  • THYROID- common issue for millions of people across the world. Solution is just one fix but you want a quick fix with a pill.
Dietitian Lavleen @ Diet Insight™ (Chandigarh based nutrition expert and winner of title ‘Best Dietitian in tricity’ at the Global Lifestyle Awards 2015) believes that healthy eating is not about strict nutrition philosophies, staying unrealistically thin, or depriving yourself of the foods you love.

100% genuine! Thank u so much for explaining the true elements behind thyroid health. A few info r new to me✌️
Am someone who has stopped taking pills an year ago n has controlled my t3, t4 n tsh levels only thru quality n thyroid friendly lifestyle.
No doctor suggested me anything which was actually required to treat thyroid naturally or explained the possible causes of it. I did my own research n started yoga n healthy eating. Now I hv reduced 13 kgs n my tsh has come down to 10 from 100!
Let this video be an eye opener for ppl wth thyroid issues👍

@V K She has explained 80% of the things tat I hv been following.
      Key points:
      1. Hydrate ur body as soon as u wake up (drink water)
      2. Do a few basic exercises/yoga (30-40 mins daily morning) for evry part of the body. Neck exercise is imp.
      3. Virgin Coconut Oil plays a vital role in managing metabolism.
      4. Split ur meals into multiple small portions if possible (Helps in weight loss). I used to hv 5 small meals a day, now 4.
      5. Make sure tat u consume nutrition rich food (protein, fibre, selenium, vit D etc are imp)
      6. Say No to processed food, refined oil, sugar n preservatives. Reduce ur intake of salt(sodium) as well. Everything tat goes into ur stomach shud b fresh (Stick to ths as much as u could).
      7. Have a regular relaxed sleep of 7-8 hours or more (Depends on ur body's demand).
      8. Stay away from stress. Keep yourself engaged in something tat u enjoy. Don't let depression take u.
As she said a combination of quality eating, regular exercise, proper sleep n minimal stress can help maintain your thyroid health without pills.
PS: All tat I mentioned abv is wat i followed or still follow. It's up to u whether u wanna take it or leave it. Am just a thyroid patient n not a doctor.

Thanks for sharing it in such a simple way. I've started my day without the Thyronorm since yesterday and was totally unaware of the effect of refined oils. Apart for coconut oil what other oils can we include in our diet? How's mustard oil? Need to share with all of you that YOGA and the medication together is the only way out to control Hypothyroidism. If you practice all the neck exercises which stimulate the thyroid gland your dosage is bound to decrease.

This is the first video that talks about the real stuff with logic otherwise mostly people don't talk about root cause and natural ways to fix it. How much qualified a doctor is he/she will straightaway put one on thyroid hormone when they know what side effects it can cause. I hope you read my comment and advice me as i desperately need it at this moment. Couple of weeks i got full body checkup my cholesterol turned out to be and tsh was 104 though t3 t4 were normal vitamin d total was low. So i consulted a doctor and he asked me to go another test as i was not sure how could tsh be so high so went through another test and tsh came out to be 129 still confused i went for another test and this time tsh was 145. So i was advised to take eltroxin and some medicine for cholesterol also anti tpo antibodies was 1300+. I am more of a person who want to know the root cause and fix that rather thqn let root cause keep destroying my hormone. I hope you will give me right advice. Thanks in advance

Thyroid is a Lifestyle Problem, not a specific disease. Usually caused by period of very high stress.
Don't be too stressed about the numerical values of your reports. If you coping well with problems and working towards solution, keep at it.
    Avoid:
    1. Refined oils because these do not contain required constituents that help the body.
    2. Junk foods with high sodium.
--> above reduce fat burning capacity,
    3. Uncooked cauliflower, broccoli and cauliflower aggravate problem so take these always in cooked form.
    4. Soya oil and other forms of soya. These can be used once in a while as source of proteins but avoid their refined oil versions.
    Promote following in food:
    1. Raw Virgin cold pressed Coconut Oil. (2-3 teaspoons during the day) Best is to add it over the food !
    2. Dhaniye kaa pani. Soak coriander seeds overnight and boil and take the water in morning. This is really helps with thyroid.
    3. Start Selenium tabs as thyroid tablets lead to reduction in its absorption. However, better option is to take walnuts, sunflower and pumpkin seeds. These are better sources.
I can corroborate that many of these are same as what i have seen in this video () , Gives me confidence that i am in good hands!

I hate doing this but after reading the comments I feel that I should make something very clear. You are only right about most of the symptoms but wrong about everything else. First you’re not clear which thyroid problem it is. You are only calling it “apko thyroid haiy”...thyroid is an organ. So you can’t say “apko thyroid haiy”. But the symptoms you mentioned imply that you’re talking about hypothyroidism. The side effects you mentioned are not true at all. They do not affect absorption of other macro or micro nutrients. The cause you mentioned is low cortisol and that’s 100% false. Cortisol is produced in a different organ and it is a different hormone. They do act in synergy but are not the same and the primary cause of hypothyroidism is low thyroid hormone production, not cortisol. You are also wrong about the T3 and T4 lab tests. We always check TSH first since it’s more conclusive than T3 and T4...even if it’s normal we can always make a diagnosis keeping in mind the clinical picture...and T3 and T4 may be done to confirm a suspicion. In hypothyroidism TSH is either low or high. It cannot be normal because thyroid hormone production is decreased. And of course T3 and T4 will always be low. You are also very wrong about how the consumption of oil affects thyroid function. It makes no sense since they are not related. And again you are wrong about how coconut oil can treat hypothyroidism. 🤦🏻‍♀️ That is 100% incorrect. In hypothyroidism your body cannot produce the thyroid hormone. And no matter what nutrient rich food you consume nothing will stimulate the production of the hormone UNLESS the primary cause was iodine deficiency (in which cause consumption of iodized salt is recommended). So you have to take thyroxine, it’s the hormone your body can’t produce. And lastly lifestyle never reverses hypothyroidism by itself. You need to take thyroxine. Improving your lifestyle will of course help you just like it would help a person with normal thyroid function but it wouldn’t reverse hypothyroidism. Please understand the responsibility you take when you make videos like this. I hate to say this but if you don’t even know the pathology of a disorder/disease then you have no business giving out information on how it should be diagnosed or treated. You are not helping people this way....you are actually making it a lot more difficult for them to get better if they believe in what you’re saying. @@AbdullahKhan-ku3vi, no one knows, why it start but my Doctor said, if u face suddenly big changes in ur life it can affect ur thyroid gland, for example loss of ur love one, marriage broken, etc, but good news is it is treatable and not life threatening if u keep taking ur medication, there is two kind of thyroid, hypo and hyper, hypo is easily treated with tablet, and for hyper where u thyroid gland release extra hormone to ur body which is sometime treated with surgery, I'm taking my medication from june 2011 for hypothyroid, but still have two beautiful healthy boys in 2012 and 2014, and during pregnancy I keep taking my tablets. I'm also feel very healthy and energetic, no issue at all. Hope I manage to answer ur question. Love from London x x x

Most of the thyroid disorders are due to incorrect lifestyle. Diet and lifestyle modifications can reverse these disorders. But time taken may vary and the process this could be gradual depending on metabolism and medical conditions. A doctor will tell give information that is evidence based only. They will tell you things they themselves have been taught in medical school. A doctor cannot be blamed for lack of treatment options which have not been discovered or invented yet. But the onus is definitely on the patient to take care of his/ her lifestyle and diet. No doctor will ever tell you its okay to eat crappy food but they will always stress on the importance of healthy choices. But till scientifically proven they cannot tell you to solely rely on diet and avoid your medications. It is as simple as that.

Not 'due' to incorrect lifestyle. Ofcourse change in lifestyle will help majorly. But that's not a cause for thyroid

Healthy diet and lifestyle is something that we are taught from school. Your doctor cannot be blamed for your poor diet and health choices and genetics. Besides no doctor will ever tell you to eat crappy food. Medicines are to manage diseases.. But healthy choices are for prevention. You are what you eat. This dietician is not telling you to stop your medications btw.
