The door is open
Now I’m running away
Comfort waits where I will seek
How to free a light for weeks
Can you see me now?
I’ve fallen near the end
Can you see me now?
You hold the end
Succumb to shock and fear
To a damned climate drawing near
Extending shadows that grip your mind
To whisper it’s doubt like one of a kind
One of a kind
Culture in jeopardy
A line drawn and feathering
Cut and spread
Force-feed the false ego
As you philosophize an enemy
Hallucinations dissolve into the floor
There’s no meaning anymore
I see
You are
“Reading my mind back to me
It’s clear you are here
Whilst sharing the same air
I can disappear”

That breakdown at 2:43! Those soul crushing lows and ominous keys. It makes me feel like I'm drifting out into space in a dead ship, watching silent explosions bloom in the dark abyss as I drift slowly into silence and am forgotten
You should listen to Uneven Structures Februus ;)
@@ResurrectTheFlesh ikr, such a similar vibe. Not as low and “thallish” as this tho ;)
This part of the comment section is a meme
3:39 this part literally almost made me fall asleep driving to work this morning. Not because it's boring, but because I was so entranced. The vocals, the drum groove, amazing stuff
Man, you listen to Loathe in the MORNING?? You genuinely terrify me.
@@Driddy that's when I drive my car, when would be a better opportunity?
@@drumsno Idk man, just listening to such great music so early in the morning is new to me
@@Driddy you're the odd one

This album is the best thing I’ve ever listened too in a long whileeee
Hell yea brothrrrr

You’re joking?
@@jasong6967 he's just deaf

This song has been hitting me differently each listen, it is unreal. The ending is so haunting
The emotion is so powerful in the ending. Sounds like saying goodbye to everyone and everything
@@deadspacedeath54 my feelings exactly. Bliss.
This track is literal perfection.
Getting severe silent hill vibes from the album and I'm LOVING it.
Silent Hill metal FTW!
Have you listened Night Verses's 'Into The Vanishing Light' album? They have some SH good vibes too.
Domenick boucher I got outlast vibes from it but basically the same thing haha they are both horror games
Me too!
SAME OMGGG
The bit where Vincente screams culture in jeopardy just gives me chills
1:26 - 1:55 is so fucking mean and sick why is it played only that short time!? I WANT MORE OF THIS
Probably my favourite part of the entire album, such a cataclysmic drop
Also like this part
Dynamics dawgy
@@jacobhiers well yeah after several octillion listens i got that too, but it hits so hard the first time you just want it to last longer to immerse yourself in it and just keep headbanging
Gotta pay for those sick bass lines n axe efx. I live in the sewer. It’s cool tho.
Thought this album couldn’t get any better then they bring out Vincente shiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiii
12/10
I’ve never heard of that guy, outside of this song at least. What band is he from?
Torque Bow Darke Complex
Torque Bow He did vocals for Widow/Darke Complex. The Widow EP is cream of the crop if you like anything from Chugcore or a similar sound to Sworn In/VCTMS/Yuth Forever/Spite. Listen to Darke Complex - Slime and then the whole ep if you take a liking to that song.
I’ve listened to this album front to back, like, 20 times since it’s come out. I love this. All of it. If this album was a drug, I would be addicted. I NEED IT.
I mean music IS addicting. It releases the same chemicals in your brain that a drug releases. And people have become addicted to music. Sounds like you are one of them people lol
Radiohead Smashing Pumpkins Deftones Slipknot, this is EXACTLY what i’ve been looking for.
Album of the year candidate no doubt about it.
🔥🖤🔥
Super facts
Literal Masterpiece, no other way to put it, this song is at the top of my playlist for a reason
what a closer. leave it loathe to incorporate all the elements they used during the record and pour them into one cohesive track that represents everything they're about.
everyone - meet my new favourite band
I can’t describe how hauntingly beautiful 4:37 is, sounds like I’m floating in space it’s so amazing
When that dissonant chord happened on Shadows it made my skin crawl. What a work of art. Best metal I've heard in a long time. Thank you for not succumbing to the oversaturated sounds. Respect
1:55 That sound is so harsh and dense...I could imagine what would happens at fan zone in that moment. I think it would be insane.
Best song on the album and one of the best in the genre. absolute masterpiece
AHHHYGGHHHHH this song is literally perfection
This is song is as if Glassjaw, Deftones and Meshuggah got merged and this is their love child.
Honestly this album is the best album I’ve heard in the fattest minute every. Single. Song. Perfect 👍🏻 perfectly composed perfectly produced just perfect!
I connect with this album on a deep emotional level. I've also let it in and it took everything from me too
This song slaps the whole album start to finish is absolutely amazing
this stuff gives me the feels man.
Everyone talks about them sounding like deftones but that riff at 2:45 be hella reminding me of meshuggah especially something similar to the violent sleep of reason album. Fantastic work! They’re a little bit all over the place, but they’re good at all of it, they’re just in the stage of finding their sound
I am absolutely mesmerized by this song... simply cannot stop hearing it all the time
GROOVI AS FVK
Just like Meshuggah, especially with the ambient lead guitars at 2:42.
Also, the main groove sounds like Break Those Bones Whose Sinews Gave It Motion.
Love how diverse and just fucken amazing this album is!!!
It’s an absolute Gem!!! ❤️😎🤘🏿
Loathe As One.
That build up is good shit. That's the real shit. How will this album change with multiple listens?
2:42 is what I hear in my mind during near catatonic states of dispair...
My two favorite artist on one track 🔥🔥🔥
You know what, this album could be a perfect soundtrack for the upcoming 'BACKROOMS' film.
SHOUTOUT!!!
Yes it should. Let's see if we can pull a 1M+ hitout of this everybody!
Thank you Nick Nocturnal. Ever since djenty metalcore / deathcore started breaking new waves of modern metal, I’ve always thought that there should be a band out there with strong Deftones vibes in as well. Hence the day I found you guys after many many years of wanting for it happen.
There’s a ton of them. Literally hundreds of bands doing this now. Deftones influence can be heard in metalcore, Deathcore, post hardcore, Grungegaze, shoegaze, electronic, it’s even bleeding into the new wave of emo rappers. It’s pretty amazing stuff
i never knew vincente void was in this song
"I see, you are"....essa parte acaba cmg, que som foda
3:10 Trance inducing
Goddamn this shit CHUGS
Love.
Damn Vincente Void is on this track
How this has 71k views surprises me! This is good music!
Two years ago today!
Pass it on!
the part at 3:38 is awesome holy
Reminds me of deftones.
Wow u guys are something else on other level🖤🔥🔥🔥🔥
dank...
This shit is tasty af
🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥
me too dude
this is fucking awesome
If deftones covered a Loathe song, would anyone know the difference?
I feel like this might be the direction Stephen Carpenter wanted to steer the band in, considering he's into stuff like this
And his tuning is going down
Chino doesn’t have the ability to hit screams like this, and sorry Stephen wouldn’t be able to groove at this pace
@@thelastsith2706 Go listen to Head Up and tell me that. Seriously though, maybe not anymore but in their hay day, no problem.
Steve James 0188 headup the same as this? Dude, what are you smoking.
From all the years I’ve been listening to Deftones, early tracks like this didn’t have as much of Stephen doing chug grooves. Still grooved but not in the same way, plus the vocals and way they are done are different even down to the pattern.
Big influence for sure, especially with their guitarist Erik, I mean they’ve stated it for the past 3-4 years in interviews.
I really don’t think they sound crazy similar like everyone is hopping in. But oh well, sure man. If ya say so
sid maybe now yes, but not like back in the day like the buffoon OP is saying. I can hear their similarities with stuff from Saturday Night Wrists, Koi No Yokan, and Gore. So yeah
woa wait this is really good
Shit this is so fucking good
2:42
anyone know whose quote the last part of the lyrics is taken from?
It may just be me, but I think the vocals should have been mixed a little higher
this album tho. 😭
frank ocean brought you here huh
yeah
Similar bands? Please. 🥺🥺🥺
This is what happens when a metal band listens The Caretaker
having vincente as a feature on this is so fucking based i dont thnik anyones talking about that enough
FRANK OCEAN
"I let her in and she took everything"
Deftones? Never heard of her
Deftones. That's all
Okay. The ending is really good. However, the first part and middle need work. There is too much yelling and not enough melody. I enjoy the lack of female voices though. My friend Keke recommended this song and I would give it a 6.5/10.
“i enjoy the lack of female voices though” is really fuckin weird to add bro 😭
How
It doesn't sounds like deftones, it sounds like loathe ^^
it undeniably does sound *like* deftones, not in a bad way, but you can notice some similarities
I def/loathe this track
Will always hold a special place in my heart getting me through all hell glad I’m still hear to witness this tragic masterpiece

the Deftones you can't have sex to. It's a good thing.
Having sex to deftones is incredible tho
R.i.p someone wife
You could, but you may both have to go to the hospital afterwards.
Wrong dude//
Every music is good for sex , but not every sex is good for music...
What about with your hand
The entire ending of this song is probably some of the most haunting yet strangely beautiful pieces of music I've ever heard
Loathe just released their ''White Pony'', that's all
Every modern/great/innovative band will do that in the future, mark my words
Rafael Poubel Imagine if this was ”just” their Around The Fur and White Pony is up next.

FUCK YEAH
😯 DESOLATE
Ending this album with this song feels really sad. Because it comes after the beautiful ending of "A Sad Cartoon", where I imagine the protagonist finally made some progress dealing with their insecurity and depression. Only to go back to square one, as they let it in and *it* took everything.
The way "Gored" comes abruptly after "Is It Really You?" also conveys the same feeling. "Is It Really You?" was so beautiful and it was suddenly cut by "Gored", a song about helplessness. As if the protagonist was never allowed to catch a break.
Not the first album that I've heard to have a bad ending, but this one is quite special.
The growth in this band is unbelievable these lads have something special here.
It's criminal that this song only has 146k views. This should easily be a 1M+ video
respect bro
251k right now, but I believe this deserves millions ❤️
in the 80's and 90's songs used to hit 20 to 25 million copy's a artist. Today the best artists get barely a million while auto tune gets around 7 million in mainstream.
The brain only likes what it can understand, if you bring up a child with music you imprint music senses to a degree or factor. Thus the 234K listeners are more people of higher musical property's and their brains can follow and understand the music = The liking of music.... Have you ever listen to a meh song so much you started liking it? Same effect. Also children under 10 with musical practices have been found to have a bigger cortex in the brain by the age of 12 than most other kids, this allows one to use left or right side of the brain. This intimidates that music is good for educational skill development.
The Greek philosophers before the time of books had 4 core ideals. Science/Math to advance civilization, philosophy to guide community ideals, Music to recreate/meditate and understand, Astronomy to guide the way for man kind.
and today music is not enforced in schools which it should be, every child deserves the exposure to music from a young age it should be a curriculum in school not by choice but by demand.
Not all treasure deserve to be found by the common but only those who seek will see
i could write pages upon pages about how special this song is and how it makes me feel, but ill just highlight one part. 1:58-2:42 is the most gripping and emotionally charged riff i think ive ever heard. i replay this section of the song over and over again and my mind cannot get enough.
Worship as one
@@NomadNeoo worship
Unreal track, this song is unhealthy for me, makes me embrace some very, deep, dark feelings, spending hours upon hours listening to this in pitch black darkness.
I don’t know how to explain it, but “it took everything” and it feels like this song speaks to my brain in a way as letting me know I’ve taken enough mental trouncing, to just let it go before I go through anymore of it, I’d be happier that way, or something along those lines.
(I am not committing suicide, nor do I intend to do so, that is for my past to endure, right now I have the future and me to focus on, but these are just normal human thoughts.)
Edit: Simple typo.
Join the fucking club
Calm down. Geeze
@@renolee88 This was written in a very dark time in my life, fortunately things are better now
@@sparda_ Happy to hear that :)
Best song on the album. What an amazing song structure and flow. I love when it slowly starts getting into post rock territory around 2:42.
3:14 oh man, that make fall in love with music again
i almost got into a car accident listening to this song lol
The album “I let it in and it took everything”, is a compilation of stories, of “it” being let in and taking everything, wether it be death itself (heavy is the head), or being at the lowest point (red room), when I read “while sharing the same air I can dissapear”, or the repetitive lines “I see, you are”, and how the lyrics change from the first verse to the last verse, I think this song, being the album cover, is the true meaning of “letting it in and it took everything”, “I see you are” is acceptance, and “while sharing the same air I can disappear”, is it taking everything.
I enjoyed ur interpretation far more than their music. Go w/ God
i think its about sin.
I love this interpretation, man!
Thank you for this
Hold up, let me grab my binoculars so I can read the LYRICS
lol
Just read an article of bands that were influenced by the deftones (one of my favorite bands) and saw loathe. Just discovered them, yet cant stop listening.
Who else?
I fucking knew I was getting slight Deftones vibes. Please give me more bands, this ethereal type of music is what I live for. Deftones is my favourite band of all time.

It is one of the best things a human being could ever experience. Tears, this song is out of this world
2:40 to 3:40 makes me think of monstrocity of all things... what a brilliant song this is.
Same here, the jingling lead over the too is very similar. Either that or something off Koloss.

I love everything about this album but the more I read the lyrics I’m like what the fuck is going on. There’s a lot up for interpretation if anyone knows I’d appreciate
how do they just transition into that ending. i love it but like how ???
for some reason this song hits straight to the core
I love how you can hear the guitar riff at 1:35 playing quietly throughout the whole song, really makes me imagine it as a motif for *it*
This song exacted my soul from my body, and forced it to headbang in the night light
