      This is true, but I’ve seen channels with 500k + views on a single video but only 25k subs. Either the creator needs to add more tags or the algorithm is crap. I think the latter considering AI technology nowadays!

    I love the fact that if something breaks you get on and fix it. A skill sorely missing in normal life. I worked for a tarmac firm up until last year and in a company of 15 there was only 2of us who knew how to put track back on a machine, how to jump start rollers or even basic stuff like strip grinders or wackers. For some reason people are scared to get stuck in to something new. That's why I am so happy to find you, Colin Furze, the hacksmith. A new collection of creators. I still always remember that you are making videos and filming apart from everything else. Bravo sir!

    Of course I'm just a couch quarterback here and you have been doing amazing work (with the cooleat tools!) but I do believe an old fashioned water level would be a lot more accurate. Could you add an extension onto the front of your cart, a sheet metal bucket, to catch the dirt and rocks as they fall when you drill? When full, just back part way out, drop the lift and hoist the sheet metal bucket up and out to be dumped? It would prevent you from having to lift the small bucket onto the cart. It could be close to the bottom of the tunnel to catch most of the dirt. No need to bring anything back to the bunker.

    • @Tornado_Dave
      @Tornado_Dave  8 місяців тому +1

      Yes I had the same thought but the lift is a bit slow and ideally needs 2 of you so it would still take longer, this way the dirt stays in the tubs till you tip it out.

    Have you considered a vaccum to like a dumpable icb container for digging just get like a 40ft hose that runs to the ground level it will save you running back and forth multiple times you could almost clear out nearly 3/4 meters of dirt in under an hour I would suggest two 1500watt motors wet/dry vacs

    • @Tornado_Dave
      @Tornado_Dave  7 місяців тому +1

      Yes but it would need to be a big vacuum to pull the stones up, especially if you were bringing them up high than ground level, if I make another tunnel I will make it suit a proper boring machine I think but Im on my last 8ft of this tunnel currently so was planning on getting it finished next week. That was till I got the bad news this week, more to be explained in this weeks video 😭

    that's some nice sand, if it's sharp sand you could sell it for a pretty penny!
    Did you know sharp sand is going extinct?

    3:49 a corded drill would actually be even faster, and a rotary tool (like a dremel but much larger) with a flexible would be even better still. with your current method here, you are moving the motor and battery with each arm stroke, when really you only need to be moving the twist drill itself.

    You have sheet metal stuff. Why not make a custom tiny cute dump truck? Instead of the flexitub. Attached to your trolley. Maybe with digging action. Scoop scoop~

    I’m taking the P! I’m only a few miles away and want to visit as I have diggers and do your sort of stuff.
    Never mind the drill we want to see some mother of a boring tool or massive hoover to suck the muck out! Let’s go industrial!!

      Just trying to make it more watchable for the majority instead of just digging, I appreciate it’s not going to suit everyone but need to build the audience up a little bit if I can, and it’s only a select few viewers that will watch just digging 😀
