Broken shock bolts BEST DIY fix

This is a how to on how to DIY fix your broken upper shock mount bolt on your jeep or any other vehicle with broken shock mount bolts. This method is new, original and not the same as anyone else's on youtube. With my method you can easily replace your shocks with normal tools and very little money.

i bought the rough country flag nut inserts. Could i just take like a half inch drill bit and drill out two bigger holes in the spots of the original ones? and just fish the inserts over the top? i'm a college student working in a storage facility with no real access to tools

You could have pounded out the stripped bolt and nut and done the same thing. I just had this problem and so far it's working. Those nuts are poorly welded in and come out with little effort

depends on the state and the inspector... I don't see many catching that in the states I have been in...
