Good gosh, the tilling doesn’t remove minerals from the soil!! It’s the mono-cropping (growing the same crop over & over) without regenerating the soil.
yeah you need crop rotation with ruminants grazing to restore the soil. But tilling damages the top soil then it blows away in the wind so it does have an effect.

Ya know, I don’t necessarily always want a “bigger guest.” I might want a smaller guest who’s at the forefront of something big, perhaps controversial. I remember reading about the microbiome decades ago when most people didn’t know what it was or thought it was nonsense. Those are the type of people I want to hear from.
me too. I like controversial stuff. theres always something interesting. Even like me with a theory Ive been working on for over a decade. about the ancients, because nothing adds up. even more so today with engineering advancements looking back at these ancient structures. and as a man of science, engineering skills, and worked in construction. I know when something is not adding up. but comes down to these structures are most likely 40K years old, they cant date stone. they date it by a cargo cult that found them and graffitied them. the local people in Egypt say they are a people going back 40k years. which is ignored. everything they built is based on the penta musical scale, a natural traversal pattern of notes, its found in the human voice too. ancient flutes have been found dating near 40k years old as well, also using penta scale. harmonic based technology was their main tech line. they didnt have language. would be more like throat singing. I can do this too. language is the part that drives thinking. so instead of slow words. they could communicate with throat singing and send data packets with vibrations from their vocals. you could communicate with others 100X the speed. and think in this manner. frequency can manipulate matter and make geometric patterns that also transverse. And that they were the Neanderthals. this hominoid actually had larger brains that we do, and different throat autonomy. They say they went extinct. 40k years ago. I have ASD and have always been able to throat sing with 3 notes at once. it came naturally. Found out people with ASD, have more Neanderthal DNA in them then those without ASD. And other things like how myths and ancient texts talk about the ancient peoples chanting to manipulate matter and what not, build things, "speak" things into existence. this isnt evidence, but a funny connection. We know 100% they were advanced. recent scans of saw marks found alloy deposits under electron microscope. and after 40,000 years. there will be nothing left. if we all dissapeared today. in 10k years there wil be nothing, except the pryamids. Im probably a nut case. But more and more evidence adds up for this. Would explain why there is no written language at all. no tech like we have. But the more Ive tried to ignore this idea of mine. somehow I will be minding my own business. learning something irrelevant. and then it leads me to another piece when I thought I forgot about this.
I really LOVE Steven. He IS such a good interviewer. That makes a huge difference between the cloud of podcasters we have nowadays. He's thoughtful and empathic. You can see It when he brings up women issues. He's done his homework every single time and has a sense of humor. The success of a podcast is the quality of questions and insights the interviewer addresses. Well done, man!! 👏🏼
I love Dr. Mindy. ❤ She's a treasure trove of wisdom and common sense. She looks and sounds tired in this though, God bless her. I hope she's getting enough rest. x I've been fasting for years and eating a mostly ketogenic diet. I'm a contradiction because I have some nail ridges, yet my nails always grow fast and are strong. My hair is slow to grow longer. I don't drink alcohol anymore but, when I did, I would get tipsy and drunk very quickly. I have some dry and cracked skin on the soles of my feet, mostly on my heels and at the tops of my feet. No yellowness at the inner corners of my eyes, thankfully! As I said, I am a contradiction.
She’s absolutely right! Eating healthy is very expensive now! Meat is tooo expensive and and the price for vitamins and mineral supplements can make your head spin! But I have no choice tbh my ❤is at stake! It’s either this or the pharmaceutical company wins!
Bingo. Now you know how the game is played. Increase prices on the good food so people are reduced to eating crap food; increase sickness; make bank on parmaceutical drugs. Doctors are in on it as well. A large part of the health industry is a scam to make them big bucks. When I think about it too much it disgusts me.
I eat organic whole foods only & goes a long way to be affordable* I enjoy making bone broth veggie soup with leftover whole free from cooked chicken from Loblaws after I had 3-4 meals. Lentils, kidney beans, black-eyed peas etc...that are in a bag are cheap superfood* Mind you, I do not eat processed crap food, soda poison etc... Make my own salad dressing & mayo cuz crap from store is all toxic! No rapeseed aka canola oil for this gal* We need to eat/cook like our parents/grandparents & stop going to places like Mc'rotton ronnies
I just bought about 6 supplements last week. Despite the fact that four of them qualified for buy one get one half off, I still spent $136. Unfortunately, some will only last a month while 2-3 will last two months. This is not something I can maintain. Especially when I still need a few other supplements. I looked at selenium and knew I should have gotten it, but I knew the bill was already high. I opted out of a collagen supplement too for the same reason and because the good ones weren't cheap at all. I'd have spent another $50 on collagen alone and it wasn't even a 30 day supply. 😩
@@AshaStaysFit I learned that 1-2 brazil nuts provides daily selenium from motivational doc (Naturalpath/chiro) Also eating fruits/veggies helps to produce collagen

9.5 yrs ago my liver was dying, I was pre diabetic, I had severe insomnia. I could barely stand up my feet were so painful. I had arthritis. A Vegan showed up in my life and I listened and saw my money was being used to torture the Innocent- I went Vegan...I bought my fruits & Vegetables from the supermarket...within 2 months my body healed COMPLETELY - my doctor couldn't speak when he saw my after Vegan blood tests. Im 65 now and I can run, pick up and carry a 20kg bag of seed for my rescued chickens - I dont eat their eggs...their lives are one with Nature not for human minds to use & abuse. I recently moved 4 ton of logs and many were massive...Im 4ft 9cm and weigh 46kg. I walk 70-80 km a week with my 53 kg bull mastiff. I started taking a Vegan multi vitamin 2 years ago because I noticed my hair was drying which was also due to stupidily having perms. (they worked immediately- they say vitamins take months to work...well, Vegan ones work instantly) I've always eaten some organic vegetables. My intention is to move and grow 80% of my fruit & Vegetables. I belong to a Vegan permicultre website. I grow all my own foods (atm not much) in organic Mushroom soil recommended by a non vegan fruit & Vegetables farmer. Getting old does mean I need to keep a check on what my body is telling me.
In agreement in a way. I have been through vegetarianism and Yogic eating and now have moved from Keto to carnivore as much as a Lion carnivore and in summer a bit Keto. I still have energy issues but no fat issues and I’ve got to sayCeltic French sea salt from the Guerand must be eaten, and fermented lemons with this salt is just wild with gin and tonic. My liver flips with bliss, and I tell you, the less veg you take , the less toilet paper, you will need! Love what you do. Yogi Joy❤
How do you ferment lemons please tell us? Slices and the same amount of salt as for sauerkraut? Do you add water as well? And how do Id eat them? If I don't want drink gin 😅. Thank you 💜🙏✨
You should check out supplementing with iodine. Also went from vegan to carnivore.. feel much better but the iodine was missing piece. I take 15 drops twice a day of 2%

Just eliminate sugars grains and starchy foods, the bad kind that turns to sugar. All food was good until mankind put it's 2 cents worth of help and ruined everything. 😢
Vegan over 8 years. I do raw til 4 style. Supplement with whole food vitamins. It corrected a white line split down my left thumb I had a long time. My feet grew 2 sizes as an adult.
@@vanitagomes3794 What do I eat you ask. "Raw til 4" is a vegan eating plan designed by two Australian vegans. Basically its fruit for breakfast and lunch....and or juices. Dinner is rice or potatoes for the most part. Large amounts. up to 3 or 4 lbs of potatoes. once a week vegan pizza or pasta. He has about 4 pies in one sitting. She shows herself eating a whole pound of pasta in one sitting. IF, and only if.....you are doing a really good amount of exercising. Bike riding/jogging...rebounding. etc. I'm currently just juicing all day....and for dinner just squash (which is a fruit.) I needed a detox to get prescription drugs out of my body....so I wanted it to work quickly the carbs and potatoes would slow the process down. The have videos just search "Raw til 4" Durianrider and Freelee; no longer together but there are tons of videos. You just have to understand they did long periods of time completely raw so their metabolisms are fast.
@@vanitagomes3794people can get all essential nutrients from fatty meat. Little to no carb. Little to no fiber is generally more beneficial to anyone compared to any other diet. However, strict carnivore can be very hard to do and someone can be vegan and be healthy but it does require significant supplementation and ensuring you get the full spectrum of essential amino acids. Also with vegan or a heavy focus on grains/ plants you have to be very careful not to poison yourself with chemicals and metals. I have primarily beef, lamb, or deer(if I can get one) but add in small amount of low glycemic fruits like blueberries on occasion. I also make my own Greek yogurt (unsweetened). If I need carbs for let’s say a crazy long backpacking day I like to add in some nuts. I have less than 50 carbs a day and in general this hasn’t impacted long duration or short duration, intense activity. Also if you’re still reading, be skeptical of foods that advertise plant based or keto. This can be true without the product being healthy at all. In short, protein and healthy fats are good. Eliminate most processed foods. Have less carbs. Healthy fats like nice olive oil, coconut oil, ghee are my favorites but also standard grass fed butter. High cholesterol is not bad - high “big partical” ldl with insulin resistance due to high carb high sugar diet is bad. Check A1c, hdl to triglyceride ratio when getting blood work done - don’t out emphasis on total cholesterol as indicator of cardiovascular health. I don’t have notifications on so I won’t see if people respond. I would just say anyone who is skeptical of carnivore, get your blood work done, do carnivore without cheating for 3 months and get your blood work done again as well as document in generalities how you feel. The best I ever felt in my adult life was the 3 months I did full carnivore with no cheating.
There has to be more to why some people are lacking minerals. I have always had ridges, yet I have always eaten more veggies (some conventional, some organic) than most people I know. My husband eats half as many veggies and he does not have ridges.
Ridges on your nails are largely genetic. It’s a bit like saying my hair has been brown my whole life so I mustn’t be getting enough minerals because another person’s hair is blonde. I l’d take everything she said with a healthy dose of skepticism. If the ridges appear over time, or become more pronounced, you may need to look at your mineral intake - but many ppl just have vertical ridges because that’s the way they were born. If in doubt, you may like to consider getting a blood test to see if you are low in any minerals.
@@docemmettbrown3750 Yes please use discernment with respect to your individual situation. If your once smooth nail bed has turned brittle, splitting, ridged or peeling then it's likely health or nutritionally deficiency related.
My nails have ridges. My doctor said it’s from getting older she said nothing about minerals and I asked her several times what a 🤬🤬 I knew not to trust her smh
The pancreas health also tells about liver health. How much carbs and sugars is intaking daily and weekly. The pancreas overworking also overworks the liver in it’s processing for the body. It’s causes high triglycerides in the liver.
I have been loosing hair which is my only symptom. I wanted more clarity regarding the hair loss topic but she never went back and touched on it🙆🏻♀️ not sure if it’s a mineral deficiency or a liver issue?
My hair fall is possibly due to iodine (and other trace element)deficiency. I'm back on iodized salt and eating nori sheets, tinned sardines and salmon and hazelnuts for selenium.
So in the summer, my feet get crusty and my heels get cracked because I wear sandals all the time. But in the winter, I wear shoes so my feet are soft. So what she says about look at your feet and if they’re all cracked and dried it’s saying something about your liver well that doesn’t make any sense
Especially about NUTRITION. MDs only get two weeks of "Nutrition". Chiropractors study of for a good two years, and it's NOT the S.A.D (standard American diet). It's main Eastern Medicine (address the cause not the symptoms. )
Ive been taking the fulvic mineralscis she recommends, very expensive, for two months. I still have ridges, my nails are exactly the same, maybe even more prone to breaking. Actually my bails are not stiff and brittle, but bendable and breakable. Not sure about this fulvic mineral brand. Its 70 bucks. There is another brand which is thirty bucks and comes in a glass bottle. The Bright Minerals one doesnt. They say they have a special plastic that wont leach but i dont know
I get humic/fulvic minerals and it costs $29/mo on Amazon. Great stuff, I won't go a day without it now. It totally regulated my bowel back to mornings as it was until I hit my 20's!! (64 now) The brand is Vital Earth. 1 oz each morning with purified water added up to 6 oz. Just make sure to brush your teeth/tongue with purified water afterward. Don't use toothpaste it might kill the minerals depending on the ingredients!!
@@alaskabarb8089country of origin matters a LOT. Assuming 2-3 is enough when it comes from a poor selenium country does harm, since you assumed it had enough to fulfill RDA
Oh my God so many doctors I'm in your opinion so many things they say they learn from school where who's sponsor's school who can we trust we can't really listen to whose information is correct please tell me who can listen to
There are ridges and then there are ridges. Vertical ridges can be a normal sign of aging. However, can also be a sign of hypothyroidism. Horizontal ridging, dips, or white marks (Beau’s lines) can be from zinc deficiency, chemotherapy, stress, illness, and damage from chemicals in acrylic nails.
If the tongue has a white coating, it can also mean dehydration. Just want to mention that. (Living in the desert, we lose incredible amounts of water just by breathing in air with 10% humidity. Chugging water all day - which must have a pinch of salt per glass - seems to be the only solution.) My question about humic and fulvic minerals is, why do I get nauseously sick each time I try either of them? I won't touch them anymore as this has happened twice. Can someone reading this explain it (someone who actually knows)?
I'm confused about her analogy of two different people drinking alcohol. Is the drinker who's hammered and dancing on the bar metabolizing the alcohol quickly or the drinker who seems the same as when they first walked into the bar?
The person who seems the same. The body is doing what the body does with alcohol more quickly, so the person goes to baseline more quickly. Does this make sense?
@@LauraB.335 I'm pretty sure she said it was the person who was quick to appear drunk who was processing the alcohol faster. The person who is the same and hardly affected is more slowly metabolising the alcohol. That's probably why some alcoholics can drink all night and not appear wasted.
Only have nail ridges right hand middle finger and left hand pinky. Not all over them but some. But can't it be that you are deficient because of the fast? I fast 16 hrs almost every day.
I think she is stating her opinions vs facts. I am not saying that she is wrong but she doesn’t come across as credible when she says things like, ‘I really like regenerative farming at the moment.’
@me-lg1yw I understand where you are coming from. Then, I started digging into my own research. But I do know she can back up her opinion with facts. Just do your own research. It is quite intriguing.
No, it's not. At least, it shouldn't be because we don't buy inputs and pesticides. And remember, a conventional carrot has no vitamins so you are buying diseases. The organic one, feeds you. The conventional only makes you full
Muslims fast all Ramadan…We believe in the same God (Allah is (God)in Arabic .In the Arabic Bible for Christians Allah is still Gods name.just like in Spanish God is (Dios)…😊
I take natural progesterone for hair loss, energy and to balance out my estrogen/testosterone. It’s take all she says but nothing helped like the progesterone. Life saver.
Can someone please clarify for me. Who has the healthiest liver? The person who drinks and is hammered after a few drinks or the person who can drink the whole bar and seem like they are completely normal? It wasn't clear who Dr Mindy meant had the healthiest liver. I would really lime to know which one. Thanks.
The person who drinks no alcohol is the healthiest (and you’re keeping your brain cells alive!) but in terms of her convo - the person who metabolises alcohol faster and gets drunk quicker has a more healthy liver function.
I think what Dr. Mindy was saying when you fast… you eat less, so there’s more to spend on grassfed meat… organic whatever. I live with three people who do not eat like me, and I’m by far the cheapest and I only eat grassfed meat… organic things. By a laaaaandslide.
The less amount of vegetables and fruits I consume, the better my body does. I eat very, very few. Maybe 1 serving a month of vegetables and 2 of fruit. No more hot flashes, weight loss and energy, muscle injury with super quick recovery….i can’t say enough about the ketovore or carnivore lifestyle. None of the symptoms this woman is talking about either.
Friend were the fruits and veggies truly organic? Do you have all the minerals to process fruits and vegetables? Like if you lack certain nutrients you won't produce enough stomach acid and then you could have too much bad bacteria that can create irritation/inflammation/ulcers. All meat can be great but make sure you don't get zinc overloaded and miss out on copper. Seafood can have a lot of copper but its so high in zinc it cancels the copper out. Bound copper rules so many important mechanisms in the body BUT if you're missing vitamin A (retinol from animal/cod liver oil) then your body can't process the copper and it can end up rogue and oxidizing and creating havoc. Also remember if you're eating regular fruits and vegetables you got to be mindful that RoundUp GlysPhosphates are prolly being used, that chelates mienrals out of the weeds to kill them and then you eat the produce and you're getting minerals chelated out. Then in time you end up on various prescription drugs for high blood pressure, high chilesteral and in ten years on statins you end up diabetes 2 and maybe another few decades chemo pills, etc..guess what, these all long-term can deplete minerals from your body.
I've been struggling with trying to be carnivore (or mostly carnivore) for a while, It helps but I need to combine intermittent fasting to really see results, (esp skipping breakfast)
Meat is the most medically processed thing you can eat. I grew up across the field of an abattoir, the screams at night will stay with me life long. You need fibre and antioxidants to survive..grow your own, my grandparents lived to 99/97 doing this..and they lived through two WWs and mass starvation in Europe. Many live in cities and with the cost of living crisis we can't do that..we will live 20yrs less on average..just is. 💕
@eri7-11 I am also ketovore but definitely having issues with minerals and Candida symptoms. Unfortunately, I don't eat seafood or organ meat that I know is rich in nutrients. Believe me, I've tried but will literally vomit. I have numerous issues and just want to feel better. I avoid all fruit and eat healthy fats with my meat and low glycemic organic veggies.. which I try to have a couple of days weekly strictly meat and fats only, but I haven't noticed any improvements in symptoms and have been doing this a couple of YEARS.. which is discouraging. I want more than weight issues resolved.. I need health to improve but everything I'm doing so far hasn't improved anything.. not even on lab work. I'm using unrefined salt, trace mineral drops, fulvic acid drops, shilijat, magnesium, potassium, and vitamin d3 k2, and more. I have exercise intolerance (one of my symptoms), so I can't do but gentle exercising and stretching right now. I'm at a lost.

She's annoying me. Not explaining enough. Assumes we know what she's on about. Ususlly your guests are VERY detailed. What minerals? Where do we find them? Be exhaustive in your info stop glossing over everything.
you are right talking very fast and not going into detail enough on where to find things she is low grade teacher. in her brain she talks to people like they have the knowledge she does.......she is a moron.
Seasoned drinkers hold alcohol alot better also than an a non drinker, so does their body just get better at processing it, their livers eventually pack it in.
I like buying fruits and vegetables And eggs From the Mennonites Also From some Hippie ladies There's a lot of that Around where I live Rhode Island in Massachusetts.
6:54 hasn’t this been know for like a long time now? Most farmers I know in the US alternate between crop types for this very reason & have for decades.
Why does it seem like she’s hoarding information? I’m glad he kept asking questions to get to the root of her statements. You can’t assume everyone knows what you’re talking about . Also, our body needs a lot of different kinds of minerals( some in trace amounts).
Ridges in your nails, not only a nutritional deficiency, but thyroid issues. Have TSH, along with thyroid antibodies, checked in your lab work every year.
They certainly won't do any harm. Fasts will only help. A few months ago, I had yellow in the inner corner of my eyes and now I don't. I fast all the time: on average, 20-22 hours every day, 7 days p/w.
Blood glucose levels are not the same as keystones. You test keystones with urine sticks at home. You can test your blood sugar at home with what she described.
@roseyb3503 blood or breath testing is far more accurate for ketones. Urine testing only tells you if there's any present, not truly the level of ketone production.
The body needs a certain amount of carbs to function. The brain needs the glucose from carbs to function properly. Btw, I also had a similar experience when I tried to cut out carbs entirely. My blood pressure was fine, but I was badly constipated and tired. I felt ill. I eat 'good carbs' most days, like bananas and potatoes. 🙂But my diet is largely ketogenic.
@ciarakristos111 strange, my brain function was way better than normal, energy was high too. But couldn't keep up the no pooping thing and was nearly passing out when I stood up but just for a 15 second period then I was fine but it kept getting worse n worse.

everything they built is based on the penta musical scale, a natural traversal pattern of notes, its found in the human voice too.
ancient flutes have been found dating near 40k years old as well, also using penta scale.
harmonic based technology was their main tech line.
they didnt have language. would be more like throat singing.

I love Dr.

(they worked immediately- they say vitamins take months to work...well, Vegan ones work instantly)
I've always eaten some organic vegetables.

What's raw till 4 style
What exactly do you eat. What about protein. Isnt carnivore better for protein
@@vanitagomes3794
What do I eat you ask.
Interviewer was so good! Thanks for asking for clarification.
There has to be more to why some people are lacking minerals. I have always had ridges, yet I have always eaten more veggies (some conventional, some organic) than most people I know. My husband eats half as many veggies and he does not have ridges.
Diigestive enzymes or HCL may be needed to help assimilate the minerals. They say a shot of 1 T. ACV with meals helps if you can tolerate the sour 😜
@@casperinsight3524 Thanks, I'll look into that, it makes sense.
@@docemmettbrown3750
Yes please use discernment with respect to your individual situation. If your once smooth nail bed has turned brittle, splitting, ridged or peeling then it's likely health or nutritionally deficiency related.
It's because the soil has no minerals. That's why so many people have health issues. 😢

How to get better ..insulin resistance?
The liver gives off high triglycerides .. not food does this???

So in the summer, my feet get crusty and my heels get cracked because I wear sandals all the time. But in the winter, I wear shoes so my feet are soft. If the tongue has a white coating, it can also mean dehydration. Just want to mention that. (Living in the desert, we lose incredible amounts of water just by breathing in air with 10% humidity. The alcohol comment was very confusing. I'm a person who can only have 1 drink, then I'm tipsy. So is that a liver problem or not?
I'm confused about her analogy of two different people drinking alcohol. Is the drinker who's hammered and dancing on the bar metabolizing the alcohol quickly or the drinker who seems the same as when they first walked into the bar?
The person who seems the same. The body is doing what the body does with alcohol more quickly, so the person goes to baseline more quickly. Does this make sense?
@@LauraB.335 Yes! Thank you so much for answering. 😊
@@LauraB.335 I'm pretty sure she said it was the person who was quick to appear drunk who was processing the alcohol faster. The person who is the same and hardly affected is more slowly metabolising the alcohol. That's probably why some alcoholics can drink all night and not appear wasted.
Still confused about which person has the liver issue. It would make more sense that the more sober person is healthier.

I think it's mostly the fruits, guess ur blood sugar levels are really high...
Blood glucose levels are not the same as keystones. You test keystones with urine sticks at home. You can test your blood sugar at home with what she described.
OK how do you get minerals into body? and what kind?
I have light ridges on my nails. Are they supposed to be baby butt smooth?
I use to test my urine with a test strip to know if I’m in Ketosis.
@roseyb3503 blood or breath testing is far more accurate for ketones. Urine testing only tells you if there's any present, not truly the level of ketone production.
@@pursuehealth940 good to know this. Thank you
Great info! Thanks
I tried cutting carbs, after 2 months of very low blood pressure and no 💩 for weeks at a time I gave up. Plus i love my comfort foods too much😄
The body needs a certain amount of carbs to function.
@@ciarakristos111 bananas and potatoes are "good carbs"?!? WOW!
