- Fieldy, who is the longtime bassist for Korn has revealed that he will be walking away from the band for the first time in 28 years. It's seems unreal to hear Korn being mentioned without Fieldy's name present, but the decision has been unfortunately been made and announced by Fieldy himself.

But David was trash talking the band and didn’t even leave a real message in why he’s stepping away then expected to just walk right back into the band.

I met Fieldy and the rest of KoRn back in 1999. I know Fieldy has dealt with alot of personal issues (no pun intended) including anger problems but deep down he has a heart of gold. Whatever happens down the road i wish him all the love and respect in the world.

You are greatly loved❤️! You are not alone!!!! The first step to healing is admitting you have a problem. Your admitting it and being honest will one day be a true inspiration to helping others. I have 30 years sober. Is it easy? No, it will never be a quick walk around the lake so to speak. But it is the nest thing to ever happen to me. You have to take total care and love for yourself before you return to being in your band. You have to know the whys of addiction. It has never been a moral failure. It is a disease. I hope that after you get the care you need, you will get into s NA or AA program. In the meantime Im so proud of you! It takes a real man to admit the truth in getting much needed help. Your on your way to true peace and inner and total happiness. God loves you very much Fieldy, and you will not be another statistic of genius in the rock world to pass on. i was around Reggie for 16yrs whenever korn would visit Vinnie Paul in Dallas TX - he was always kindhearted and funny
(I have witnessed him sober & not sober --- happy and not so happy - in the past)
- he made a video with that other band recently 10/2022 --
and i saw him and I heard him talking ...
(gossiping and speculation does harm)
he's a really genuinely kindhearted person
and thousands of fans just need to pray for him NOW ...

I was going to see them this summer 😭. It's not the same when a band member leaves, I would know. When my dad passed away in '98, I fell in love with this band. It felt like I knew what I could do for myself and my siblings. This year my mom took her life. I wanted to meet this band ever since '98 when I was 11 years old.... your music will always be around. I can't thank this band/family enough. 23 years is a long time of never seeing this band live. Once Fieldy comes back, I will buy tickets. I learned to play bass because of him. I hope he gets well because him and this band helped me a lot. God bless you Fieldy.

I feel like he's talking about the early korn meth days from first 3 albums era that he went back to those habits,. Hopefully he just needs this break for a few months to recalibrate and will be back strong as ever mentally

@@prestonmikel1 it would be awesome to see Tye Trujillo fill in. I'm 17 and i play bass but I shred on bass and I use tons of distortion like Lemmy and Cliff Burton. But I've been learning eruption on bass and soon all the solos and fills of You really got me going (Van Halen cover version) on bass.
Going to see Korn this year and have nothing but love and respect for every member. Get well Feildy. Will miss seeing you live.

There are a lot of people who fell off the wagon during the pandemic. I mean they shut down meetings for MONTHS here in Michigan. That aside though, it sounds like he knows exactly what he's doing and what he needs to do. He'll be back with a vengeance \m/
well he said "over the past 6 years", so this dates back to 2015 at least... i wonder what happened during that time..

But I do heroin everyday so I'm not judging. I'm 39 and been addicted to heroin for 20 years.

He's already filled in for at least 1 show for him before a while back. Guess it would depend what the whole mudvayne reunion is going to demand of Ryan. I know they had a few tour dates set up.

Keep your family and small amount of friends ya have together. Those around you who truely love you will completely understand abd support you every step of the way. They will cheak up on you.. inspire you n give you strength to over come what ever your facing.. if they dont, then they really dont care and only care about their own self, unless they are gping through it, or something similar at the same time as you but youll know who those are. I hope everything is okay with him and he gets the peace he is searching for. I have always loved fieldy for his unique sound from his bass playing that tells you it’s korn immediately no matter the song. I have been fortunate enough to see them twice with fieldy on the tour. ♥️

As a recovering heroin addict and alcoholic myself, I am not sure whats going on with Fieldy under the surface... but if it comes to his mental health and sobriety, I totally understand putting that first and ahead of anything that might jeopardize your sobriety. In my case, even if it entails distancing ones self from your family to stay sober. Because my family still drinks and I personally can not be around that because I know I will let my guard down and relapse. But if Fieldy is stepping down from that perspective and if he thinks staying in the band is putting his sobriety and mental health in jeopardy, I totally commend and respect him for stepping away from the band. I can only imagine how hard it must be to step away from something like your band and lifestyle that you worked so hard at to make successful and sacrificed so much for. That being the only thing you've ever known or been good at or continuously been doing for the past almost 30 years I cant even imagine how hard it must be, but imo if its putting your mental health and sobriety at risk then it would be a no brainer to step away and take myself out of that situation. I havent followed Korn in years, but in the 90s and early 00's they were a huge part of my life just like I am sure they are a huge part of everyone else's lives who are fans. But I literally taught myself how to drum playing along to David and Fieldy and helped me really understand the connection between the bassist and drummer. Even when Head left I personally couldnt imagine Korn without him but they still ended up finding success.. but same goes for Fieldy. I truly cant imagine Korn without him. He was and is the true original member of Korn. Back when him, David, and Monkey were in LAPD and transitioned into Korn.
