This band is musically way more interesting than anything people are comparing them to. I'm hearing djent, shoegaze, post-grunge, dembow, alt metal, indstrial, post hardcore, and progressive metalcore all in this one track (throw songs like White Hot in the mix and you can add r&b to that list). I love Deftones, but calling this band another Deftones is an injustice. You can't put Loathe in a box.

As a drummer of 20 years, 5 months and 3 days- not that I’m counting, but this drummer is a fucking gift to rock music, metal, and the drumming community itself.

Really cool.
2:28 moments like these are why, as unlikely as it'd be, i wanna see them drop all the stems for this album, there's so much going on at one moment and being able to dissect a song like this or heavy is the head would be fun and interesting to see everything that each song entails

Some of those digital effects make the music feel like it is getting hammered down and manhandled against its will, feeling very aggressive while not going over that fine line into making music too obscure to be discernible. That’s very hard to do and it feels so right with this track. I’m officially hooked onto this band and can’t wait for new material, like holy shit I’m pumped🤘
