I'm a female Shipt customer and I will NEVER place an order to arrive after dark. I live in a nice area, but still, I just will not make a person drive at night to deliver to me. Whatever it is can wait till the next day. Some of these customers just don't care about anyone's safety. Thanks for bringing up this important topic.

Yep.Once you step into someone's house, you don't know who else could be there. It only takes about 2 seconds for someone to come out from behind that front door and grab you, so that you can't move (and they can easily drug you). I will not step inside someone's house, no matter how old or how nice they seem.
NEVER hesitate to report stuff like the "naked man" to the local police! If Instacart isn't willing to help you, go the the police

You are a number to them. They don't care. They need orders completed by shoppers. They will not change until they are force to
You need to check the address of the customer before you start a batch!!! That’s what I do . If it looks to be a creepy or unknown place, I would cancel it…

If I ever took an order and later found out there was no address, I would immediately cancel the order. If you go to their house and it's some pervert who kidnaps you, no one will have a way to find you. Police will look at the last order you took to try and track you, and there will be nothing there. NO WAY!! Thanks for bringing this to light. I hope it helps others to be prepared as to what to do if this happens to them.
I would just like to share a tip with you that I believe is an excellent way to protect yourself from an attack from someone without using physical confrontation with said individual. That would be a very good flashlight. NO CHEAP ONES! It has to be one that has at least three settings. One setting would be a regular illumination. The second has a very, very bright illumination. Get one with the brightest illumination setting. When you’re using your flashlight for just ordinary things do not use that 2nd brightness setting. It will burn through your batteries with the quickness. It is so bright it will make pitch black like high noon. The third setting is a strobe light. If you find yourself in a confrontation that strobe effect will effectively blind an individual for as long as you keep that going. It is also extremely disorienting. Allowing you to get away from them.
My Dad advised me to keep a can of "Wasp Spray" in my car. It shoots in a straight line and goes really far. Yes, get that Mace, but keep the Wasp Killer in the car as well!!
Dawn is so much braver than me. Once I would have seen the dirt road to nowhere I would have spent the time contacting support and getting the batch cancelled for safety issues and not delivered the order.

I don't even log on to Instacart after 4:00 pm. I would be shopping well into the evening which means delivery would be definitely after dark.

This is similar to what I’ve mentioned deliveries in northern georgia can be. You are taken off paved roads, customers have 100-150 yard long dirt curved driveways covered by very tall trees and that you dont know if you’re even on the right path. Sometimes those long driveways lead you to two or three houses far apart from each other that if a murder occurred their neighbors wouldn’t be able to hear it happen. Worse yet is they won’t even have signs, much less lite signs, to indicate which house is which. I have 3-4 videos myself that I’ve sent to relatives showing the long driveways in the middle of nowhere. Almost like driving to that camp house where they filmed the Friday the 13th movies.
