Heyy I just turned a month of being vegan and my only pet peeve was that almost all the sauces I had before that had some sort of dairy or eggs.. Sooo this vid is all I needed! Thx girls!!
So far a great experience! It really opened my eyes to soo many things, and I love that my relationship with food is so much better and I feel amazing! Also animal agriculture and animal ‘foods’ are deeply rooted in my country’s culture.. so watching your videos and other vegan channels is like a boost of motivation and escape from reality in a way so thanks again !
I have been a vegetarian in a meat eating family for a little over 6 months now, and I’m thinking about trying to slowly become vegan! I’ve been binge watching your guys’ channel, and it’s the best. Thank you for posting the most amazing content and encouraging people to try out this wonderful lifestyle! :)
That’s awesome Kerry!! We recommend starting with some simple swaps. Maybe try a vegan breakfast every day this week or find some new vegan dinner recipes to get excited about making this week. Make the process fun and full of delicious food!! It’s more of an adventure that way ☺️ Nikki and Nisha have a bunch of easy recipes on their UA-cam channels and some our guests like Lauren Toyota (Hot for Food), Jasmine and Chris (Sweet Simple Vegan) and Caitlin Shoemaker (From My Bowl) have awesome videos on their UA-cam channels to help give you some recipe inspiration 💚💚💚
@@TheVeganView So totally cool for you to put these suggestions. That is aside from the fact that this video with you three together is so inspirational and yummy. I have a 'Cheesy Sauce' recipe that I make with cashews that is loved by many. It can replace cheese, be used as a dip, or as pizza sauce with little alterations. I use yeast flakes to make it have a bold, meaty flavor.
Sauces are essential. I could eat the same veggies 3 days in a row but with a different sauce each time and it's a whole new meal (or at least experience)!
Back in the ‘90s, I lived in Portland, Ore. The local newspaper found recipes readers requested from local restaurants. I’ve had Benihana’s ginger dressing recipe since then. I’ll have to try yours as well. Btw, the easiest way to peel ginger is with the bowl part of a spoon. Weird, but it works. I can’t wait to try the roasted red pepper dressing!
Shout-out to Nicole for recreating the trader Joe's eggplant hummus! I've never been able to find it in MN and always wanted to see what the hype is about! 🙌
Yay! We hope you love it!! Let us know what you think if you try this recipe ☺️ Also since you’re from MN you should 💯 go check out Nicole’s Tater Tot Hot Dish recipe on her channel Nikki Vegan! 🥔🥔🥔🤗🤗🤗
My trader joes doesn't carry the eggplant hummus so I'm super excited to try it. I might sub pomegranate balsamic vinegar for the juice... I'll let you know!
Just a note, it doesn’t taste or work the same way with the juice ☺️ Nicole tester this recipe A LOT so she knows from experience lol hope you enjoy this hummus though! It’s so good!!
Yes! I'm so excited for this video! Your videos keep me going transitioning to a vegan lifestyle! I even showed my best friend your videos and she is also transitioning to a vegan lifestyle! Our husbands even are thinking about jumping on board!
Okay, that dill ranch though!? Holy crap. My biggest issue is I don't know how to consume in appropriate amounts... it's so good I could drink it! Thanks for sharing.
Hi! It's a salt cellar. It's like a salt shaker but I prefer it because it controls humidity so the salt stays fresh and I feel that it gives me more control over the amount of salt I use when cooking! It takes some getting used to but now I'm obsessed and can't go back to shakers! Mine's from sur la table but you can google it and find a bunch of different ones! -Nisha
Let us know if there's a specific sauce you're struggling with and we'll find you some recipes! Nicole also has a lot of sauces and dressings on her blog 💚
It would be cool and very professional if you guys had a studio kitchen and did all your recipes there in like a food network style cooking video where we can see your faces and it’s not voice overs. I really enjoyed this video though! I just thought that would be really cool and more professional looking since you’re kind of going for talk show vibes. It would be more like Rachel Ray’s show.
Yeah that would be so great!! You can help us achieve that dream by sharing our videos with your friends and on social media. It really helps spread the word and helps our channel grow ☺️☺️☺️
I love your channel but i dont like these type of videos, i love when you girls are opinionated just like when you did an episode with vegan hot topics, or reacting to bonny rebeca and the jubilee videos. You need to make more videos about it. You should take all the news from plant based news and react to them every week 😍
Thanks for the feedback! We love doing those kinds of videos (and actually have quite a few of them coming up so stayed tuned ☺️) We also like being able to share the recipes we love to show people that eating vegan food can be delicious and approachable. Hopefully that way there’s something for everyone on our channel ☺️💚hope you’re having a great Monday so far!
You can find that pomegranate molasses at most Mediterranean stores 🙌🏼
Sauce is life! ⭐️ Please do more of these!

That’s awesome!! Yeah sauces can really change the game! How has your first month been so far?

Yep! Love that approach 💚💚💚

I tried the soy ginger sauce... absolutely amazing
Right?? So glad you agree! We love it too
Okay, that dill ranch though!? Holy crap. My biggest issue is I don't know how to consume in appropriate amounts... it's so good I could drink it! Thanks for sharing.

Yummm!!!!! I vote for someone to recreate the TJs Creamy Cashew Fiesta Dip(:
Yasss!!! That stuff is so addicting lol
Hello Nisha,
What is that wood thing you keep your salt in?
Hi! It's a salt cellar. It's like a salt shaker but I prefer it because it controls humidity so the salt stays fresh and I feel that it gives me more control over the amount of salt I use when cooking! Could you just use pomegranate molasses for the TJ hummus instead of reducing pomegranate juice?
Gretchen S I was going to ask the same thing...
Yep! That works! It’s the same thing ☺️💚
Those all look good!
Yay! Thank you!! We’re happy to hear that! Enjoy 🙌
Thanks!! Can’t wait for you to try 🙌

Nicole, I bet you could use pomegranate molasses instead of reducing the juice. I use it all the time when I'm cooking middle Eastern inspired dishes.
Yep! It’s the same thing ☺️ using the juice may be a little more budget friendly but whatever is easier is best! 💚💚💚 enjoy!
I am desperate to go vegan and sauces and dressings are everything. I am making this tomorrow for my food!!
Let us know if there's a specific sauce you're struggling with and we'll find you some recipes! Nicole also has a lot of sauces and dressings on her blog 💚
Thanks vegan Angeles!
💚💚💚
"Especially now that it is summer time"
Me: I thought it was February... Am I losing my mind??
I think it was first from a video on her personal channel
Lol good catch! Yeah this is a recipe from Nicole’s channel called Nikki Vegan ☺️
It's summer in one hemisphere! 😂
Loooove these!!!
Yay! We’re so excited for you to make them!!
Thanx
Lovely no oil! 🌱❤️
Glad you liked these!!
Hi .. can i ask is the cashew use here is cooked or raw cashew ?
Raw but please soak first unless you have a high powered blender!
Noted with tks. Looking forward to make it 🥰
How long do these sauces can last?
couple of days in the fridge! 💚
What's the life of these sauces in the refrigerator?
The written instructions for the Benihana sauce is different from the video. Which one should I follow? I want to make it to eat with my soba noodles.
Either! 2 inches is pretty much the same as two tablespoons and one cup of diced onion is about the same as one onion! 😊
Okay, what about the lemon juice? Is it 2 T or 1/4 cup?
These sauces looked so good, but I gotta say that first one looked extra dillicious. 😏
Ya!! You gotta give it a try!! So
Bomb!
YUM!!!!
Are the cashews raw or roasted?
Raw ☺️💚
