I was born in ‘93, and I find myself missing this era so badly all the time lately. We made so many of our moms furious with this song on so many nights.
Its Saturday. November 21, 2020. I'm playing soccer with my 6 year old son. He beat me and said "Sorry you're not a winner Dad." I started to get light headed and had flashbacks of me and the boys playing this in my 1993 Chevy blazer... And now here I am at 32 re-living some of the greatest memories of my life🤘🏼
and everyone seemed to love eachother for being alt or in the scene. seemed to bring everyone together. here's to the kerbside hangouts and the skateboard sunsets
I wasn't even in my teens during the early and mid 2000's, but despite having very fond childhood memories from that era I still feel like I've missed something. I believe that would be growing up as a teenager from 2001 to 2009, the way people interacted, the lack of distractions, (smartphones) and the music scenes of that time made It seem like a very different reality. My teenage years weren't nearly as fun as people had It back then. It was a dull experience that sadly reflects the duller times we're living in. But like I said great childhood, I guess everything comes with a price.

I walked past the singer whilst listening to this song at the train station once, so I walked back to him, showed him my iPhone and said “is this you” and he said “ I’m afraid so” I didn’t even ask for a picture, I just said “ok” and walked away, it was a bit too surreal for my brain to handle.
I remember going to see them at a festival in Ireland in 2007 and it was in a tiny tent, they played at like 2pm during the day and there were maybe only 10 people in the tent watching them and they still gave the gig everything they had. The drummer got up on the speakers, fell off them and ripped his shorts on the way down, and continued playing with his bum cheeks hanging out. It was the best performance 14-year-old me had ever seen

Born in 1990, so the noughties were literally my teen years and it is absolutely surreal to see kids romanticise the time period. dude im baffled as to this common opinion, my buddy and i literally turn it off after the breakdown. the last thirty seconds is just DUR DUR DUR DUR, its so dissonant and crappy, we make fun of it like "who ok'd these fuckin shitty electro noises" I am shocked that people enjoy this (the last 30 seconds, not the song. song is iconic and prob a 10 of all time for me save for the weird ending). But im glad people do get to enjoy it, its exists lol, its art, i just personally find it really strange. after "goodbye, go home" the song should have ended imo
I was in a band in 2007, which was heavily inspired by Enter Shikari, and we so wanted to recreate this video. We did it in our singer's bedroom with a bunch of mates and it was the best. This song brings back so many memories.
you should post it. i dont even know the quality of your video, but it sounds nostalgic on principle, i'm sure lots of people would love it. ofc, unless if you want to keep it to yourself, which is fair.
They are still amazing to this day. Rou's screams and falsetto singing live after almost 20 years is phenomenal. I genuinely mean it when I say they are one of THE best live bands out there. Some have that extra factor live cause they're so well rehearsed (like Coheed and Cambria, Meshuggah, insert amazing on point live artist here)
Man, I used to blast this as a teenager, I eventually got to see Enter Shikari at a festival in Poland and it was one of the best concerts I've ever been to. I used to play drums back then, and I had a white wifebeater with "I prefer the drummer" text on it. I think after they closed the show Rou noticed me standing in the front row and got Rob's drumsticks and threw them into the crowd. Somehow I caught them and I still have them till this day lol. Such a cherry on top of an amazing experience. Ironically, everyone was chanting "sorry you're not" wanting to hear this banger live, but they never played it. The balls on these guys. Loved it anyway.
The Devil Wears Prada, Enter Shikari, Underoath, Bring Me The Horizon, Attack Attack!, Saosin, etc. Yes! The Metalcore and Deathcore scene in this era were in their *prime*.
Can’t believe I’ve only discovered this song after 12 years. I’ve never even heard it before but it feels familiar somehow. And despite never hearing it before, I feel nostalgic for something I don’t even know. That’s a powerful song. 20/10
비 P To be fair, this version is a bit different to the 2003 version because of the improvement in equipment, production and ability. The video was released in 2006 and hasn't be re-uploaded since. It's just there as it was when the video was recorded.
Yesterday we had a "Bring back 2007" party in Belgorod, Russia with local bands mix and they played a cover of this banger. 90% of people clapped, it was lit!
This songs hits so hard even after most of us aren't scene kids anymore... 27 million views for a 17 year old party in the front room of their parents house is proof of how much of a classic it already is
Funny story: in 8th grade we were asked to play our favorite track in school (music lessons) and I‘ve literally let the whole class (who were listening to Beyoncé, Justin Timberlake etc. then) listen to this 😅 they were shook af & I freakin enjoyed it! No fcks were given that day! Love that song ❤️

It's really cool how you have people from UK and USA vibing to similar memories with this song.
Don’t forget South Africa & Australia 🤘

And everywhere else my dude. The "scene" really brought everyone together in a way which nothing else has till date.
It’s metalcore-crabcore
Those vocals are so angelic
Glad you’re here
This song was ahead of its time. I'm a zoomer (well I'm 24) and the current "scene" is essentially mixing trance/techno with pop punk and metal. Enter Shikari were doing it 15 years earlier.
I'm 18 and I vibe to this certified good classic
That band remember me, the browning, actually almost the same thing, you should see them 8)
Attack Attack and Asking Alexandria were also one of the first bands who did it

Rip to my best friend Xan who loved this song, miss the hell out of him, he was so young in his early 30s. I get reminded of him with almost every song. Life can be so tough, but we have peace in Christ Jesus.

I remember listening to this on headphones and the 'what, what, what' switching between my ears. Man this whole song is genius.
you forgot the lyrics at the end:
BREE BREE BREE BREEEEEEEEE
😂
I've been singing the wrong lyrics for years. Good to know. Lmao
Just heard this in a speakeasy downtown in the middle of nowhere, nostalgia flooding back to my time in middle school... Time flys take care everyone of you, we get one round, make it worth it

i remember brother von doom, at the throne of judgement, embrace the end, as blood runs black, job for a cowboy and devil wears prada from around this time. great tunes, still blare them in my care disturbing pedestrians to this day. enjoy
I wish you were born or was 17 18 when this came out! Bro it was fucking magic mate
dude im baffled as to this common opinion, my buddy and i literally turn it off after the breakdown. the last thirty seconds is just DUR DUR DUR DUR, its so dissonant and crappy, we make fun of it like "who ok'd these fuckin shitty electro noises"
I am shocked that people enjoy this (the last 30 seconds, not the song. song is iconic and prob a 10 of all time for me save for the weird ending). But im glad people do get to enjoy it, its exists lol, its art, i just personally find it really strange. after "goodbye, go home" the song should have ended imo
I was 15 when this came out. Remember walking to school with this downloaded off limewire onto my mp3... ahh innocent times
The best of times ah limewire on my crappy mp3 and later my nano
The download kept failing because my mom kept getting phone calls. The whole experience greatly contributed to my general angst 😂
That’s crazy, I was 6 when this came out and years I remember going to elementary school with this downloaded on my iPod from limewire
Fuckin limewire...lol different times.
Limewire! Having the odd random artist creep in separate to what your looking for =)
I miss this. It was so raw and honest and yet made me feel safe. This kind of music must never die.
I was in a band in 2007, which was heavily inspired by Enter Shikari, and we so wanted to recreate this video. We did it in our singer's bedroom with a bunch of mates and it was the best. This song brings back so many memories.
What was the band called and does this video still exist because I'd legit like to see it
So, what's the band's name? Is the music video viewable anywhere?
you should post it. i dont even know the quality of your video, but it sounds nostalgic on principle, i'm sure lots of people would love it. ofc, unless if you want to keep it to yourself, which is fair.
I’m 30 now and I still want this to be my house.

They are still amazing to this day. Rou's screams and falsetto singing live after almost 20 years is phenomenal. I genuinely mean it when I say they are one of THE best live bands out there. Some have that extra factor live cause they're so well rehearsed (like Coheed and Cambria, Meshuggah, insert amazing on point live artist here)
Best Enter Shikari video, hands down
Legend Says the Guy in the green shirt is still in Chris' living room flailing to this song.
This is so crazy! Just woke up from a dream about the old days, where this song was playing. Had to come here and watch it again!
3:30 am here btw
So simple yet one on the most epic and legendary music videos of all time.
I want society to go back to this music scene so badly.
It is, it's at dubstep and DnB shows. We just dropped the metal part of it
Metal's the best part tho...
Fuck no deathcore and metalcore are the shit. Not this
WhiteBoyWithAnIpod those would be included in this would come back.
The Devil Wears Prada, Enter Shikari, Underoath, Bring Me The Horizon, Attack Attack!, Saosin, etc.
Yes! The Metalcore and Deathcore scene in this era were in their *prime*.

Wow, I can't believe it's been 8 years since this tune was released. I remember being in school jamming to this.
Yeah, 8 years ago.
Oh I get you, you mean from the EP? I wasn't completely aware of the EP because when I first heard this, it was in 2006. My mistake.
Yeah, I completely forgot about the EP when I wrote that comment and just thought of when Take to the Skies was released lol!
비 P To be fair, this version is a bit different to the 2003 version because of the improvement in equipment, production and ability. The video was released in 2006 and hasn't be re-uploaded since. It's just there as it was when the video was recorded.
