i heard the reason why we get depressed is because our bodies and minds weren't meant to cope with the sedentary lifestyle. Back in the caveman days, humans were always on the go, fighting for survival and hunting and gathering and dancing. but as technology and civilizations advanced, we became more luxurious and lazy. and as a result, we spend less time being active and more time allowing negative thoughts to enter our brains. and thats where mental illness occurs.
thanks for making these videos. they're very helpful with my personal journey.

Charles Moss That might be partly true but I’ve dealt with severe depression and I intensely exercise at least 2 hours a day 5 days a week and am very very active yet I’ve still dealt with depression
But I will say that I was most depressed when I broke my ankle and couldn’t exercise

my lower back hurts,I lift with 10 pound dumbbells should I reduce it or just do specific work outs with weights,If I don't do squats that's when my back hurt I guess because I've been working out with weights for 3 months everyday 30 minutes a day,if I try to skip a day the pain is intense, all the doctor gave me was Percocet and it just make me high any advice please....help,google can't even give me advice on this!

+Mysterious woman use weight lifting belt to protect your spinal, pelvic and internal organs. taking multivite tablet once daily will support your body and increase your immune level. b complex is highly recommended. it will boost body energy and also good for mental health. whey protein will help to recover and increase muscle size. may be your body tired and not ready to workout or weight lifting. stop weight lifting and go for jogging or aerobic for a couple of days. give rest to your muscles. after that you may start your weight lifting exercise again. mentally and physically tiredness also can cause low back pain. (early stage for depression). and weight lifting exercise or any other exercise will produce endomorphin chemical for well being feeling and also will produce a good nite sleep. dont stop workout. keep going. all the best to you.

you can address your lower back pain with stretches for your back. cut back on daily weight training to three days per week. on the days between lifting you can walk or cycle and stretch your muscles. follow the comments by Perumal Thanapal. you can use You Tube to get advice on a basic physical training program that will be help you train efficiently for health and fitness. good luck.

This is true. I once worked out like a maniac for 2 weeks straight and I felt on top of the world. The only problem is that it's really hard to maintain that level of activity because especially when you feel great, you start becoming really indifferent.

Your voice is perfectly fine! And thank you for making this video.. It's great knowledge, and those who follow the advice will experience a great result. I began working as an illustrator, which requires sitting on a chair all day, and feel like I'm beginning to get depressed (which has never happened before), anxious, nervous, frustrated and irritable.. so I'm saving up and getting a good treadmill ASAP. There is really no way to feel happy and relaxed than by releasing all of this trapped physical energy by exercise. Only then can you feel at peace mentally.. not only that, but be physically fit! It's a win-win and a great investment.. if anyone feels the same way... invest in exercise!

This is fantastic. Clear concise and funny. Start slowly. 5 min walk. I started with 5 min, didn't want to overload myself, because that would depress me more. If you have problems with you memory make notes on your phone. I hate exercising, although I know without it I am so ansy and depressed. Take your time one step is better than none. +TTate I know, I came off a bit too harsh, but it just amazes me how much of modern sciences advice to people is a circle jerk of what has been fundamentally true for humans since the dawn of time. Do you know what I mean?
Think about it: Our ancestors ate well (variety of heathy foods), lifted heavy things, ran a lot, had a vibrant social community, were in the sun (vitamin D fights depression!), and didn't really stress and worry about shit in the future.
It just blows me away when I look at the rates of depression, anxiety, and suicide. And... I don't blame people. Something feels missing. Look at places like New York, LA, or Chicago. Millions of fellow beings walking by each other like complete strangers. It's lonely!
Parents, teachers, counsellors, and peers bombarding us with the message that we have to forgo the things that make us human for some far out objective.
I was a bit hurtful before, but hopefully you get my point, and realize to take it easy sometimes.

I really like the video. Very informative, entertaining, and educational. I thought the graphic renderings were simple and very effective. They allow the viewer to be entertained while not being a distraction to the message. The voice(s) . . . Im half way through the video. About to complete it shortly. Well, hygiene and smelling good is damn important... so after u go gym, u can shower. Outdoor run is fun too especially with beautiful sceneries but if there is no place to shower after a workout, I have to admit that sucks. Same goes to social dance... if no place to shower after u dance with perspiration all over... (maybe can limit the dance if no chance to shower)... After a swim at the pool, can shower too... Not an issue in fact regarding hygiene and smelling good after workout...

another reason is because on the very old day, we move more, we use our time on physical, but when we advance, our life make us sit more than we move, and techonily is taking over our time, tencholigy is getting more serious, the advance make us relaxed, when our body was made for physical.

Usually, all those studies were focused on long term exercise (4-6 weeks for mice) and neural function. for example, reduce anxiety. However, I dont think that short term exercise will make much of differences. Some people will argue that brain and neurons are plasticity. I just dont think it will react that fast.

So, thank the person for the flattery and compliments and just graciously say you're not interested and are going to pass. No need to lie and say you have a boyfriend or be explicit and say that it's because you think they're ugly. Hopefully, they'll respect your answer the first time. If they don't, you'll definitely know you're better off not dating them.

I jog to increase my oxygen capacity for my brain can interpret more blood to it at once and which leads to quicker thinking and plus you can last forever in fights yayy

Aaaargh, I barely got through week of medititation. Now I tend to shut down during my lunch break without any prior warning, people at work are starting to give me looks. I don't see how jumping around will help my situation, I really think I'm weird enough witout this one :)
