Where are you ?
Lagos, Nigeria.
How old are you?
I’m 25 years old, my birthday is on September 26.
What camera do you use?
For my main videos use the Canon M50 and I vlog using the Sony ZV1
-Where do you get your music?
SoundCloud and Epidemic sound (I pay a subscription fee).
Hi my loves! Finally filmed my relaxer update🥰 let me know if you have any other questions 🤍
Hii kamsi, the link to the relaxed hair video isn’t working
What mild relaxer brand can you recommend. Thank you
I am feeling exactly like you felt in this video.
This video is confirmation, relaxing my hair tonight , I can’t take it anymore
Me too 🎉
😂😂😂 talk about impulsivity, you go girl!!
Every time I say I am going to relax, someone complements my hair and I rethink the relaxing.
I hear you cuz babayyyyyyy
😂😅😅😅 I'm thinking about it
I am a Natural hair content creator and I will like to point out that it’s possible to have a healthy relaxed hair…. As long as you are moderate on the chemical usage. The goal is to care for your hair whether natural or relaxed.
Thank you
Thank you for saying this.
Nope! Anything chemically altered to that extent is by its very nature of being unnatural, unhealthy
Yes, the goal is to care for the manufactured hair so it doesn’t break, but that doesn’t mean it’s healthy! That’s like saying weave is healthy. It’s over. All you are doing is maintaining it
a wig/weave is not hair that is still attached to a human scalp and still alive. So the comparison don't make sense.@@deealia2568
I have been relaxing my hair nonstop from the time I was 9 years old. I will be 56 next birthday. I have a full healthy head of hair. I have never worn braids or wigs. I relax my hair every 8 weeks. I wash my hair every weak and deep condition every other week. I take a regimen of vitamins and I eat healthy. I also get regular trims. I have absolutely no problems with my hair. Its cheaper to maintain and less fuss. My mother had it relaxed because I had plenty thick hair and she has problems combing it. At the start of menopause I had breakage and I just cut it into a shorter style until grew back out. There is no debate about relaxed or natural. You just have to do what is right for you.
Did you have cancer or fibroids coz that's what is scaring me
How often do you trim? I think that’s one thing I don’t have down. I prefer my hair relaxed.
Thank you!
@@MphoPhokojoe-ir7weme too
@@MphoPhokojoe-ir7we my mother and I developed them. Been relaxing since 8 and have zero familial history.
Girl I had such a deep sense of relief when I relaxed my hair. Natural hair took so much from me. Had it for 10yrs.
I can imagineeeee. Tbh I feel like I am gonna relax my hair or just cut it and dye it different colors because natural hair is just a lot. Do this, do that. I really don't have patience for it tbh. It's beautiful quite alright and all but abeggg
I permed my hair last week after being natural for about 5-6 years. I feel so relieved
Chile I cut all this sht off after 15+ years of being natural; I needed my Sundays back lol 😆
I want to relax my hair with the Avlon relaxer, But I'm scared my hair might fall out or I might get cancer...I'm bored of natural hair...What do you think I should do?
Me too, too much work. My stylist texlaxed mines on Saturday ❤️
A relaxer makes your hair more manageable!
This is a good conversation to have - not being a slave to fake hair whether you're natural or relaxed.
This. I really hate having weave in, especially since my dry 4c hair grows dandruff too easy, but two strands kinky twists are the only ways to keep my hair manageable
Or hats 😂
Weave doesn't increase the chance of cancer and infertility so lets not prioritize relaxing over wigs
@treasuresais8416 Relaxers don't cause cancer, that's a half truth.
Relaxing my hair this week after a few years of wearing it natural. I’m so ready.
How did it go?
I relaxed my natural hair last year after 3years and am happy i did. It makes your life so easier, easy to comb and style.
And cheap
I’m going back to relaxed hair. I’m tired of knots and tangles. Relaxed hair is more manageable
I love this video because I was overwhelmed with wearing wigs and even more overwhelmed with wearing my hair out because I couldn’t seen the beauty in MY OWN HAIR. It’s a journey so I hope my confidence grows out more as I do it.
I was the same. I found confidence when my natural hair hit a certain length then I loved how it looked. Keep growing it out. I always felt self conscious in wigs it’s not for me x
As a natural hair content creator, I have to say people are honestly so different. When I was relaxed, I always had my hair ‘done’ because I was bored of the constant ‘packing style’. Now I’m natural, I have sooo many styles to explore and i rarely get added hair even when I style it. But my norm 70% of the time is THE PUFF! Yes girl😂 I’m over here puffing my whole life away! Lol but really everyone is different, just do what works best for you and enjoy the journey. ❤
Yes I would never ever relax my hair. The volume yassss!
My 4c is easy to manage. I shampoo it like 3x a week
My 12 yo daughter has hair just like yours... what do you use to keep it so bouncy looking lol
@@tmcurly3 times a week?
@@osamedennadi6309The myth of black women not washing our hair 3-4 times a week is why black women have trouble retaining length. Our hair follicles clog and we consider it normal. It’s not. We should be washing our hair WAY more than we do.
@@Justsomebodyelse235 interesting.
Relaxed or 4B/C hair, they’re all natural.
It’s from “Your” roots. I think what should be more important is that your hair is healthy💯
I’ve watched you slay your relaxed hair and can’t dare to hate, it’s a great compliment to your look and aesthetic, I love it🙇🏽♀️❤️
Awww thank youu🤍
the most important thing is that you're healthy and relaxers can be detrimental to your health.
I know exactly what you mean. Im about to relax my hair after 2 years of agony. I understand the bondage part. Im wearing MY hair from now on
plss not the indomie lmao. i am glad you've found what works for you, Kamsi. as someone who has also found "their hairstyle" within the last year, i am an unofficial advocate for doing whatever tf you want. people will always have something to say. i have and LOVE my buzz cut and some folks (including family sometimes) won't stop asking me where my wigs are. let's all just do what works for us jare
I relax my hair 2-3 a year. I even use natural hair products to still take care of my hair. My hair grows really well and fast.
I think most people should get to know their hair type (not just 4c kinda thing ) but how fast you hair get dry, your scalp etc.
I do twice a year as well. I use natural hair products too. I'm almost at mid back length. Relaxed hair grows too. Retention is key
I love my natural relax ponytails that’s my signature . It’s so timeless and classy
I agree with you wearing your regular hair in a simple style is perfect....you look beautiful ❤
Knowing what you want is where it all starts from! I also agree that this sleek and laid-back style complements you so well 😍.
Your hair looks awesome. I had a relaxer since I was 18. I have been natural for two years and I am fed up with how much work it takes for ME being natural. I think I'm going to get my hair relaxed. Not because straight is better, it is just so much easier.
Thank you for your confidence as a relaxed girly, I as a guy enjoy even my hair relaxed but I took in so much information i live for it. Bout to relax my hair today 😂
I love that you mentioned about the comments of “having your hair done” I love wearing my own hair in a low bun and feel my most beautiful that way! We are able to
Show our features! And you look beautiful with your hair like that! ❤
I’m 48 and my “hairstyle” since high school has always been a bun or ponytail too. It compliments my face the best. Even when I wear wigs it’s in a low bun or ponytail.
I was contemplating stopping relaxers as I have only had 2 starting last year and want to be healthier but the maintenance involved and how I just want to look DONE out the shower very minimal work involved has me reconsidering 😀
Kamsi, please preach!!!!!!!! Why can't I appreciate my hair? Why is it seen as “not being done”?
Your hairstyle compliments your beautiful skin and features. You look amazing
Oh my gosh Kamsi! You hit the nail on the head. I used to never carry my actual hair out and always hid it under wigs. My hair wasn’t healthy back then but I started educating myself and being intentional with my routine and my hair started thriving.
I started wearing it out more and that’s when I observed that Nigerian ladies and men alike think it’s awkward for you to not have any extensions. I remember someone once asked if I never “made my hair” for religious reasons.
I was like haaa!!
😂😂 real haa o
Same experience here. I just ignore people's thoughts and opinions
Everyone is convinced I'm Muslim cos my hair is never out...how do I explain aloe and clove water under a shower cap to people 😂😂
Relaxing my 4C hair was the best thing that happened to me! 5months since I relaxed my hair and I have not put any extensions or worn a wig, just enjoying my hair and styling it however I want and it looks so good on me and ppl say it looks gorgeous as well! My life is def easier now for sure and no regrets!
Happy for you🤍
Whew….. Im so closeee
Has it grown more?
What relaxer did you use? I am thinking about going my to relaxers
@@ItsjustKey I used Mega growth. It did the work.
I love this video! So many parts that had me screaming YAAAASSS!!! You look amazing and you're so funny lol I have locs and considering combing my locs out soon. I'm ready for this change 💛
Wow, I started this journey at the beginning of the year and my hair has grown so well, and for a while I received such harsh comments that relaxing your hair is not natural. I'm happy that you encouraged me once again to continue. Thank you so much Kamsi.
🤍🤍
Wow, contemplating relaxing my hair and this shows up❤❤
🥰
I used to be relaxed my whole life and decided to go natural during Covid lockdowns because I felt adventurous 😂
Now I don’t really see myself going back. I feel like relaxed hair is pretty high maintenance too because you always have to keep up with the relaxer touch ups and make sure to find a way to keep your hair from shedding excessively(which I was not good at 😅) I’m honestly more of a lazy natural, just wash my hair once every 1-2 weeks and leave it in a protective style. That’s what works best for me. At the end of the day, relaxed or natural you still need to make some kind of effort in taking care of it. Just do what’s best for you 😊
Babyyy your teeth, your smileee I love it❤🥹
Love your videos even more!❤️
Thank you so much 🙈
Been natural my entire life. Got my first relaxer at 27 and will never go back to natural again. My hair is still past bra length
I came to this video for confirmation. I been natural for over 10 years and I’m thinking about getting my hair relaxed again. It’s hard to maintain natural hair.
In bondage, that's a really good way to put it. I felt that way too
She has spoken what has been on my mind of late😂. My hair is done if I’m on my natural hair period😌💅.
Love the new background! Amazing video Kamsi.
I relaxed my natural hair last year and its the best decision i've made. I don't regret it at all because its alot easier for me to manage and manipulate my hair now.
I'm able to do more styles. I stress less about how my hair looks. There's more versatility. Its just so easy!
At the end of the day just do what you want with your hair and keep it healthy.
So true, big emphasis on stressing less
Thank you Kamsi. I hate the school of thought that your hair must be braided or under a wig always as an African woman for your to be beautiful. I noticed you always wear your natural hair more and I love that. Once my natural hair grows and I can pack it into two or one puff, I'm done with wigs.
Your hair is giving.
I remember when you decided to relax your hair
I was like oops I hope the outcome will worth it.
But now seeing your hair on relaxed
I.must confess I think I love it more🥰🥰🥰🥰🥰
Thank youu 🥰
I have fine 4c natural hair, and wearing my hair everyday in sleeked looks is very doable. People ask me a lot when I’ll get my hair done, but my hair hates protective styles, and I don’t even love them either. Sleek looks give me the confidence I need. I’m literally getting my hair done everyday, so what are they saying fr 🤣.
I have fine 4c hair and the weather is dry l. Relaxers are what it is for me
When I was still on relaxed hair, I leave my hair for 6months before I relax again so I just relax my hair just twice in a yr. It helped me retain lenght. But I notice my hair was shedding too much at a time so I decided to go natural
I’ve never been natural but I looove my relaxed hair so much, I can’t imagine my life without it. I do believe natural hair is beautiful and would love to consider it at some point though. Your hair is thriving by the way 🤩😍💗
I asked Bae today, remember kamsi that my favorite UA-camr and he goes…. How can I forget, you drum her name in my ears 😅😅😅 go girl I am always rooting for you. You made me start my UA-cam channel and I love my growth so far. Thank you ❤❤❤
I can relate. That's how my sister won't let me rest. Everytime kamsi, kamsi, kamsi. I tire...I'm sha here😅
Aww thank youu🥹 and congrats on your channel

@@kamsinnamani Thank you Sis🤎
Honestly I can’t wait to relax my hair. I have such thick natural hair which really overwhelms me these days, limited hairstyling and what not. I want to leave my hair out more.
Your favourite hair style is my favourite hair style on myself too. The bun just brings out all the beautiful features.

I’ve been thinking I wanted to get a perm. This is motivating me. Thank you so much.
Loved this video. relaxed hair is so comfortable and stress free. Made the best decision relaxing my hair ❤️
First one here 🎉
I’ve had relaxed hair all my life but never use to wear it out. But after seeing you girlllll, ponytails have been the order of the day for me for the past couple of months. If I’m trying to be fancy, I add a detachable ponytail 😅
Awww so happy to hear🥹🤍
I’ve been going back and forth about relaxing my hair and I’m thinking to just go ahead and relax my hair tomorrow. Can you share your routine, and what you do in between relaxers, do you do any relaxers at home?
Also, yes to the new background. The wood used to reflect your light sources. This is really lovely
Thank youu
@@kamsinnamani ♥
If you find a combination of products, that really (soften)your new growth. Then you can, extend your gap, between relaxing.
Shampoo/conditioner,moisture & protein treatments, your styling products. And you can also, use a electrical pressing comb,to straighten your hair. This is what I do.Also you can saturate your hair with Ghee,it’s an Indian cooking butter,it conditions, softens, smoothes, and grows hair.
I’m about to give it up 15 years natural.. I had a baby and can’t take it anymore..what is your ghee hair regime ?
I love your honesty Kamsi and appreciate your transparency!!! Hair is beautiful either way, and I am relaxed as well. Was natural 6 years and was very unhappy and too time consuming. I love being relaxed again and I am NEVER going back natural lol
Thank you so much for this video,i have a full on 4c thick natural hair that everyone seem to love and i do too but that ish is painful.. For my bday next month I'm letting it hang loose..i cannot wait..And thank you soo much for your tips,i will definitely be taking note😉🤗🤗
I am at the point where I do not want to do anything at all to my natural hair, feels like I am in bondage, I have been hiding it away in protective styles, not having fun with my hair anymore. I am really contemplating relaxing it.
I started to feel like that but I choose colour and a tapered cut instead of relaxer. I also find having two textures annoying when the relaxer grows out.
it's interesting that you get comments on your hair not being 'done'. it's been the opposite for me. since my relaxer in Jan 22, I keep getting compliments on how beautiful the hair looks, how it's made me look more mature etc. people will always have weird opinions lol
Lol really…I get compliments but then followed up with when I’m doing my hair🤣
@@kamsinnamani Lmaoo we can never win😭😩
Love the detailed wardrobe doors😍
I really admire your hair anytime i watch your videos thanks for the tips you dropped about growth.
I don't understand when people talk about chemicals, even our shampoos, conditioners, leave in, body wash are chemicals.
And I read the article, some deep conditioning and some other type of straightening were mentioned, plus certain hair coloring. And many of the people already have genetic predispositions, the frequency which they used the relaxer at, the type of relaxer had more to do with the study than a literal causation from what I recall.
I used to be afraid for years of going back of the popularization of the conclusion without giving enough details. But when I read it, I texturized it the same week because it was either that or cutting my hair again, more than 8 times. It is healthy but too dense and requires too much work and time, especially in the cold now.
Omg, you look absolutely stunning! I intend to relax my hair in a few months and saw your relaxer video. Thank you for the update. Great to see you so happy with your hair. Very inspiring.
in the last 4 years ive gone through natural to microlocs , last weekend i cut of my locs (big chop) i want to grow my hair out this time straight and ill be "heat training" its a great alternative to relaxer
It’s the “the ponytail that doesn’t belong to me” for me 😂😂❤
You do you kamsi
I was relaxed before now I’m natural
How is it?
Does you hair grow more when you go natural or when it is premade
@@jesusfavouritechild well I’m just 1 yr 5month natural and it’s giving 4c length
Depends on how fast your hair grows. Mines slow
I was relaxed from the age of 9 to about my late 20s. My hair was so healthy. I’m now natural and don’t wear wigs and braids maybe 5 times and I’ve been natural for over 10 years. I’m not considering going back relaxed.
I had my natural hair for about 4 years. Its thickness and shrinkage are authentic curios to go back to relaxers because I'm tired of braiding and twisting out and constantly having to get protective styles because my hair isn't the pretty lossy glossy curls. I felt that because unfortunately, even blowouts or silk presses would only last 1-2 days, even with wrapping before heat and humidity takes over.
My struggle
The makeup though 🤯👏🏽
Love and enjoyed this video.. Thank you for sharing, the new background looks very pleasant. Have an amazing rest of your week kam 💜
Relaxed my hair last week after 2years of being natural.... Best decision ever ..
What salon do you get your hair done at? Cause it looks like you have the relaxing professionally done
We shed on average 80-100 strands daily. As you mentioned in your video, you wore your hair 90% of the time in protective styles. Therefore, it was hard for you to notice the shedding.
Oh my goodness… I absolutely love wearing my hair in a pony tail pulled back. I get the same bs about doing my hair… I don’t like how I look with weave or wigs and I don’t like wearing my hair down all the time🤷🏾♀️
This is really lovely!!! Can you please do a video on the real effects of Edge control 😊
Totally agree!! My hair grows better and much faster when relaxed! 💯
Loving the new background 😍😍
I have bee natural for 6 yrs and i'm getting mine relaxed as well.........mine is too much and i'm tired of walking around being a bag lady and looking unkempt.....i'm getting it relaxed so i can manage it better
omor the quality of this video 🔥🔥🔥
Thank youu
✨Lowkey love the new background, very simple and very Kamsi if that makes sense but yeah you gerrit😂☺️
Thank youu Susan 🥰 not done yet though
Thank you this video gave me the push I need :)
Relaxing my hair tomorrow
Hi kamsi please could you drop the hair routine
Yes girl, I love your attitude you definitely motivated me to go through with it today. I am running to the store to get my perm
Love love the new background kamsi and you rock your hair so well, as long as it’s not illegal, do what works for you always💕 💕
Exactly. My hair is a lot too. I just prefer to relax. I totally understand why my grandma and mum kept it relaxed and it was always healthy and beautiful.
I’m just not with keeping it natural it costs me more money because some people’s hair isn’t as thick they use less of the product. I use three times as much which makes it expensive to maintain it natural.
I love it relaxed and will continue to. I’m going for a pixie cut. I had a baby 8 months ago and my hair has become rogue 😂😂😂
Im in the same boat, Im thinkinking to go back to relaxer because I feel like i dont show my hair, its too much, but im scare.
I’ve really enjoyed watching this video.
I can relateeeeeeeee oh my! I can so relate to that feeling of bondage. I really am not one who has the time to care for my hair and natural hair requires just so much care. Anytime I loose my hair, I have to quickly make a bew hair because caring for natural hair is just a lot. I have full hair and so I can't decide to just leave my hair packed when it's natural and it's so annoying
Not the shade at indomie please 😂 The slick back hairstyle fits you alotttt and it has this clean look
I use to be a relaxed hair girl right from childhood, but I decided to go natural for change of look, something different I guess, sometimes it can be a lot when managing, but I love it though, I enjoyed the video btw ❤️
And you look beautiful! I'm thinking about it as well...my hair has a great length and I'm a little nervous.
I don’t get people who tend to judge people with relaxed hair😅. It is still the hair that grows from the roots of your head 😂❤.
Notification geng 😁. I relaxed my hair a month after yours. Thank God I'm loving it the way you are.
Awww yay twinning🥰
We need a hair care routine and tips
No truer words have been said about relaxed hair. Unfortunately I’m currently struggling with mine and I haven’t found a way out yet, I hope I do soon. It’d be nice if you can share your routine in a separate video😁
Your hair is beautiful, whichever way you choose to flunt it. It'll still be beautiful. And you're looking real good here.
It’s a lot of work being natural and my wash days drain me! It’s such a strenuous process. I’m getting restless I want to not have worry about my hair so much and just have a easy basic routine
I love your hair Kamsi, it's giving hair goals for me☺️
do you recommend doing protective styles like braids after 8 weeks?
Im going to relax my hairrr!!. What relaxer did you use
I told my bf I wanna perm my hair and well I came to research and you were my first stop 💯🤟🏽
Love the new background! The hair really suits you ❤
Please the link for the relaxed hair channel isn't working, can it be rectified
The link isn’t working for me either😢
I started my relaxed hair journey in 2021 and I basically relax my hair after 4 months 😅 ☺ 😌 crazy, but it helped me get the length I never thought I'd get
So, it's a 4 months interval duration for me before I relax my undergrowth.
