wants to shovel out $700 for a parasite cleanse. Ouch!! Here I go!!
Try a 48 hr fast....the first thing you eat is couple tablespoons of extra virgin olive oil, then eat a grape fruit. Supposedly knocks out liver flukes. Google natural parasite foods... black walnut, oregano oil...there are options. Try to find ivermectin also😊
I heard ozempic is developing thyroid cancer in people
Have mercy! I met/sat next to someone a few months ago and he has diabetes. He shared that he’s on Ozempic and has left over pens because he uses .25 or something which stretches the pen doses. I cringed and asked him to consider trying healthier options but he shrugged me off a bit. And he wasn’t a fairly large person, at all. Something doable.
Although strangers, I was concerned. He also shared that he trades the leftover pens for hair cuts with his barber😮. So sad. ☹️
Isn’t cardio good for your heart and blood pressure😊
My question too. I want to be able to run for the bus without being out of breath:
Thank god I can’t offer hair laser sessions and saw this clip😆
God created our body to heal but man is causing our body to fail.
💜
Women!!! Breast tissue carries into the underarm area, as does the fat surrounding the breast ducts. Don’t beat yourself up over normal, perfectly good anatomy 🤦🏻♀️
You should still have a pit...
I know it’s amazing how God made us
NOT EVOLUTION
Everything was OK until she said cardio is only good for mental health...
Right! Just walking is great for the heart.
What she means by cardio is the 45 minute non stop gym sweating or running for that length of time which is well kbown to increase cortisol, cardio is said to be only responsible for 15 % of metabolic weight loss, cardo is best for brain heslth
and heart disease is the number one killer.@@TreasureChest0806
12 minutes well spent
3:25 🙄 If we evolved from apes, why are there still apes? Asking for a friend. 🤗
Apparently aliens took their DNA🧬 and mixed it with theirs. 👽
@@Christina.N.I think they were watching also Porn... 😂
Baking soda under the arm pit is the old school deodorant...they all have it anyway
You look like Will Smith
The fresh prince of Plymouth!!!
Yes😅
Oh good I’m a pit and not a puff😅
She is a chiropractor. Take her advice with a table spoon of salt or maybe a whole plate.
Oh so she advises not shaving pits but she shaves her pits.
Puhlease.
She’s human
She has a loofah😂
This woman calls herself a Dr, she is NOT a qualified doctor in any regard (going by her own website). Just another self proclaimed health guru. I get why she would want to sell her stuff to rubes, i dont get why this channel is giving her a platform.
She has helped me a lot while fasting like a girl I now breed every month at exactly after 26days and all these yrs the so called doctors of the hospitals I've visited were not able to help me😊
If you're breeding every month, somethings gone dreadfully wrong. 😀@@marywanjiku8338
@@marywanjiku8338 Wtf does "like a girl I now breed every month at exactly after 26days " Mean?
Man honestly didn’t know that hair wicks away moisture? C’mon 🤦♂️
Such unbelievable pseudoscience and conflation of ideas in this video. Please remove this video. It dilutes everything
GOD created it.
Sin, besides being disobedience to Creator GOD, is essentially Systemic SELFISHNESS that leads to downfall.
Romans 1: 21b, 22, 28.
Boo Dr. Mindy! You didn’t mention eating a gram of protein per pound of ideal body weight, with your 3 keys to losing weight! Some health experts don’t believe aging persons should fast regularly due to the loss of protein consumption. 🤨
Darn it…I was picturing her as natural…alas …she shaves 😂
For the layman, “bowel movement” means “poo poo”. You’re welcome.
I use deodorant and my armpits are fine. To me, that point sounds like pseudo science.
Take chlorophyll daily and reduce deodorant dependency. You’re welcome
yeah i think some of what she says is abit too one dimensional
Well, it is known that skin can suck in some elements, so if you put something on it there is a chance that it will end up inside the body. Other question is the quantity and effect of it, I hope there were some studies and she refers to them
What goes on the skin is absorbed by the body. It doesn't miraculously evaporate. There have been plenty of studies about the harms of particularly anti-perspirant.
what negatives does it bring precisely? If I were to keep using daily vs stop entirely, how would my life change?@@devinelonmadgy
Fcccccc
Weight loss is not done by cardio, tell that rubbish to the Fell running community.....
01:50 bullshit, random rambling…
This podcast is becoming reslly weird. Can you only get medically qualified professionals rather than all this scaremongering all the time?
Lol you want persons to tell you what you want to hear lol
What a load of nonsense -.-
Mindy is a con artist
Bro dont know what a lofa is? 🧢
All this BS. Calories in vs Calories out for weight loss!
So she wanted to tell women not to shave the armpit cause the hair helps to get toxins out.
BUT she her self shaves lol what a joke
