Hatred echoes through thin walls
A cry for help becomes a cry for war
Follow directions drew
Through fear I move around you
Bearing a weight that suffocates too
Grow beyond amongst the few
You’ll suffocate too
A cold soul seeking warmth
We tremble when you’re near
Caught in-between love and fear
Deliver her new face
The former erased
A cold soul seeking warmth
Sunken, new faces in the dark
You’ve spit your poison
Beat me through the ground
Condemned by your own torment
By your own torrent
When faces change you call our names
Freeze
Second frame
It starts again
When faces change you call our names
Collapsing all the same
It starts again

If Loathe did a tour in the U.S. with Sleep Token I would do unspeakable things to go to that concert.
Add Northlane to that
Jordan Martinez Hell yes!
they might be announcing a tour like that pretty soon...you didn't hear it from me tho..
loathe, sleep token and lotus eater... perfect tour right out of uk right there
...and people would probably die. Just saying...
1:39
the voices of kadeem and the atmospheres in this part are majestic
Holy shit that ending destroyed me
Nik Nocturnal... I actually heard these guys for the first time thanks to you! And that snare flam crescendo at 00:57 into the pre chorus type thing is what got me. Inventive and enthralling. Refreshing. Thanks, brother!
That ending made me wanna jump into a pool of shattered glasses, naked.
"uh" - Nik Nocturnal
Anything destroys you deprived critin
Hi Nik
This band is going places and will change metalcore
I've been listening to bands mix screaming/heavy with clean melodic instruments/vocals for at least 25 years, and I've never heard it so masterfully executed as 0:57-2:02 on this track. That filthy riff that starts the section, the single bar of palm muting and ride cymbal, the guitar arpeggios and DAT BASS that complement the clean vocal melody, the Kadeem vocal ad-lib @ 1:44, the ahh harmonies under the screaming, the clean vocalist starts screaming too. Amazing stuff.
thank you spotify for recommending me this band, it's one of my top favorites of all time now.
Saw these guys opening for Underoath abiut 2 yrs ago. They went hard asf. Im glad I got the chance to see them
Hell yeah I saw them opening for Knocked Loose earlier this year. They kick ass!
Can't believe it's been 4 years
Good......I LIKE.
love them
Man that ending reminded me of Danza in its own unique way. awesome
Woah
this band feels like if deftones and norma jean had a child.
Gah, who really cares how they do it. Just appreciate it! this is a diamond that is set in stone
these guys are basically reinventing music
like until I found Loathe, I never thought that "heavy" or whatever you guys call it, could sound so damn beautiful...
@no one cares
how the fuck did i miss this? amazing as usual
Wow
The best
phos
anyone who thinks this is reinventing metal, is probably 20 something years old or younger.
Ok boomer
A tour with Deftones and Loathe would be absolute fucking chaos
Or Loathe W/ Northlane
1:17 went full Chino. Never go full Chino. Now I cant stop listening.
Weezypillar deadass!
Got any recommendations? This is my favorite moment in the song.
@@BigYoof I mean the closest thing I can compare it to lyrically and instrumentally is Deftones so Rosemary, Sextape and 976-EVIL imho
@@BigYoof Entombed, cherry waves
@@BigYoof aggressive evolution is it really you heavy is the head
I kinda like how Loathe is just like, "fuck sounding natural, let's put all the distortion on all the layers, and then fuck with it beyond belief" and in a funny way, it turns natural emotion and energy into this beautiful impressionist-style of those concepts.
It's never halfway with these guys, they go fucking nuts and it's so unapologetic.
If you haven't yet, check out the instrumental version of "I let it in" you'll notice even the most beautiful and mellow songs on the album have this crazy complexity running through them.
Someone deconstructed metalcore and put it back together wrong.
And I'm here for it.
that is a PERFECT description for this holy fuck, it's the same w converge
is the bass string even attached
Bass string has E.D.
they actually tune the bass to E standard
@@MBIRTIRoma wait what? The E on the bass is the same as the low E on the guitar then?
@@ImmovablePants2 no bass is standard E guitar is baritone E
@@ImmovablePants2 That's exactly what it is mate, the slight difference you get in the sound is just a frequency thing, but technically that's the same note
literally the fattest two step ever written
Haha underrated as fuck
2:26 imagine that part inside a arena🔥🔥🔥
There isn't a venue on earth that could survive that
The arena and everything within a few miles radius would collapse instantly
WWIII
I've been listening to rock/metal/all of the core genres, and I've never heard anything like this. I hope this is the future of metal.
This is two scoops of deftones with a little bit harder edge at the beginning, and then emmure/glass cloud at the end.
Checkout Varials last record and Vein debut, cool Nu-Metalcore
This is the future of music !
@@zaodriver so in other words, this is unique. Cause you can literally list any song from any band ever as being a combination of the sounds of multiple bands.
Listen to shoegaze, it’s the genre of the future!
Love it , from a Deftones fan this is pure heaven , an awakening.
Chino loves this band!
Deftones is my fav band of all time - I hate the blatant Deftones rip off parts of this band. I prefer originality
This is like Deftones meets Meshuggah kind of thing... weird for a first time hearing. I like both but I'm not sure about the combination...
@@maddo7192 yeah, I’m honestly not trying to hate. Makes me happy that the GOAT band to me is so alive and well, and their influence abundant. But … this seems a bit much. Like sound cosplay almost 😅 - I heard another song by them that was way more original and I dug it. This song sounds like a pure emulation and it bugs me out a bit. Just my opinion, zero hate to these guys, keep rocking and doing whatever makes them happy.
@@AMSQUIRELALONDE I love Deftones but I prefer this sound, I refer to them as Deftones but better. It's not demeaning but Deftones is now boomer metal to today's standards, just what they've put out recently doesn't compete anymore with the prog/alt and dreamo genre.
Will still listen to Deftones but Loathe sounds a lot more inspired than Ohms or Gored. Again no hate as I've got 2 Deftones tattoos but I prefer playing Loathe on guitar over playing the same riff a couple dozen times (ahem Stephen 👀)
Loathe hits different--- we loathe as one.
I'm quite sure that 1:15 onwards is one of the best moments in contemporary music
I'm quite sure that 0:00 onwards is one of the best moments in music, period.
@@mackalrath facts man
Don't get ahead of yourselves guys.
@@undefinedvariable8085 yeah I don't know why we have to label everything the greatest ever. Loathe is by far my favorite band but this "best ever" talk is just preference
1:17 to 1:35 is like a mix of Deftones and Akira Yamaoka and I’m here for it
It's funny because in the mix the sound that makes that eerie horror sound is titled "silent hill"
1:16 til this day this part give me chills 🥶🥶🥶
The perfect mix between Meshuggah and Deftones, like a perfect and exotic, like a dream come true for the lovers of both sides of rock&metal
Loathe and Sleep Token are reinventing music.
Totally the best two bands at the moment
Fax fax fax
Sleep Token are amazing. I hope more people listen to them.
Why and how...
WORSHIP
Loathe's videos are always incredible. Little did I know the man behind them, Zak Pinchin, is the vocalist of a band named Modern Error. Who are absolutely worth checking out.
Nick Najduk Modern Error are great, but I did not know this. Thanks for sharing!
Modern error deserve more recognition a label needs to pick them up ASAP. Zak is one of the best in the game for music videos clearly has a good eye for the art of it. His videos for modern error, loathe and lotus eater are incredible
Modern Error are awesome.
I love them so much , I didn’t notice until you mentioned it
Nick Najduk you are a saint for sharing this! Thank you! I gonna peep Modern Error right now
This is definitely the most unique kind of heaviness I've ever heard and I love it!
By no means the same music, but how much of Deftones' material have you listened to?
@@TheBIOSStar not much really. I've heard the butcher track and a few other singles
@@abhaykumarsingh7081 I just thought it would put that "unique kind of heaviness I've ever heard" into a bit of a perspective.
@@TheBIOSStar nah, you just made yourself sound like an ignorant elitist
@@paloozadroid4749 Please elaborate how pointing out that "most unique kind of heaviness" might be due to the fact that the listener hasn't listened to the (kinda obvious) inspirations for the sound they are going for here is elitist. I mean coherently.
Also, what is the element of ignorance here? What did I not consider? What is lacking in this?
It seems to me like you made yourself sound clueless and a tiny bit triggered. Do you maybe just not understand the words that you are using?
2:26 is the hardest shit I’ve ever heard
beat me through the ground. loathe is fucking untouchable
I've never seen a mosh pit that wasn't lame so, I doubt it.
lol try tony danza
@@fieur try Methwitch tho
@@thebassjasper thanks dude i checked them out. sadly im not so much into the grindy stuff
2:36 everytime i listen to this part i drop everything in my hands and scream BY YOUR OWN TORRENT. hehe
that line hits me so hard. This whole song is so heavy, musically and lyrically. one of the most vivid and visceral depictions of an abusive relationship that I've ever seen.
Bands like Loathe, Sleep Token, Conjurer, The Contortionist, Car Bomb, Lo!, Between The Buried and Me, Mouth of the Architect, Yob, Rivers of Nihil, etc., are reshaping music!!! This is coming from a professional musician, and lifelong Metalhead. 🤘🤘 Keep doing what you do, and taking chances to create something truly visceral, and from a deep place. That is what true art is! It should reflect the soul of the artist!! You’ve accomplished that, and I look forward to where the genre can go, and still maintain it’s spirit! Fuck yes, y’all! 🤘🤘🤘🤘
Check out Vein
Just discovered this band about a month ago. These guys are something unique. Absolutely killing it. Going to be real popular soon I'm thinking
2:26 is crowdkilling embodied in musical form
1:16-1:17 There is so much nostalgia, longing for something I've never had but feel like I have experienced it in some distant blurry past
The next album will be god tier
bob builder fuck yeah
it fucking is

Them and Vein are my two favorite as of currently
Damn what have i stumbled across!?
enjoy your stay.
greatness
Never seen a band follow an aesthetic/brand so fluidly and perfect. I fucking love Loathe.
Connor Sweeney & Kadeem sound so evil in the best way with their lines back to back
Is that Sweeney on the highs during the breakdown? Damn son
My faith in metal has finally been restored after years of trash...
can we all take a moment to appreciate the absolute raunchiness of the bass players tone
This band made me buy a Bass VI from this song alone. We can absolutely discuss how disgusting that tone is. Fn unreal
90s Deftones vibes🤙
0:59-1:12 I almost broke my neck
Somebody help
Old school Deftones vibes. How I'm a just stumbling across this band. Brilliant stuff!
The cleans remains of deftones. But awesome song
That bass tone is thicc
I cant not laugh at how badass this song is. Hilariously perfect
This is seriously fucking sick.
We tremble when you're near, caught in between love and fear... Holly shit I nearly cried reading the lyrics, ive listened to this song literally everyday for a year, and only read the lyrics now... gives it a whole new meaning for me other than just a masterpiece of a song, album for that matter
That’s geniusly 👏🏻It’s first time in my life when I wanna support band. Please continue in the same spirit.Your sound pulls the strings of the soul, with great love from Russia✌🏻
Best Loathe song to date 🤘🏻🤘🏻
one year later that's still the most chonky riff I've ever heard
I love the imagery & tone of this video.. Jesus, I never get enough of these guys
Gives me one of the vhs tapes from sinister vibes
@@deadspacedeath54 YES! Accurate Af!
Is this even legal?
Probably not
The intro reminded me of "Song Of Solomon" by Animals as Leader, and then BLAM! A distorted euphoria of heaviness. Keep it up, Loathe. 👍🏼
Liverpool Liverpool Liverpool
A cold soul seeking warmth
the transition at 1:15 is just gold
10 bucks to the one who can decipher the lyrics for the chorus
from what i saw, someone said "She will never learn. The beaten course. A cold soul thats seeking warmth." I dont know for sure. lol
vocals are really buried. but its still lit
@@dystopia423 "She will never know, the beaten course, A cold soul seeking warmth" You almost got it. This is the answer from a short google search.
@@voidvisual they're english and it fucks me up sometimes listening to them because i forget that they have their accent and im in america
In description, except the 1st line of chorus.
bro if loathe ever did a tour with deftones I'm straight up shitting my pants I swear
This is what you would get IF E-Town Concrete and As I Lay Dying had a baby and it's INSANE.
This one is fiyah
Just finished listening to their new record and I’m speechless they have improved so fucking much I love how much they experimented on every song blew my mind as I listened to each track congrats my dudes in Loathe😭❤️
My favourite new bad, found on Spotify. Have been listening non-stop for a few days now. Love the dynamics.
Same
One of the best bands out there right now. Every release is fucking amazing.
Fck it im not even an elitist anymore thanks to loathe
That breakdown broke my neck
Is it just me or is the chorus 1:15 produced differently in the video version compared to the versions on streaming? Like the vocals sound louder/clearer on this version. Also there's no echo on the "by your own torrent" line 2:35 in this version. I really like this version slightly more.
You’re totally right dude. It’s like the mix on Apple Music on Spotify buries the vocals and sounds muddy.
the single versions of gored & new faces in the dark both have different mixes compared to the album
disgusting!!
Killin' it!! Added you to my UA-cam playlist "New Metalcore Bands of 2019"
1:16 this part
Can we just talk about how halfway through this song it goes from an Interlude to a breakdown followed by the track Red Room, which is an Interlude followed by a breakdown followed by an Interlude?
Glad UA-cam put this in my recommended. Will definitely keep listening to Loathe.
Another banger dudes. Fucking sick
The transition between this and Red Room is insane. Gives me chills every time. Makes me wish they included that synth part in New Faces In The Dark
So is loathe planning to release a new album? Or just these 2 amazing but more-ish songs?
Februari 7th...new record!
Impossible not to heading to 2.26
This quarantine makes me feel like I’m trapped inside this music video.
hello from Russia, this great job
I find it mad that they’re scousers. So glad I found this lot, been listening to them on repeat
What does that even mean lmao 😭
@@danielbergraaf7425 scousers are people from Liverpool - a place you wouldnt expect bands like this to form.
i'm 3 years late but i'm here. i was NOT feeling what was seeming to be the typical djent-y garbage that's been like an annoying fly over the last good little while.
but then it got dream-y (i'm here via Punk Rock MBA's newest video and i was confused and frustrated for a sec but i knew i was missing something, bc it seemed to fit..) and i was like
yo this actually works. the combination actually highlights why the parts i wasn't vibing with, actually go really damn well with the parts i was.
dope.
feisal looming over the piano is an omen of the destruction that is the outro to this song
Thesee guys are sort of a mixture of the heaviness of Meshuggah and the clean vocals of Deftones.
Saw these guys with while she sleeps not long ago, absolutely insane
This song CANNOT have only 236279 views. Fucked up world.
Deftones + Norma Jean
it's IMPOSSIBLE not to make the nastiest stank face when 1:10 hits
YES
That intro sounds just like Song of Solomon from Animals as leaders ????
Man and I thought their last Album was Good, this gonna be the shits
Was really solid too many interludes for me really broke up the flow of the record but this one has potential to be on a different level.
