I can’t even fly a Mavic 2 Pro in under 30 degrees Fahrenheit without a big hit to battery life and power. Maybe some of the drone issues were because of the extreme cold. Granted it’s still a piece of trash, but maybe it would’ve at least flown?

TMS Productions Yeah, you could tell from the indoor test flight it wasn’t going to amount to much, lol. I’ve had $20 micro toy drones that would at least hover in place for the most part.
Interesting video guys. A few observations and a quick warning for your watchers. Cheap Micro-SD Cards can often have a number of serious issues and they really need a lot more testing before you know they're any good or not. For example, did you know; 1) Relying on an operating system to report the capacity of an SD card isn’t good enough at it will generally read the capacity from the card itself. Cards can be re-programmed to report a fake capacity in your Operating System. Yep! 2nd) Writing data on its own isn’t a good test as fake cards will often just keep overwriting data previously written data. The *only* true test is to write data to the card and check that all the data can be read back successfully. 3rd) The 'Read Speed' also needs to be tested. For example, newer cameras require higher read speeds to operate properly. If the card can't read fast enough your footage will be corrupt or lost. Just a few tips in case others start buying from these knock-off sites. The old adage is true.... *You'll get what you pay for* .

The drone is probably for fun purposes rather than camera purposes. It should have a button, probably on the top right shoulder of the radio, which will make it perform an auto flip.
Pro tip, if you are going to use a shallow depth of feel, keep your items shown on the same plain. The constant focus shift is a real headache maker. Otherwise great video!
You made the wrong recommendation for the drone. Those indoor flight attempts saved this entire video. Comedy gold. Fly it indoor more often and watch the laughs and likes pour in.
I bought a Potensic T18 for about $79 and it was the cheapest drone I could find with GPS. And it works, so I would suggest just learning to fly with something like this and then pony up for some sort of DJI

How to be a better filmmaker: don't blow 40% of the budget on a toy... that money could have bought a useful bi-color led light, 5-in-1 bounce, maybe a glide-cam or other manual stabilizer. I’m not glad the SD card failed on you, but I also sort of am. I purchased one off Wish a couple years ago and lost almost off the pics I took at my nephew’s wedding (thankfully I wasn’t the principle photographer). Hopefully your experience will warn several others away. Also want to mention that in my experience Wish actually has pretty good customer service. When my card failed (and on several other items ordered) when I contacted customer service they immediately issued me a full refund and has never asked me to send back the defective (or wrong, they get orders wrong a lot, in my experience) items. That doesn’t help when you’ve lost all your pictures or videos though...
You can get a Yongnuo 50mm f1.8 Canon lens for $50 other places. Looks a little different than the one you got I think, even though you bought a Yongnuo with the same specs, but anyway it's honestly the best lens for a beginner on a budget. I've recommended it to 2 different people and they've both loved it. They use it way more than their kit lens.
I don’t recommend buying storage devices of Wish, that SD Card was probably not even made by Huawei. I once purchased a 64GB USB drive off eBay (this was at a time when they were expensive) I run a basic storage test and it was only able to write about 16 GB. I have a video about it on my channel. BTW that is not to say that Wish is bad, you can actually grab some epic stuff there. I’m in the middle of testing a Camcorder from Wish which I will upload a video real soon!
100% of the items on Wish can be found cheaper on Ebay. They usually change the name of the item on Wish so you don't discover this. Just read the description on Wish and look for details that give a model or copy the entire description and Google the description. You'll find the item on search that will give you it's real name/model then go to Ebay and you'll find international sellers, just like Wish, that offer it cheaper and always free shipping. Why would you not compare prices by doing a Google search afterward?
I started with that same YN 50mm and even if it's not sharp and flimsy it's a good product for beginners and better than the kit lens for photographers, If you can add some money go for the Canon tho
If you're into video drones with gps and live feed a xiaomi funsnap is really afordable and has a pretty high quality camera and you could use an app to control it (they do sell you a controller included it cost 200 usd more) but the lowest price i found on amazon is 159$ usd
6:07 before I even see this part I will tell you it will say the 512 amount on the PC, not because it's actually the size said but rather it's creating a false report to your OS to make it look 512
What you did doesnt test it at all. You have to use a program to fully write and then real all the files written to see if it is overwriting everything. I had a 256 gb that only effectively wrote 32 gb
I ordered some counterfeit Huawei sd cards, they are marked U3 but my camera said no way and they are slow AF. I doubt they are actually the size they are labeled either.
For the drone not recording, did you put a memory card in it? I mean it's probably thrown out by now and after seeing that final indoor crash into the wall, I cant help but wonder how the footage would've looked if in fact it couldnt record simply because of no Micro sd card / TF card xD
The sd card won't actually have 512 GB. The manufacturer can change the code of the sd card to kind of 'hack' it into showing the computer 512 gigs. The sd card is probably only ~32 gb or 64.
the sd card says 500gb but it deletes data off once you go over the limit and it goes to 500 but it really doesnt just keeps deleting older file to replace itself
You could write 512gb of data on the SD-Card but the problem is that after you've filled up whatever space it would have normally it will start corrupting/damaging the files And also Huawei doesn't make normal SD-Cards
Doubt the SD card is genuine. It is not too difficult to make the SD card report to the PC "Hey, I'm 500GB" while in reality it holds 32G, 16G, or even less. Just enough that once you fill it up beyond that point it will start corrupting data by overflowing and writing over old data, they are hoping by the time you notice it's beyond the return period. It is possible to flash the embedded controller to report the correct capacity, but often the cards are junk and just not worth it.
Hey just letting you know the SD card is no where near 512gb use an actual disk testing software since they can flash the firmware to make the card seem more than it Is

I needed a laugh sooooo bad. That drone! 🤣 Thanks for the entertainment!
Great insight here guys, really enjoyed the video
I heard Kelowna and thought my ears heard wrong! Nice to see a youtuber from my province! Cheers
you can get a vintage lens that cheaper than that 7:56 and has more great optical performance in terms of sharpness
just check takumar lens
The drone wants to kill your camera guy 😂😂
Dude! instant Sub! that opening sequence was dope!
Bruh I had the 50mm 1.8. I use it for wedding photography recently and yep, so good.
Ridiculous, but brilliant intro. You are underrated!
For the drone not recording, did you put a memory card in it? I mean it's probably thrown out by now and after seeing that final indoor crash into the wall, I cant help but wonder how the footage would've looked if in fact it couldnt record simply because of no Micro sd card / TF card xD
Always fun to see a first drone flight indoors lol
You can get that lense at the store at around that price anyway.
The sd card won't actually have 512 GB. The manufacturer can change the code of the sd card to kind of 'hack' it into showing the computer 512 gigs. The sd card is probably only ~32 gb or 64.
Yup, the Okanagan can get cold. Cheers from Vernon!
the sd card says 500gb but it deletes data off once you go over the limit and it goes to 500 but it really doesnt just keeps deleting older file to replace itself
That SD card is nowhere near 512 gb, try and write anything over like 2 gb to it and you will get errors or it will delete old stuff
drones with "wifi fpv" usually are hot garbage, or in your case below 0 garbage. the exceptions to this rule are well over $100 usd :D great video!
Haha, definitely have to agree on that one!
I was thinking about this idea glad y'all did it 🔥
wide lens is not wide but mic is surprisingly good for that price
Where is drone captured footage?
So you bought a drone for filmmaking and surprised when it has a camera?
firstly the SD card is fake the pc recognizes it but that's not true.
2. You can pull out the cell phone holder even further
You really didnt have to do that “i didnt see you there” on the intro
😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂this video is so honest 😂😂😂😂😂😂😂my stomach is hurting from laughing at the end!😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂 I'm subscribing now
I just love the content you guys put out. Thank you.
Thank you!
15:41 Why would you get a spark when you can get a mini for the same price??
Great video man it was entertaining 😂👊🏻
Thank you!
You could write 512gb of data on the SD-Card but the problem is that after you've filled up whatever space it would have normally it will start corrupting/damaging the files
And also Huawei doesn't make normal SD-Cards
13:31 My problem exactly! All I have is a 50mm lens to film on
Doubt the SD card is genuine.
When you don't know how to fly a drone, so your first flight is inside.
