Exploring Abiquiu's old town square! (6-43)

After visiting Ghost Ranch, we headed to the old Square in Abiquiu, New Mexico. This place is easy to miss as the old village is up a hill and not on the main road through town where all the businesses now reside. But driving up the winding road off the highway, you come to the Square.
Not much is left up here other than the Catholic Church, which is incredibly beautiful. My first time up here was back in 1982 and I unfortunately don't remember much. I only remember seeing the church and having Georgia O'Keefe slam her gate on me as I sat in my VW van outside it.
Exploring the ruins around the square really made me wonder what it was like in earlier times.
