I'm just glad to see that in not the only one eating lentil tacos in the morning! I do mine a little different, but it's mostly the same. I don't mix the cheese into the lentils directly. if you use a waterstone a lot, it can help to get one of the lapping/grinding stone they sell to re-flatten them. They're designed to wear down some, and if you favor certain parts of the stone, they can cup or get grooved
😮wow, I bought cumin from our internet shop, because cumin is not commonly used in cooking here😅🇨🇳and tried this recipe yesterday, and it tastes like eating meat! especially when you fry the taco not that crispy. Chef Derek Sarno is like a magician in cooking! Thx, chef Sarno.
I have done something similar with lentils before and based on that I can tell that this is good! Can't wait to give it a try. I have also mushed the lentils like beans and use them on "tostadas" {fry tortillas with all kinds of toppings} and it's good, I also started to use the non-fat Greek yogurt and to me is as good as regular sour cream.
This looks delicious! I’ve been trying to do more vegetarian dishes and I don’t like tofu or fake meats so I almost exclusively use lentils. Do you have a favorite vegetarian cheese? That’s been the hardest part for me - it seems an impossible task to find a believable fake cheese.
As always, you have excellent recipes that are easy to replicate. I am more grateful for the tips and techniques you mention on your videos while making the dish. Thanks for watching
if you use a waterstone a lot, it can help to get one of the lapping/grinding stone they sell to re-flatten them. They're designed to wear down some, and if you favor certain parts of the stone, they can cup or get grooved

Single cat lady dish too….
This is by far the best taco I’ve since going plant based in 2020! My family loved them and this will definitely become a regular in our home!
Great to hear!
Looks great, I need more lentils in my diet👍. What lentils did you use?
Green, brown or black work. Thanks for watching

Applewood smoked shreds here in the UK is pretty good. They all need some work, but still are better than dairy versions.
Haverstock White by Nettle is the best vegan cheese in the UK, made with Macadamia nuts. Amazing taste. Expensive but a worthwhile treat!
As always, you have excellent recipes that are easy to replicate. I am more grateful for the tips and techniques you mention on your videos while making the dish. I agree on the sharpest knife being the best knife, othjerwise there is no joy in cooking! What I learnt form you is to keep cleaning as you go, and after adopting this, I feel immensely satisfied at each of my cooking sessions, so, thank you!🙏
Comes running because of the cheese tax 😂😂😂
Every. Single. Time.
I just finished eating this and it is delicious indeed. It’s a keeper!
