Cyan is goat FF6. My favorite. My party consisted of Cyan and 3 empty spaces. Helps to use game genie/pro actionreplay cheat '0 xp per battle' so you can start stat stacking when you get +2 mag/str/speed espers. Also makes the game frustratingly hard late game when you're level 9.
If Square did a remake of VI in full 3D for the complete game in one go, i personally would go buy whatever it was being released on just for that one game, even if it screwed my finances for a year.
Final Fantasy VI was my first Final Fantasy game, and it is still, far and away, my favorite among a series I love much. I fell in love with these characters and with this world as a child, and I would absolutely be ecstatic to see a remake like this for real. Thank you so much for sharing!
VII only existed because the sales from VI became way more than what Square expected. They were about to go bankrupt pouring everything into a 3-4 MB SNES cartridge. VII is great, don't get me wrong...but I feel that's all Square really has left...which is why they're so invested in the FFVII Project.

They tried the movie thing twice and an anime once. One movie bombed so bad they had to sell a studio to break even. The anime series was just ... no. Advent Children did okay but not good enough to justify more.

It being a Final Fantasy movie I expected more magic and swordplay, but the story was pretty decent and a nod to the Lifestream from FFVII.

I think ffvi is probably the magnus opus of the entire series and ffx is my favorite. Something about this game in particular screams master piece category. If there's a remake, with incredible writing, visuals and score. This game could become cinema.

This game has done so much for my childhood. Replaying the pixel version taught me it was more than just nostalgia. I would do almost do anything for a Offical Remake of this.
Mog and Gogo make my heart burst with joy! Shadow looked pretty cool, too. Well, only Terra was less than super awesome, but she was still squarely in the "awesome" side of things 💖

Technically FFI,II, III and IV have their definitive remakes (on the PSP and DS no less). What we are missing is some quality V and VI remakes, be it 2D HD or 3D.
Because everyone keeps saying how 7 was the best when honestly sephiroth had weak priorities. Other villains focused on destroying dimensions and practically all of existence. But he just wanted to destroy the world.

Back in January, it didn't actually bother me when director Yoshinori Kitase announced a FFVI Remake was unlikely, since it would take 20 years to make. That was to be expected for FFVI - and, to some extent, Chrono Trigger as well. But now, having watched this trailer, I realise just what we might be missing. It's like never having had any children, but at the same time seeing what each of them would have become. Such a bittersweet feeling…

I wish I could go back and play this for the first time. I was nine the year this game released and got it for Christmas from my grandparents who had no idea what they had done. It took me about three years to beat this game because I was young and got lost often. No internet and no strategy guide. Stumbling upon the Ancient Castle and getting rocked by Samurai Soul…oh the nostalgia.

Hell, there's probably an actual fart machine out there so my farts aren't even that special. FFVI is my favorite Final Fantasy and I have been wishing for a proper remake instead of another port for at least a decade. This gives me goosebumps. Kefka had far greater depth than Sephiroth as a villain. FF7 was a great game, and I'm enjoying the remake and it's tweaks to the story. MAN I wish this was real!

Ff6 deserves the ff7 remake treatment. I dont know if it could even be pulled off with how massive it would be. It could still all be turn based but this fidelity and atmosphere shown here is epic and awesome. Would love it.
@@johnnyrogers8866 i love the new hybrid system in Remake and Rebirth. If you want a fresh replay of OG ff7 i HIGHLY recommend modding the PC version with the new threat 2.0 mod and updating all of the visuals. It makes the game an 11/10.
@@johnnyrogers8866 no problem, there are videos on youtube explaining how to set it up and going through the latest mods. You can do true widescreen now, HD graphics, 60 fps, ambient noise and shadows, new character models that look like the original nomura concept art, and have analog controller support for movement. Then the new threat 2.0 revamps the ENTIRE itemization and magic system with new mechanics, items, spells, gear, enemies and bosses. Each character also has an innate ability and secondary leveling system for stats in order to specialize them. Im telling you its great. There's also an Echo-S mod that voice acts the entire game. You cannot use the new threat mod with this one, but you can use all the visual enhancements. Enjoy!

This is my favorite thing AI has ever created. My favorite FF game brought to this kind of life would be a dream come true. Hell I’d be happy if could at least get an anime show with ten episodes with this right here.

@@Yohan0xx Nah. FF6 is definitely one of the most requested, and Square said that it's very possible but that would take them more than a decade of planning and development just like how it was for FF7R.
I stared in raptured awe at what was on screen then showed it to my wife in glee only to be deflated when she had no reaction and said that the music didn't match what was on screen... because she never played the game. But her minor error aside, it is truly glorious.
It's my favorite game of all time, but I pray that Squeenix just forgets about it and never touches it again. They'd turn the game into a multi-part cash cow fiasco like they did to FFVII and prey on everyone's nostalgia for greed. The company hasn't been legendary in over 20 years, and modern-day Squeenix can't be relied upon to handle this game in a responsible way. People like to throw the word masterpiece around liberally, but this game is one of the very few in history that's ever earned the title, and it deserves more than the company can give.

@@blackjaguar324 Yeah zero creativity on the AI. That's not Setzer that's much closer to Sephiroth. Sometimes the AI impresses, sometimes it completely whiffs and turns Setzer into Sephiroth.
@@blackjaguar324 Sephiroth is a re-design of Setzer 😂Setzer was thought to be the bad guy at first. A traitor. But, in the end, Square recycled that role for Sephiroth and kept Setzer's look for him. They just modifyed his clothes and hairstyle a bit. I played FF6 before FF7 and always thought "why does Sephiroth looks like a copy of Setzer". Until I found the reason why xD.
Setzer has numerous facial scars, something that Sephiroth has none. Character wise one is a romantic and the other is a cloned psychopath, so what did they copy? White hair? They have like 50 of those.

Forget about game programming, which is a different beast; but this shows that well-guided AI might disrupt the entirr animation business. Milllions will lose their jobs.

I have seen FF6 top the list on not just the best Final Fantasy game, not just best JRPG, not just best RPG, but top the list of the greatest video game, in any genre, and of all time. It's definitely my favorite Final Fantasy and this video was PERFECT. Those AI generated images absolutely nailed it.
The only downside to this video is that we didn't see Sabin suplexing a train

FFX could have been a true masterpiece if not for some glaring flaws, like grindy optional content and poor voice direction.

Technically FFI,II, III and IV have their definitive remakes (on the PSP and DS no less). What we are missing is some quality V and VI remakes, be it 2D HD or 3D.

Because everyone keeps saying how 7 was the best when honestly sephiroth had weak priorities. Other villains focused on destroying dimensions and practically all of existence. But he just wanted to destroy the world.

Back in January, it didn't actually bother me when director Yoshinori Kitase announced a FFVI Remake was unlikely, since it would take 20 years to make. That was to be expected for FFVI - and, to some extent, Chrono Trigger as well.
But now, having watched this trailer, I realise just what we might be missing. It's like never having had any children, but at the same time seeing what each of them would have become. Such a bittersweet feeling…

I wish I could go back and play this for the first time. I was nine the year this game released and got it for Christmas from my grandparents who had no idea what they had done. It took me about three years to beat this game because I was young and got lost often. No internet and no strategy guide. Stumbling upon the Ancient Castle and getting rocked by Samurai Soul…oh the nostalgia.
I am willing to wait 20, 30, 40, 50 years for the remake.

I suppose we could send a group of students to be trained by twelve different artists and graphic designers and then thirty years later those students would be able to match this trailer. or we could spend a few weeks letting a program analyze millions of images and get a similar result. See the problem? Humans learn slow and machines learn super fast.

Hell, there's probably an actual fart machine out there so my farts aren't even that special. It sounds inefficient to train humans or expect humans to be capable of art, since it's all subjective anyways. Guess what? Art isn't special and the 'talent' artists have is replaceable and emulatable. Regardless of how you feel those are the facts. People are making millions off splashes of paint a toddler could make, Art isn't prestigious. It's a shiny coin and all the people into it are fuckin raccoons that have no choice but to succumb to instinct and grope at it all.
Get a better hobby. I'm a fire performer, and I'd cheer on a machine that was made to twirl and spin fire better than I ever could. I would still spin fire for myself because I do it for fun. I'd only be minorly affected that a machine does what I can better. Artists and performers need to get over their disgusting bloated egos and realize their talents are subjective and not as unique as they'd have you believe.

FFVI is my favorite Final Fantasy and I have been wishing for a proper remake instead of another port for at least a decade. This gives me goosebumps. Kefka had far greater depth than Sephiroth as a villain. FF7 was a great game, and I'm enjoying the remake and it's tweaks to the story. MAN I wish this was real!

Ff6 deserves the ff7 remake treatment. I dont know if it could even be pulled off with how massive it would be. It could still all be turn based but this fidelity and atmosphere shown here is epic and awesome. Would love it.
Call me old-fashioned but I preferred them turn based. Never got used to the new system...
@@johnnyrogers8866 i love the new hybrid system in Remake and Rebirth. If you want a fresh replay of OG ff7 i HIGHLY recommend modding the PC version with the new threat 2.0 mod and updating all of the visuals. It makes the game an 11/10.

@@johnnyrogers8866 no problem, there are videos on youtube explaining how to set it up and going through the latest mods.
You can do true widescreen now, HD graphics, 60 fps, ambient noise and shadows, new character models that look like the original nomura concept art, and have analog controller support for movement. Then the new threat 2.0 revamps the ENTIRE itemization and magic system with new mechanics, items, spells, gear, enemies and bosses. Each character also has an innate ability and secondary leveling system for stats in order to specialize them.
Im telling you its great.
There's also an Echo-S mod that voice acts the entire game. You cannot use the new threat mod with this one, but you can use all the visual enhancements.

Incredible. If I may say so, I think a good shot would have been when Celes was alone on the island beach, either full of despair believing the world had ended, or finding the bandana tied to the bird, believing there might still be hope.

@@gringles That's his best friend Daryll. But the AI messed up a bit there. Daryll had blonde, long hair. She was modelled after and is based off Amelia Earhart, the first woman who flied around the world in an airplane.

Nah. FF6 is definitely one of the most requested, and Square said that it's very possible but that would take them more than a decade of planning and development just like how it was for FF7R.
I stared in raptured awe at what was on screen then showed it to my wife in glee only to be deflated when she had no reaction and said that the music didn't match what was on screen... because she never played the game.
But her minor error aside, it is truly glorious.
It's my favorite game of all time, but I pray that Squeenix just forgets about it and never touches it again.
They'd turn the game into a multi-part cash cow fiasco like they did to FFVII and prey on everyone's nostalgia for greed.
The company hasn't been legendary in over 20 years, and modern-day Squeenix can't be relied upon to handle this game in a responsible way.
People like to throw the word masterpiece around liberally, but this game is one of the very few in history that's ever earned the title, and it deserves more than the company can give.

@@blackjaguar324 Yeah zero creativity on the AI. That's not Setzer that's much closer to Sephiroth. Sometimes the AI impresses, sometimes it completely whiffs and turns Setzer into Sephiroth.
@@blackjaguar324 Sephiroth is a re-design of Setzer 😂Setzer was thought to be the bad guy at first. A traitor. But, in the end, Square recycled that role for Sephiroth and kept Setzer's look for him. They just modifyed his clothes and hairstyle a bit.
I played FF6 before FF7 and always thought "why does Sephiroth looks like a copy of Setzer". Until I found the reason why xD.
Setzer has numerous facial scars, something that Sephiroth has none. Character wise one is a romantic and the other is a cloned psychopath, so what did they copy? White hair? They have like 50 of those.
@@rydiavalentine That makes sense. You can always find threads of previous games in their immediate successor if you dig deep enough. Whether it be an echo of a character design or the harmony of a previous song (The Harmony of the Aria and Aerith's theme).

people love to trash on AI, but without AI we would've never seen this. we would've never seen just how BEAUTIFUL this looks. because there's no guarentee square enix will ever make a remake out of this masterpiece, even though the fans have been begging for YEARS

I have seen FF6 top the list on not just the best Final Fantasy game, not just best JRPG, not just best RPG, but top the list of the greatest video game, in any genre, and of all time. It's definitely my favorite Final Fantasy and this video was PERFECT. Those AI generated images absolutely nailed it.
If Squenix actually did this, I'd be all over it. Great work, but for now, we can only dream and be satisfied with the Pixel Remaster.
I think it's time they give us a damn good final fantasy animated movie series. They could turn FF6 into two movies or one stupidly long movie
