20 years ago, I was living in a group home when I bought a guide for Lunar: Eternal Blue at a dollar store. "What's the point in buying a guide for a game you don't even have?" they said. They just didn't understand my love of video games, how it was like being the main character in a novel to me. Now, after all this time, I feel I will finally be able to go on this adventure.
PLEASE let the original english version be in this remaster! Wind's Nocturne was ok but i felt the ENglish original captured Luna's character so much better!

Not in a million years did I think these would get remastered and put together in a bundle. They look bright and beautiful, just like I remember them. What an amazing surprise. I hope it comes to the Switch because these games will look absolutely beautiful on the OLED screen. If not, I’ll gladly play them on the PS5.

Don't forget Dragon Quest III HD-2D remake in November and DQ 1&2 HD-2D remake next year! A turn-based JRPG smorgasbord! Plus there's Fantasian in December.

I saw a post on a Lunar Facebook group saying that Jennifer and John (Ghaleon) weren't aware of this remaster happening but that they would both be up for reprising their roles. It seems like they've already recorded with new voices which if that's the case seems unnecessary and disappointing. I feel like to a lot of us old fans of the games the voices are iconic so I don't really know why they'd go through the trouble of hiring an all new cast.
@@blackdragongrief Sometimes the audio from the old games were tough to remaster since they were likely in a less advanced studio. Metal Gear Solid Twin Snakes re-recording the old lines come to mind.
My neighbor had a segaCD and we'd go over there and watch him play this game in the 90's. We all couldn't imagine graphics getting any better than that at the time, it was unlike anything else around.
My Retro Life talked about this game in a recent video and I fell in love with what I was seeing. I went and looked for a remaster, a re-release - something! Couldn't find anything. Then today we have this! We're blessed, folks.

Well guess im buying it for the 3rd time and i literally woke up this morning and thought about lunar, listened to the ost and watched alex turn into the dragonmaster.
just expected useless things such as a plastic cover, plastic stand still figurines, maybe a plush doll, soundtrack, maybe an art book. I don't think there will be any fancy leather book instruction booklets like the ps1 did. I'm expecting $300 collector set since it's two games.
To hear this announcement was a surprise. I have now seen 3 versions of the original Lunar games. I cried tears of joy from hearing "Wings." A generation of gamers are going to be blessed to play such fantastic games.
There were 2 games that I really wanted to be remastered with absolute zero hope for all those years. Lunar 1&2 and Vanguard Bandits. I am 35 years old and I almost have tears as I am watching this trailer.

Ok if they remaster xenogears hopefully they will finish the game and add in the portion of the game at the end that was cut it sucked how the end was rushed made it feel disjointed and a bit confusing 😢
Lunar and Lunar 2 are the only reasons why I was happy that I bought a Sega CD. Not that I expect it, but it would be nice if those were included as a bonus.
Aaaaargh, this series is what got me addicted to jRPGs from my childhood!! I absolutely adore and love this series and I'm so happy to finally see Lunar 2 included. Over the years, Lunar 1 had many re-releases and remakes but Lunar 2 was never included.
I am the biggest legend of dragoon fan of all time, but let's be real they are never in a million lifetimes ever remaking it. The best we can hope for is a remaster.

No matter how much time passes. Lunar ALWAYS finds a way to make it to the next generation. I played the GBA port of the game, and that was .... an experience. Im excited for this!
My brother bought this at EB when we were in middleschool. We knew about chronol trigger and ff 2 and 3. Or rather 4 and 6. Ended up being my favorite jrps as well as 2.
Glory to Althena! These are some of my top RPG games. I played the remakes on GBA and PSP but I always saw the beauty of these games. I've been waiting for so long to play these again. These are some of the best RPG in gaming history and a new generation of gamers will see that too
My oldest and best friend passed away a couple years ago and I remember us sitting down and beating both of these games side by side each other. I sobbed when Luna started singing. This one is gonna be for him, but also for my little girl Luna that loves to sing.
I am so excited to hear about this!! I've only ever been able to play the GBA version, but it's still one of my favorite games and I can't WAIT to finally be able to play the original version!!
@@DiNA-D2 there are a few changes between the Sega CD and PS1 versions. For one, the song that was played is from the PS1 remake. The PS1 version also has a lot of anime cut scenes.
@@buckroger6456 The GBA one liked to imply there were cutscenes by just showing super low-res still frames from them, so I'm definitely excited to actually get to see them in the game.
Oh you'll have a blast! I loved Lunar Legend (gba) it was my introduction to Lunar, but the Playstation version had deeper combat, full cutscenes, a bit harder, more content. I hope you love it!!!
I still have both original ps1 discs and strategy guides with all memory card stickers in tact and play them once every three years. Just when I thought everyone forgot this absolute Game Arts/Working Designs classic that showed us US gamers what a premium edition of a game was before we even knew it, I honestly can’t wait. So stoked for this and the Suikoden rerelease glad they’re showing us old JRPGers some love.
This was SO UNEXPECTED TO SEE!! The reason why is because Retro Gamers born in the 80's like myself and 90's gamers KNOW how Super Expensive it is nowadays to buy the original PS1 copies of this game because they start out around $200 and up. Thank goodness that someone who still works at "Working Designs" was able to find and keep the "Source Code" of this game and that's how this Remaster was able to be done! LET'S GO!!!

Silver Star is an excellent foundation, Eternal Blue a brilliant sequel. It's almost like Aliens or Terminator 2 in terms of sequel quality.

Squenix own the rights to Xenogears, not Sony.

Still have my Sega CD copy of each game and I still play them. One of the best RPGs ever, IMO.

Lunar and Lunar 2 are the only reasons why I was happy that I bought a Sega CD. Not that I expect it, but it would be nice if those were included as a bonus.

Aaaaargh, this series is what got me addicted to jRPGs from my childhood!! I absolutely adore and love this series and I'm so happy to finally see Lunar 2 included. Over the years, Lunar 1 had many re-releases and remakes but Lunar 2 was never included.
I noticed that, too! I was wondering when Lunar 2 would be remembered again. I'm so glad it's finally here.
I hoped for a remake, but will GLADLY take this.
Just give us Legend of Dragoon Remake next.
Honestly this gem doesn’t need a remake - it was perfect years ago and it still looks perfect today 🥲
I am the biggest legend of dragoon fan of all time, but let's be real they are never in a million lifetimes ever remaking it. The best we can hope for is a remaster.

I'd just be happy with a reskin (more modern graphics over the old models more like Halo CE Remastered), but would love a remake with better localization and full voice acting.

No matter how much time passes. Lunar ALWAYS finds a way to make it to the next generation. I played the GBA port of the game, and that was .... an experience. Im excited for this!
Would love the original Sega CD versions, but I'll take what I can get.

My brother bought this at EB when we were in middleschool. We knew about chronol trigger and ff 2 and 3. Or rather 4 and 6. Ended up being my favorite jrps as well as 2.

Yes, the original ports by Working Designs for the Sega CD and later PSOne ports all had complete voice acting.

Glory to Althena! These are some of my top RPG games. I played the remakes on GBA and PSP but I always saw the beauty of these games. I've been waiting for so long to play these again. These are some of the best RPG in gaming history and a new generation of gamers will see that too
My oldest and best friend passed away a couple years ago and I remember us sitting down and beating both of these games side by side each other. I sobbed when Luna started singing. This one is gonna be for him, but also for my little girl Luna that loves to sing.
it has been YEARS since I last owned, and played these games, but that song is burned into my memory. I cannot wait for spring!
I am so excited to hear about this!! I've only ever been able to play the GBA version, but it's still one of my favorite games and I can't WAIT to finally be able to play the original version!!
Well, not the original versions since this looks to be the PS1 remakes of the lunar games.
@@buckroger6456 Oh for real? I couldn't tell since I haven't played either of those versions. But I'm definitely still excited either way!
@@DiNA-D2 there are a few changes between the Sega CD and PS1 versions. For one, the song that was played is from the PS1 remake. The PS1 version also has a lot of anime cut scenes.
@@buckroger6456 The GBA one liked to imply there were cutscenes by just showing super low-res still frames from them, so I'm definitely excited to actually get to see them in the game.
Oh you'll have a blast! I loved Lunar Legend (gba) it was my introduction to Lunar, but the Playstation version had deeper combat, full cutscenes, a bit harder, more content. I hope you love it!!!
I still have both original ps1 discs and strategy guides with all memory card stickers in tact and play them once every three years. Just when I thought everyone forgot this absolute Game Arts/Working Designs classic that showed us US gamers what a premium edition of a game was before we even knew it, I honestly can’t wait. So stoked for this and the Suikoden rerelease glad they’re showing us old JRPGers some love.
Legend of Legaia has a chance if they remember this awesome series.

This was SO UNEXPECTED TO SEE!! The reason why is because Retro Gamers born in the 80's like myself and 90's gamers KNOW how Super Expensive it is nowadays to buy the original PS1 copies of this game because they start out around $200 and up. Thank goodness that someone who still works at "Working Designs" was able to find and keep the "Source Code" of this game and that's how this Remaster was able to be done! LET'S GO!!!
Working Designs stopped existing years ago. They now go by Gaijinworks. Wonder if Vic had anything to do with this.
