One tip from my learning for the exams - make the run a reward for learning. It is unbelievable how it tricks your mind! Earlier a run was "necessary evil" for me and I went 1x in 2 weeks. While learning I just simply changed the mindset from a "punishment" to a "reward". I swear I go running every single day since. Plus the benefit for learning! I finished with excellent grades and I keep running switching to trail running at the moment! :)

I grew up in Switzerland and we always had lots of different exercises to do. No fat kids ever - and still now they keep slim. Healthy eating habits is what you learn in Switzerland at home and school. I am forever learning and no take away at my house. Only home cooking. I feel good, happy and enjoy new experiences. Greetings from Australia 🇦🇺 😊👍

Hi Giri Varshiniachar. I started my walking November of 2018. Prior to that, for around 2 to 3 years I have already been going on a one full meal and one or two snacks per day but all those times, every time I look in the mirror I don't see me getting smaller. When I started to walk in the manner I did and after just a couple of months, I started to notice my clothes were getting loose. Then, I realized that when you go on just plain diet, we may be losing weight but our bodies do not actually shrink on its own. From this time, the motivation to continue with both the diet and walking was getting more and more encouraging for me.

At one time, I believed that the "sports jocks" were brain dead. A physical impairment kept me from high school phys-ed. Hence, I devoted my energy to mental efforts, at the expense of physical strength. Yet, my mental abilities were around average. But one must weigh that with the mostly innocuous crap taught in public schools that one will seldom, if ever use. Despite 12 years of public schooling, I still have a mind. I spent most of the past 40 years reading, instead of regular exercise. This time was not totally devoid of physical activities as I build my home, remodeled other homes, and got into vehicle restoration. So, at age 75, I began a vigorous physical exercise program that I've stuck to for over 1 year.
I've learned that the brain, like the muscles, grows and makes new connections when studying and trying to solve problems.
From "Mindset" --Dr. Carol Dweck, page 219:
"When they do think about what intelligence is, many people believe that a person is born either smart, average, or dumb; and stay that way for life. But new research shows that the brain is more like a muscle--it changes and gets stronger when you use it. And scientists have been able to show just how the brain grows, and gets stronger when you learn".

The hippocampus is also the place where you innately formulate your position in society’s hierarchy. Evolutionarily one of the oldest, thus, most developed/perfected parts of the brain. Makes sense it would grow with exercise.

It also helps on productivity, focus, and motivation. When I work out in the morning, my work day is more productive and successful. :)

Looks like boxing or kickboxing would be really good.
    1. There is something ACTUALLY threatening you (fists, shins, heals)
    2. Heart rate raises quickly and highly
    3. It gets your heart pumping

Could also be that individuals who have more discipline will do better in both physical and mental activities. It takes a lot of discipline to workout hard like you do in school sports.

@@selohcin what kind of dance ? In 2016 Wendy Suzuki, "how body affects brain" that can show the pathway of the explanation about how the feedback between muscle and brain works. The CTBS released from skeletal muscles can passes the blood-brain barrier and increase fuctions on hippocampus. to answer that question we need to think what type of exercise recruit more muscles. How many types of dance are there in the world ? Some types of dance are more intense than mms fight ! think about it. I hope this helps. =D
