I’m on the same journey of over 40 years of relaxer since October 2023. I do a lot of wash and roller sets. Blow the roots smooth but in 3days it reverts back. I’m considering on doing the big chop. This getting expensive and time consuming.
I grew mine out for about 2 years before i cut off all the relaxer. I did big chop before and this way was just easier. Styling short short hair can be difficult
I literally just had the last of my relaxed hair cut yesterday. I feel wonderful! It took me two and a half years to transition. My hair is still below my shoulder length and healthy. Transitioning requires patience and a lot of attention to minimize breakage, but it can be done.
I have the RevAir and love it!!! I am transitioning back to natural as well. Relaxed my hair back in April, and now I want the natural again, but hey who knows. I feel you and my hair is the same length as yours. I get it! Thanks for your video because I thought I was the only one going through this LOL.
You have nice healthy hair.. I'm also transitioning but my hair broke a lot after the last wash.. I've got more products to try tho because I don't want to cut the permed part
I’m doing the same but my hair is so hard to manage and kinky- a comb won’t even pass through. What products do you recommend please? Like moisturisers or conditioners
You don’t necessarily need the comb to pass through because you can cause breakage. You have to learn how to use it without the frame of mind of needing it to pass through or finger detangle.
Black vanilla deep conditioning smoothie from Carols Daughter and the black shampoo brush from Sally’s under $5, both work wonders to detangle my transition hair and my daughters 4c hair. If you detangle over a tub or in the shower keep the hair in the same direction to wash out, detangle and style.
I am transitioning too. 16 months now but my hair tangles and knots a lot after washing. It’s almost making me to give up on the journey. Any tips that can help please? I will really appreciate it. Thanks
Look at that new growth! The bounce back is LIFE!
Thank you for showing healthy hair in the transition process. ❤
I'm in the process of doing the same thing I have relaxers for over 40 years so now I would like to try natural.
Awesome…Go for it.

@@nitenursejcampbell13Did you do it? Do you wear it short?
@@Tionaintown876 yes I cut my hair last month. I love it for the summer. I’m deciding whether to let it grow.

I agree it’s that in between stage for me, if it is short and cut into a style it can be easy but once it starts to grow out that’s when it gets hard.
I need that hair dryer
Yes yes.
Same here
Same
I literally decided to go natural this summer I’ve been wearing braids

You can grow it out slowly, you don’t necessarily have to cut it, however it depends how you take care of it as you’re growing it out.
Okay, thank you @@shannainspireshair9038

I have nothing specific I could tell you.
You have to try diff. Products. And it’s all if you are wearing it straight or curly.

Thats why i hate relaxers it gives you two textures if you dont put one every 6 months
Is it noticeable if you have a protective style in?
Depends on the style and how it’s done.
That blow dry did a good job

Relaxers are linked to uterine cancer. It’s not worth it.
