Thankyou so much for the info, Ive got the same problem , but instead im thinking of drilling through the snapped bolt from underneath through to the boot and replacing it with a more thicker and stronger high tensile bolt that will fit the mount and seat it with a thick washer with rubber and hope it makes more accessible and easier works for future maintanence if it snaps again

You are awesome this work, so well I went and bought the Milwaukee cordless cutting tool, and I had the job done in less than 10 minutes

Is it imperative that the bolt gets welded in place? I don’t have access to a welder are there any other options?

welding it is the best way to make sure it doesn't vibrate loose, but you can just drop it in and tighten and it will work i would use a lock washer under the head of the bolt to help it not vibrate loose

Thanks for your reply. I might use a lock washer and JB weld combo. Did you have to cut the welds or the head of the bolt off to be able to knock it out with the hammer?

Hey brother sorry I just saw this my dad bought the welder used from a friend It take a flux core 0.030 wire it runs pretty good I’ve had good luck with it for what it is wouldn’t weld over 3/16 with it since its only a 110

Did you have too use heat on the bolt, before hitting it with the hammer?, as I'm in the same situation..

I have the same problem but I don't have a welder or access to one. Do you think washers/lock washers combination would be enough? I don't think so but don't know what else to do

They will. The torque spec is not high on these bolts

Have somebody hold the bolt on top with a wrench while you tighten the mount

How did you go? Did you go with lock washers? If so, would you mind explaining that set up I’m in the same boat as you and I don’t have access to a welder and I know nothing about lock washers
