Legends and mystery surround this historic chapel in Santa Fe New Mexico. Why was it built without a staircase to the second story? What really happened to the architect building it and, who was the gray bearded man with the donkey?

I'm such a nerd for historic architecture. Especially if it has amazing woodworking! Santa Fe is definitely a treasure trove for that and SF cuisine is my absolute favorite! 😍

I've never been there but I can imagine! Do you know if the Chapel it's designed after in France is in or around Paris? I may have seen it several years ago when I visited.

It's modeled after Sainte Chapel in Paris.
