    If the end goal is happy customers who want to come back and use IC again, why would you constantly send in new people who don’t know how to shop? This is a SKILLED job. It took me months of shopping all day, everyday to learn the stores, to get to know who in the stores to ask for help, figure out a customer’s communication style (or lack there of) on the fly, understand that chat support is only useful for a very short list, how to deliver to apartments whose alphabet-soup style of numbering makes NO sense, and so, so many other things.
    I’m beyond fast, efficient, I know the stores and where the specialty cheeses, etc. etc., are, which all equals fewer refunds, happier customers, a better bottom line for IC, and yet they somehow keep thinking it’s a better idea to play the pee-wee minions than the first string pros, who they sideline and put in the algorithm penalty box. In what business model does this make any sense??

      That's not their end goal. They are like most big businesses today in that there is no long-term vision. They are just after the short-term gains and hoping to go IPO and bailout, or get bought out by another of the Gig delivery companies. They were trying to get Doordash to snatch them up, but DD probably saw how they were running things, and ran away.

      I’m with you! I’ve been a shopper for four years this month. I’ve been with instacart since they started up in my small town. I’m the only OG left standing. I have maintained my 5 star through the pandemic and everything. You are so correct that us vets know what we are doing and we know how to make the customers happy in the quickest most cost effective way for instacart. It makes ZERO since why we are tossed aside like trash. I haven’t shopped a batch in 3 weeks. I’m OVER IT until they make changes. I go in to get my groceries and see so many newbies many dressed in slippers and SpongeBob pajama pants walking around looking dazed. They drag little kids around with them and have a discombobulated cart with heavy stuff piled on produce. I cringe every single time. But hey if that is what instacart wants out there representing them, then so be it. They’re gonna tank fast.

      It pays off for me a lot of the time because customers are probably so use to having shitty shoppers that when I'm their shopper I exceed their expectations and they increase the tip

    Let's put this all together shall we. Instacart wants to pay less to drivers and keep more for itself. The best way to do that is get rid of the veteran shoppers who will complain and send ripples through all the new people. So when the new people see that the old people are complaining, they think its nonsense. But the new people don't realize they are getting paid less than we were for batches just last year. The new people get accustomed to getting paid less, the veterans leave, and Instacart makes more money with less complaints.

    The whole platform is a complete mess. From new shoppers providing poor service causing the potential loss of customers to bots snagging batches that should be going to 5 star shoppers. Instacart used to be a great means of additional or just income in general but has now regressed into a complete shit show. Having veteren shoppers who provide stellar customer service being shoved face first into the sludge just isn’t right.

      thats what they have been doing to me all week. Ive been lucky enough to never have dropped below 5 and it doesnt matter. Batches still going to lower rated shoppers and new ones! Its BS

      They hired a bunch of new shoppers about 2 months ago and my weekly income has decreased so much each week that I have to go get a real job. I’m a veteran who has been a shopper for 6 years. It’s sad because I maintain a 5 ⭐️ rating and haven’t had my regular customers for quite some time. I only hope the customers are happy with their service. 🙏🏻
      I also had scumbag customers report whole orders missing. Disgusting!! Keep up the great work Jen!! 🎉

    He's right. Do other jobs as well if you're gonna do IC. I only do a couple of IC's a day now because of the pay cuts and unfair rating system.
    I used to make over 1,500$ a week with Insta.. Over 3,000 deliveries and 2yrs later my pay has constantly dropped to maybe $600-$700wk.., (and I'm also working twice as much, and gas is over twice as much, rent and everything else is skyrocketing too, fast food pays over $20/hr here etc etc)..
    Lucky for me a broken foot got me doing other easier app jobs like Roadie, Point Pickup etc.. things where I dont have to walk 8miles a day zig-zagging through grocery stores, wondering if a out of stock can of beans is going to cost me money for the next 100 orders..

    You know, the way to fix this is to start new shoppers with an average rating. That’s it. The above average would get first pick, and the noobs need to prove themselves

    I’ve been doing Ic for almost 3 years with over 4,000 batches completed. Some weeks are better than others. I’ve seen my ratings tank from 5 stars to 4.83 with no reasons given. Been tip baited.
    As a vet shopper, it’s ridiculous when a faithful long time customer complains to you when you get their order about the last shopper. I feel helpless for them.
    Sorry newbies but you shouldn’t be getting high pay orders straight out of the gate. Long time customers should be getting vet shoppers they know and sometimes have formed a relationship with. They trust us vets more than newbies. They know us and know we are going to give them the best service.
    Ic needs to let the customer choice their top 5 favorite shoppers and give their orders to them. Newbies should get orders that are smaller to gain the experience and speed.

      Agreed! You Earn your way up. New shoppers should only be given small singles for say the first 10 orders. Figure out the process, the app, etc. And There should be some recognition for longevity. I was at a store a few weeks ago, new shopper ahead of me in check out line. You could tell he did not care. Cashier told him the strawberries were bad. The Bagger raced to produce to get new ones. Shopper exited and said, “it Doesn’t matter” then he left with the bad strawberries, no receipt, and even left an ENTIRE BAG of groceries behind. So I’m pretty Sure he won’t stick around for long, but His bad work sadly reflects on all of us, loses business for instacart, etc. agreed that there should be a concierge level for great shoppers and solid, repeat customers.👍

      As an IC customer, I like your idea to enable us to choose from our top 5 shoppers. We get to know their work ethic, and they remember how to find us!

    It has gotten so bad that I no longer even see high paying batches ever!! The only Cotsco batches I see are for $25 or less!!!!! For a two person shop!! Some other shoppers are seeing and getting higher paying batches for sure! The good customers that tip appropriately have not just disappeared!

    Thank you secret chat support person. I appreciate your support. I also understand you're given a short time and are busy and I bend over backwards in appreciation for all my chat agents because it's tough to keep everyone happy and keep professional. Obviously the first agent's quote was quite unprofessional, but we see the stress.

    I'm in Los Angeles, it takes a few hours before I even see a batch. It's so disappointing. Especially in a high traffic city. I only take the batches that are worth my time due to not having a good gas-efficient car, so I need to play it smart - especially with these high gas prices. [$7 now :'( ] I still think they need to add a rate to the customer system because some are just completely rude, very difficult to find their homes or to get into the gates, PLUS carrying heavy items and large quantities upstairs with no elevator or escalator. Which makes it difficult if you are handicapped to complete at times. Along with trying to find a safe place to park in high traffic areas where there isn't guest parking for tasks like these. It's so sad to see a company think that this is okay to do to the people who are basically helping them make this money. Selfish people - I saw your CEO interview, and it was clear they don't care. Just dodging the questions. I do have great ratings. 4.9 - one person gave me a 3 but it has no explanation. They did try to report fraud, but luckily I had photos. I now send my client's timestamp SNEAK PEEK photos of what each of their bags carries, along with a front view of what each item is as I collect them this way they can't say it's the wrong item, damaged, or missing. I've prevented that by taking A LOT of photos. Even when I get to the homes I submit a view of the address and home, plus where I placed them. I had one person claim they were missing a bag of 10-lb potatoes, but I literally handed them the order and warned them that the bag was heavy because of them. It's annoying, and unfortunately when the clients get us upset the person getting the hits ends up being the customer service line because they are the face/ears/voice of the company - and they too get it bad, or mistreat their shoppers because they're frustrated as well. There's definitely a lot of room for improvement for the CEO and the higher-ups within this company.

      From what I remember I read somewhere there is a class action suit right now against IC in Ontario Canada but these things take years and years. I would rather see a permanent change to labour laws to include all gig companies then just sue the IC and receive a settlement

    I see it all the time where newbies get more batches than me when I have been a shopper for three years. I am glad this is just a side hustle for me and is fun for me to do. I would never ever rely on this as a fulltime job.

    I remember the good ole days of waking up to 40-50 dollar batches. Them were the days, now im approaching 2,000 batches. I still get enough decent batches in my area to hit my target in a reasonable amount of time but i dont have any days like when i started.

    Instacart is in hot water. The only shoppers that are making money is the ones that are using the bots and, I know exactly who they are. I wish there was a way to get the news involved.

      If there is a good investigative reporter or team at one of your local TV stations, start there. But when you tell them, be sure to stress the safety risks these bot users pose. Nothing better for a TV image than a stay-at-home-mom using the service to be greeted at the door by someone she wasn't expecting and who could be a career criminal who bypassed the traditional background check system we all were subjected to. The reporter would need to go to Instacart to request a comment. But that reporter should also challenge Instacart on the "Bot Bounty" program that doesn't seem to be working. If a few local stations start doing these types of reports, especially in big cities, then maybe networks will being to take notice.

    New shopper preference has always been an Instacart policy, and it's always been for a duration of 3 months. Back when I started there was a scheduling system, and new shoppers got access to the schedule 24 hours before everyone else for the first 3 months. When they got rid of the schedule and implemented the current on demand and ratings system, new shoppers got batches a few minutes before everyone else, and this preference was also for 3 months. That has never changed despite the lies we are told to the contrary. It's just more suffocating now because they on-board new shoppers continuously when before they only did it periodically.

    I don’t get it, I’m a veteran shopper & I wasn’t seeing anything until these last few updates. Now I’m seeing a bunch of batches & ive been getting a ton of good ones! Obviously I’m not making what I used to 3 yrs ago, but it’s been surprising good for me lately. 🤷‍♀️

    Thank you for this information. I've been doing instacart for over 2 years and have 5 stars and no issues or complaints but my orders started dropping. I would do 800 to 1000 a week depending on how much I worked. When I started getting less orders and couldn't earn money I went back to doing doordash during lunch and dinner and now I'm back to making the money I need. Plus there's a lot less stress and hassle. It's sad though that a company that people work for and give their all to would treat their veteran shoppers this way. I miss my regulars I had on instacart because they became like friends I would see once in awhile and we would talk but you have to be able to support your family and instacart doesn't allow that any more. Hopefully someone will take over the company and truly fix the issues but until then I feel as if they are going to lose a lot of good people to other gig work and be left with new people all the time that doesn't quit grasp what it means to be providing a service and assisting someone.

    It is hard to trust chat agents. They just say what they need to, to avoid bad reviews. There is a lot of evidence of these agents lying to shoppers. I have had one tell me to do something that would break the contract that I signed when becoming a shopper. Just be careful guys! Thanks jen for the video 😀

    Today, I was offered an “add-on” for 21 items and the “additional pay” was 3.68. Yes $3.68 for an additional 21 items.
    This should literally be CRIMINAL.

      I think the problem may be that new shoppers accidentally accept these & so the algorithm treats us all to these horrible offers. Things were so good not so long ago. This is ridiculous.

      Those are the type of add-ons I see. I rarely take them. Last week I accepted believing it was decent. It turned out to be a double...now making my order a triple batch. I canceled. I don't do triples unless it is paying really well.

      I declined an add-on yesterday; it was decent $ but took me in the opposite direction from the store to the original customer. Sometimes I worry that declining will backfire on me and get me less batches.

      @Cecilia Cree if I take them I screenshot the offer. The first time they tried to only pay me $0.30 extra. Had to chat/battle with an agent who reluctantly gave me a $10 bump when it should have been at least $16 extra. With a screenshot they have no position but to give what was offered.

    This was a side job for me in 2020 and 2021. I stopped it when I noticed in late summer of 2021 the batch volume dropped dramatically and kept dropping. I’ve been out a few times in past couple months and no batches. Or one in 4 hours. I’ve parked in store lots where I always was busy and even had lots of delivery only batches at these stores and now nothing . Friday and Saturday nights I’d have one batch after another until almost 10:30 when I’d call it a night. Now zero yet I’ll see other shoppers walking into the store or shopping inside if I’m in there and I’ll wonder hey they’re just starting to shop so where did they get that batch. Never even saw it.

    This info is good. Not much is changing for all involved. Its sad really because most of us vets just want to shop and make money. I always try to stay away from chat if possible. I take the "L" if i don't get like a heavy pay. But i also dont shop much with IC anymore.

    So what do we do, quit instacart? I’m 54 and don’t have a degree and don’t care to go back to school! I took this when I lost my f/t job making a large salary and full benefits! And instacart was an option for me! But this is not funny! This gig right now is below the poverty line! So what do we do? Does the government have to get involved as we are making way less than minimum wage?? Help!

    We're seeing newbies with 2.3 and up to four phones in their hands waiting at the parking lot. They got their siblings their parents...entire households getting all the batches. A customer reached out and expressed concern because the app said the shopper was a woman and these two guys showed up to her private gated community and delivered the order. She said she thought the shopper was supposed to be the one who delivers the order.

      We need more customers to report this. I actually reported similar the one time we used door dash, guy delivered when app said female and phone call went to a guy's voicemail when I tried to find out where our food was after 1 hour. Got a refund on my very cold chipotle after 2 hours, and I reported driver discrepancy. That was before I even started doing IC.

    This is horrible. I remember signing up back in 2016 yet not doing it because it wasn't available in my area. I ended up signing up again in September of last year and have been working as a 5-star shopper for the majority of the time. But I knew something had changed after one particular update months ago. This only confirms my thoughts and others about what changed. Thank you for sharing this with us! We obviously need to adjust ourselves to other opportunities to make additional or replacement income since instacart is limiting us who are seasoned.

    Hi Jen I love your channel I would like to add a piece of information if you will, I have only been doing this since December so for a little over 3 months I have glowing comments from customers and I am very good and through but I would still consider myself to be a fresh shopper under 6 months and I can’t get batches to save my life yet I stay at 5 stars it’s like I get what’s been picked over all far away and horrible pay with little to no tips when I used to make $650 a week at least now barely $300 a week just sad I’ve heard it from both ends a veteran that it’s just as slow as me a rating below 5 that see orders all the time where they weren’t before and a veteran that has never seen a slow in her cash flow for over 2 years makes a consistent $750 a week even with all the new hires in my town I got into this to be able to stay home with my girls but my outcome is looking bleak after it seems I’ve only just started to get comfortable in it thanks for all you do wish this company would treat their gig workers better and not mass hire when they have all the good workers they need already waiting and will until next time 💕🙏🏻☺️

    Hi Jen this is Paul I’ve been following you and instacart dude for over a year now I’m a 2 year instacart shopper out of Los Angeles ca I’ve been through it all with this fly by night gig job I’ve punched and kicked with instacart chat support through it all.the one thing I can say is instacart made customers into thieves,shoplifters,low life’s,scum bags,losers,crooks,these customers will soon pay the price through law I hope there will be a justice system that will find a case in charging instacart and criminal customer with a crime that will go down in the books.Reporting groceries missing wrong damaged.that’s the one thing that I can say hurts us shoppers nationwide in the gig grocery platform.this subject should be spoken with that CEO instacart has now a days give me 5 minutes with her

    a grocery store.... so, I have ZERO expectations with IC .... my rating was a 5 and dropped to 4.97 overnight... of course, no reasons.... but, having no
    expectations I am able to just do it as I want to, and not need to... it helps my mental health... IC done as part time makes the most sense... good for you with

    First off, I would like to thank you for all you do for us shoppers, keeping us informed and advocating for us. I started doing Instacart after I lost my fiance to Covid- Pneumonia. I'm not really built for a normal 9 to 5 job right now. Instacart allowed me to work when I could, physically, mentally and emotionally and survive. For that I was so grateful. Now I go days without seeing a batch. What was giving me hope has become another of my sorrows. Instacart needs to realize that the people who do this are dedicated to this for a reason. In my case it's because I know I'm not equipped to work a normal job right now. I can't do it. Some days I can't even get out of bed. But I am highly rated shopper and I do my job well and I'm not seeing any benefits from that right this whole thing put me right back to where I was before I started Instacart.

    I can vouch on the shadow banding! I’ve been a shopper for three months and I get one batch at a time showing up on my phone while I watch another 8 IC shoppers go in and out of the same store I’m at. Newbies do not get good orders, we don’t a lot of batches, and we get very low paying batches. I have never made $500 in 7 days of work! I as as newbie am getting no batches. The algorithm should be illegal! How are we our we private contractors when we are not getting rare batches and all is controlled on I. Side of things. We can’t even make a proper income as it’s all controlled! These are tough times and this is my FT job as I can’t find another at the moment. Will still be searching though. And I find shoppers in the states are getting paid Waaaay more for batches then here in Canada. 24 items for $13 is a joke when I see in the USA the same thing but for $35. What gives?
    IC I thought was a good opportunity to make income! Watching those in the USA I thought wow! Canada prices are insane and getting .40 to drive 15km?? People are trying to make ends meet when we have lost our good paying jobs as it is!!! This is not fare in the least

    I fully believe this. Daily I park next to a buddy of mine. I have a 5 star and he is 4.83. I’ve been at this 4 years and him maybe half that. He constantly gets $50+ batches that they never show me. Proximity is the same, my rating is higher, seems I have the “shadow ban”.

      They definitely want the veterans gone. We know what batches SHOULD pay. New shoppers accept these ridiculous low offers. I think what keeps my friend seeing good batches is he was deactivated a couple months ago but got it overturned. I think that inadvertently reset the clock or removed the “shadow ban” as it treated him like a new shopper.

    As I said on a previous post, I have deleted my Instacart account over seven months ago. I am glad when I hear this that I always gave my chat support a five star rating. Every person who ever helped me (I felt) was a kind person who wanted to do more to help but could not. So I’m glad that I always gave them five stars. I could always tell they were helping someone else because they would disappear and sometimes say something that had nothing to do with what I was contacting them for.

    Thank you for this. I am a new shopper and I can tell you we are not getting the batches. Yesterday I made $70 that’s not what I call getting batches. The batches that sit there forever, sometimes I take them. I don’t take $8 batches if I have to drive too far. Gas!
    That being said, I’m just saying as a newbie we aren’t seeing batches!

    Yes I’ve recently been shadow banned from batches because I complained about a fraudulent one star rating. All I can do is wait it out and see if it gets better.

    The ratings do not matter. My rating is at 4.57 I’m a full time shopper and I’ve gotten two 41 dollar batches for today and I’ve made more money than I have when I had a 5 star rating for the past few weeks. I’m also a veteran shopper

      I would have to agree with you. This chat support agent said ratings do matter although the five star shoppers aren’t getting the best batches. He confirmed this.💛

I can’t control people reporting missing items and even saying I didn’t deliver altogether when I have pictures to prove I did. Trust and safety hasn’t done anything to help so I leave it in gods hands 🤷🏾‍♂️. Still making 1000 a week multi apping with Instacart making up for 600 of that. The ratings can’t matter if I’m still getting access to great batches

    This is why I do go puff as well as Amazon flex I don’t have time for instacarts mess. I’m not able to make enough like I was before. During the pandemic we was making more then enough but the change have come and the money to the batches are low. I have high rating myself and my husband and now it’s like pulling teeth to get something worth shopping for

    Yeah I sit in the parking lot food Lion and watched a brand new shopper brand new go in the store do an order watch another one going to the store to do an order I'm sitting there with nothing one of them delivers their order comes back and actually has another order meanwhile I'm sitting in the parking lot of said store that they're going in and getting these orders I've been doing his car for a pretty good while yes it's not fair

    I do have advise to seasoned shoppers that have been casted aside by IC. If you are willing and able to shop late nights I have been shopping nights is the only time I get any batches:

    That’s terrible for CS. Whenever I chat with them..I can tell they are trying their hardest to resolve.
    I’m a veteran and sadly this is true. It’s only been the last month or so. Hours waiting for a batch and when I do..it’s pathetically small or awful matrix.
    I love what I do. This gig has changed my life for the better. It offered me Freedom. I’m sticking around because like anything shit can changes on a dime. Thank you!

    Veteran bot 8 years here. I can attest to the lack of batches. And shadow banning. I only see plenty of work when I’m “needed”. Then they force me to choose between1-2 so so batches and literally use me to boost batches that nobody wants. I’ll get batches on my screen 1h away and I’ll just watch it grow. It’s only there so that it will get peak boosted for someone else to take it.

    Well I was trying to find out why I had a three star rating that was posted on my account and the care person had the audacity to tell me that asking she would compromise my account. These care people are nothing but liars, and manipulators to make you believe something that is 100% not true! That’s why I have and keep screenshots from EVERY conversation! I’m so tired of the mistreatment!

    I haven't even done this for a year yet and have been ghosted on batches.. I'll see costco drops at 10 am but after that it's a zero screen with horrible batches coming through.. and once a decent one pops up I have to be quick about it

    Thank you to this brave chat support agent for reaching out to you! That agent confirms what I have suspected for a very long time and have seen with my own eyes. I ran into another new shopper this past week who is getting great batches while I am left to sit a store parking lot twiddling my thumbs (but I actually don't because I'm active on 5 apps). I can also tell that agent really wants to do well at their job and I wish that agent the best! I have always strived to treat those agents with respect, even if I know they're blowing smoke up my rear, I still rate 5 stars unless they do something really stupid or ignore me entirely. I had no clue about the 700 second rule. I will keep that in mind next time I have a couple issues that need to be addressed, I will break them out top different agents.

    WOW. ok its a rough week on the IC platform. im a 5 star rated shopper & have done 675 batches to date. your video update explains alot of gray areas currently. IC also hasnt adjusted their batch pay to offset for the higher gas prices. these new 2 store 2 batches are a joke. i rarely do double batches ... triple batches i will never do. IC thinks they are doing the Shoppers a favor with all their new rollouts too but we Veteran Shoppers know better. we learned from our mistakes. i have NOT seen any daily promos in 2 weeks either. i used to see promo offers at least 2 or 3 times a week. IC only creates more ways to trim down the Shoppers bottom line & maximize their own. they keep taking away. my strategy is to MULTI APP to make my daily quota because leaving all your eggs in the IC basket spells doom. thanks for the update & video Jen. we appreciate this type of feedback behind the scenes. 😎

      The promos I see are not worth doing. I have one for tomorrow complete 4 for $38.... really. No thank you. Usually when you are on a oromo they only show large double and triple batches. Thank goodness this is just a part time gig.

      i agree. even if IC throws a Shopper a promo lately its a joke within a joke. 4 batches for $38 or 5 batches for $48. ohhh im going to make that $5 extra dollars for the promo if i only do $7 batch pay out offers. IC is getting worse & worse.

    I truly believe the agent. I definitely noticed a lot less batches coming in from when I started over a year ago. I don't depend solely on this income (thank goodness) but I have experienced some frustration just how they operate.

    I literally had 2 customers report damaged milk and tea. Nothing was damaged. I checked the dates and no dents. Another said she didn't get her chicken. Um honey u got your chicken she was a 1 shop and I kno I had the chicken bc it was smelling in my car. Im so tired of the dishonest customers.
    Heavy pay is when I have a cart full of heavy items. I have seen where customer had 2 cases water 2 gallons of milk Gatorade pak and no heavy pay was added. Make matter worse u pull up it an apartment 2nd or 3rd fl🤬. Instacart you showed house icon..smfh

    I've taken orders that say heavy pay included! That pay is still the batch pay. &7 I took them because tip was high, mileage low and item number was not large. Heavy pay included @ $7 total ic pay. Ha

    And this is why i quit working for IC when we started IC in my area 4 years ago there were 100 shoppers when pandemic began the increased our shoppers since then increased in 1,000s… Bots came about and shoppers were being tip batted and IC no longer cared for the veteran shoppes😔. I don’t doubt what they are doing to the veteran shoppers… they still don’t care about the BACKBONE of the company.

    Question: by being seasoned worker how does IC classify seasoned workers by number of batches or number of years with IC. I joined in 2018 but didn’t shop not 1 batch until mid 2021

    I'm wondering if chat can issue a Costco ban because after I had to drop a chat because the guy was y a smart ass or just really stupid. I did not give him a poor rating because of retaliation, gave him a 5 and started a new chat. Next day I got the Costco warning. A week later I got another bumb ass chat person. when he could not understand my concern after 3 tries at explaining it to him I said I was ending the chat and would find someone who could help me. I need not give a poor rating, I gave a 5 star and always do but he probably thought I trashed him Next day banned from Costco and for no valid reason just the usual not scanning the customers bar code for their orders.The ban was issued on Saturday and lifted on Sunday because I replied with my receipts for the last month with order ID/bar codes high lighted which they could verify easily enough. I had one receipt that showed the same scanned code on both receipts of a double batch. ( IC stilled has not fixed the way the app cycles through it's process 2 or 3 times at Costco) and I included screen shot of my conversation with support where I asked them to fix this for me 2 minutes after it happened.

    i am just wondering id they can initiate the Costco ban? If Trust and Safety is not their Level1 people (or what ever level is over them? IC has too many shady areas and I am curious to know if your driend might have said anything about it. You have to admit I got the fastest time ever for Trust and Safety to respond when I sent proof. Some people never get them to answer

    I just saw that instacart has a whole separate work category for frozen now. I hope that means that the regular batches don’t contain any frozen items in them. I’ve been stressing about doing Instacart because I’m uncomfortable handling frozen foods. I can already see that the customers who want me to leave the groceries at their front door are going to wait too long and the ice cream is gonna be completely melted etc. etc. and then somehow I will be blamed for that. So I’m really super happy that I can take a few batches with no frozen items in them. But I don’t work Instacart full-time either…

    Ratings matter... just not the ones we see.. IC has their own algorithm based on speed, issues, Ratings and most importantly %of items found or replaced!!

    Since new location update, rating seems does not matter. Not like old days. Whoever closes to store getting batches. Lol. Low rating shoppers getting 100dollar batches at costco. It was not like that last year. Instacart changes algorithm.

    That's my comment! Thank you for hearing our frustration. And yes we don't begrudge new shoppers. We just wish IC would reward their veteran shoppers like any other company would instead of recycle us like garbage. If you were to work for any other good company for 5 10 15 20 years you can expect pay raises promotion etc etc but not with IC. It's just sad and super frustrating.

    Hi Jen! First of all, I really wanted to thank you for all the hard work you put into these videos to keep us informed. I really also appreciate how you have forged those relationships with chat support as no one else has that access. Is there a way for you to find out how a veteran shopper can get away from being “Shadow Banned”? I have been a shopper for 2 1/2 years, have a five star rating, a zero cancellation rate, and my shopping time is pretty average. Many weeks ago, I stopped seeing batches over $45 with few exceptions. When Costco drops, I am not seeing the huge orders that others are seeing, even shoppers with a lot lower ratings. Even when I am sitting in the parking space next to them in the same parking lot. Has been going on for quite a while and it is making it hard to make a living. Is there any hope for those of us shoppers that are going through this? Is there any way to undo the shadow ban or any reason that it was placed on us in the first place? Any information you can find out would be awesome. Thank you!
