5 things to quit right now:
1. Overthinking
2. Worrying
3. Trying to make everyone happy
4. Living in the past
5. Doubting yourself
That's all I ever do 😂😂

psych2go should make a vid on 'how' to quit those 5 things, it'll be cool!
I'm having those issues right now. I'm hoping to find the time to meditate and think about that.

*The most important thing in your self-journey: positivity.*

I'm having mental break down... there is no positivity
Denying your negative feelings can be just as bad as indulging them.
I find that Instead of aiming for positivity it's better to learn to be content in all states of affairs. It's OK to feel all feelings and you shouldn't try to shut any out. Just know that they will pass in due course. Negativity, pain and discomfort should be interpreted as signs for action. There is no escaping the human condition you can just learn to not create more Un necessary suffering. I think that its more realistic than aiming for positivity. Also you don't learn when your winning, you really learn when times get hard. So make them an opportunity not a struggle!🖒

Easy to say, hard to do, mostly when the person you're dealing with is difficult
It's incomplete , treat people with kindness till it doesn't hurt you and your mental health. Don't overdo it . If it's too much than its dangerous.
I find it difficult being vulnerable around others, every time I do so It feels "weird" afterwards, like I shoudn't have said that and kept it for myself. This comment is a good example lol
Same,, in fact sometimes (rather often these days) its not even exactly about being vulnerable, like.. just simple things I said or did and a while later, I feel I shouldn't have and keep pondering that for quite some time
I'm always vulnerable around one of my classmates. she's my best friend
Same and after that i cant help but to cringe at myself then i just stay away from those people i told my problems to all of a sudden bcos of this inside feeling thinking they're judging me..idk man

Did you get early acces or smth- how is your comment 1 month ago
Realising that you're toxic and wanting to become a better person is the biggest sign that you already are a way better person. I'm not completely over my toxic behaviour but the progress I've made, after being brought up in a really toxic environment, makes me wanna keep getting better at being a decent human being ❤
The difficult thing about self-improvement is distinguishing between traits of yours that are toxic, and traits of your that are simply shortcomings. Quite often, we live in a society that sees such things as interchangeable, giving not only false standards of perfection, but the expectation that literally everyone can achieve perfection. If any of the signs in this video relate to you, I have to be honest - you're not becoming a better person. You're becoming YOURSELF. The likelihood is, if this is the way you choose to deal with your traumas, you always had kindness in you, and you simply needed the right moment to bring that out. So congratulations are in order for many of you, in more ways than one.
I've realized I'm becoming a manipulative person for either better or worst
Being a Manipulative person doesn’t sound good ngl
At least you are accepting it - that’s like the next to last step in changing 180 degrees! ❤️❤️❤️
Maybe EVERYBODY uses some manipulative techniques to get a little more in life to go their own way. Maybe they (most of them anyway) just don't realize it, or even they hide from it. Maybe the worst and most destructive lies are the lies we tell ourselves to avoid our own responsibilities.
AND maybe, just maybe, you're becoming more and more aware of all the moments you've used some technique or other to manipulate situations for your advantage. Maybe there really isn't an escape from being able to manipulate someone at some point, pretty much everywhere in life.
SO what do we do about it? Maybe instead of the knee-jerk "Manipulation bad" response, we stop for a moment and ask ourselves "Why should I manipulate this situation or this person?"... If we think about it in terms of what we can get them to do for themselves, then maybe it's NOT so bad that we manipulated them. Maybe this power of manipulation CAN be used for someone else's good, too.
Sometimes, it's not an act of pure evil that you manipulate someone. Just becoming self-aware enough to realize it's what you do, you've come farther than most. Accepting this about yourself also makes it become a part of you, and like your own hand is a part of you, YOU can now learn to control it. I'd hazard that there's still responsibility to be undertaken with it, but that this isn't for the worst. The fact you find it important enough to type out in the Comments and make an accountenance of it says you're better than that. ;o)
I’ve learned to use my manipulation on ppl who decide to be rude and hurt others don’t know if I’m still a terrible person
@@YingLing that's pretty much my situation
It may sound crazy guys, but clean your room if it’s messy, and organize it! Don’t just shove things in drawers. The process of dedicating time to do it, committing to it, and recycling/donating what you don’t need anymore, is not also peaceful, but extremely cathartic. I felt so good about myself after doing it. And it made me want to find balance with areas of my life. It’s a great first step towards bettering yourself.
Thank you, I’ve noticed I’m a toxic person and I’m trying to better myself. Three of my friends left me bc they got sick of my bs, it was a huge wake up call.
I'm definitely working to become a better person. I'm learning more and more each day how to love myself. When, for years. I've always put others first beford myself
It's interesting how growth takes some uncomfortable feelings. Good thing is away from our comfort zone.

I don't know if I'll ever stop loving this channel's videos. I just love how calming you are. And I really do want to become a better person -- more empathetic & loving. Less judgemental towards others & myself. More kind and understanding of why others make the choices they do. But also more diligent about where I want my life to go.
Even through all the stuff that’s happened this year, I think I’ve become a slightly better person in a lot of ways. I’ve learned a lot about myself and others around me. I’m hoping I’ll be able to take this knowledge for when life has become a bit less... chaotic.

#3, accepting my shortcomings and mistakes is probably the biggest problem I've been having. Thank you for doin this. Every day is a fight, and your guys' videos help pull me back whenever I'm on the edge again.
Ive made the mistake of allowing myself to be vulnerable with the wrong people so I stopped being vulnerable but that still didn't stop them so I learnt to be more selective. Still problems were unavoidable so I became vulnerable again but now I have a better understanding of what I need and my boundaries.

2 years ago, I was definitely struggling with hard times in to seeing my worth and everything with depression. In 2019, I was able to power through the depression and decided to change my ways during that summer. Fast forward to the end of 2020, and I've been growing A LOT this year especially after a harsh breakup I also had to go through earlier this year. Since then, Im proud to day that Ive been more curious about the world and taking interest in school, Im becoming more spiritual, and I love myself a lot more. I guess my point is I can relate to EVERY. SINGLE. ONE. of those signs 💖
Though it definitely is uncomfortable, change comes and goes, and in the end, it always is that. Uncomfortable. In an ever changing environment, we try to find something controllable. Let's strive to change together! :)
Thanks for making this! I definitely relate to having closer friendships and asking more questions
The last point made me smile. I thought I might be irritating other people with so many questions to get a clear idea of whatever the subject is but this one made me feel better. Now I'm ready to throw questions with no hesitation.

Love your soothing voice and narration and the fact that there is no background music when you speak. So the mind has only one thing to focus on. Quite an effective strategy I realize.
Can you make one about “am I getting groomed?” Because one of my friends have been making me feel uncomfortable and does/says weird things. I told my friend and she said I might be getting groomed...
Hey there wholesome. It’s not wrong to cut things off with people that make you feel uncomfortable.
Take it from me, people who don’t respect your boundaries can really hurt you mentally and spiritually in the long term.
There are too many people in the world that will make you feel great, to spend even one minute with someone who makes you feel a little uneasy.
It’s not just about feeling uncomfortable. But the uneasiness is an indicator, a sign, that something could be very wrong. It’s your body/spirit’s advance warning system alerting you of s possible danger to your wellbeing.
Trust those feelings or yours and most important- ACT! Your human intuition will figure things out before our brain is able to make sense of things.
Don’t walk, run!
I mean it. Your life will be better and you will be safer without that influence in your life.
There are consequences to every path and action. Don’t ignore the warning signs. You can do It!
@@lemonmorning1844 yeah its the thing people may try to force you to but its not good but one person who did goodly was nice
Try telling that friend that they are making you uncomfortable. If they don't change after that, then its a huge red flag
Here is a link (below). This may or may not be helpful to you. It touches on how malevolent people will prey on naivety of malevolence, which having little experience in the world, limited education, and often a comparably happy childhood, is the state of most young people.
Please also search what to do if you think you are being groomed.
I hope you don’t ignore fixing the situation. Whatever happens in life you will carry the memories. Be active about avoiding and cutting off anyone who might be trying to use you.
I really wish you the best.

I relate to some of these signs but I know I'm not getting better-
Just as I'm writing ''this year's goals'' in my journal for 2021, I see this video.
Some of my goals are about working on myself, for example, improving my voice. I use the word ''um'' a lot and it gets really hard for me to get my point accross sometimes, I'd say I'm not good at explaining things, actually, I'd say people are not good at understanding me. I know this is wrong so here I am, telling you all who are reading my comment that I'm not good at explaining things *yet*.
Another goal of mine is to stop adding to people's words unnecessarily. I've been told I always have a problem, that I always have something to add. Although I do not consider every incident of this sort to be my fault since I'm often just voicing my opinion arond people who have no empathy for others, it does seem to me that they can often be right.
Nobody is perfect and please do not be ashamed of your flaws. We all make mistakes and have shortcomings. A thing or two might ruin a friendship or a relationship, but as they say, we meet some people for a lesson, not everybody is willing to stay.
I'm planning to start working on myself before 2021 as a little warm up.
It's never too late or early to start, if you're reading this in March, amazing! Celebrate the 3rd month by trying to improve yourself :)
Can't wait to see how far you will all go, best of wishes.

OK. Yes, I am on the journey. It is, indeed, a process. Am glad that this came up in my recommends today. I will be sharing this with others. Thank you.
As a INFJ.. self-improvement on the daily is a priority!
Becoming a better person isn’t about not making mistakes, it’s about making mistakes then learning from them.
Learning to be the best version of yourself is one of the hardest journeys that can last a life time. One thing that has help me to become the best person i can be is learning about myself, what works for me and what doesnt, what i like and what i dont like, what i need and what i dont need, how i learn, how i express myslef, How I act, How i think, how I cope, how I react in situations. My strengths and weaknesses, my insecurties and the things I am most proud of. These are some questions I have asked my self and leanred about my self. Self discovery has been one of the most helpful coping skills for my depression (yes I was properly diagnosed). Anyways even trying to answer one of these questiosn about your slef is progress!
