I don't think that minimalism is about functionality. It's more of a "it doesn't take much space when you're not using it" for most items and "it's useful and doesn't take much time + nothing useless that makes place messy" for a whole house overall (i won't buy those action figurines, they take so much space, useless, dusty and make my room feel more like a storage)

Fun fact: The "zero-tolerance" desk toys do use EDM to cut the shapes, but the two pieces are cut from separate stock.
EDM can do ultra precise cuts, but it also does have a cut width so to get zero gap you need to use 2 parts.

So yes, you can buy a whole other setup for grinding your own coffee, but you can also just buy the coffee already ground for you, so you just have that machine.
P.s. drink your coffee however YOU like it, not how others think you should have it.

Also, i want to mention that the kettle he showed is pretty overprized for a premium gooseneck kettle. Take the Fellow Stag EKG for example, which looks better imo, has precise temperature control and a timer and costs around $165. There is even the Fellow Stag EKG Pro for $195, which adds a color lcd display and a couple of smart features, as well as the Studio Edition with a glass base for $225. So all of those are significantly cheaper and have more functionality. (i'm not trying to advertise Fellow specifically, they just have the best looking kettle imo)

I'd want a Vestax sideways turntable meant to be played strapped over your shoulder, like an 80s KB solo makin' Lead singers & guitarists look even cooler, hehe. They claimed most of their decks would play sideways but sadly I never found out. That pamphlet introduced the worlds only DIY Vinyl Lathe to cut test-press/one-offs from special "12in blank records" (~$20). Iirc it had big Temp indicator and Pressure dial for you to keep temp in green for best cut. Opposite that was a normal tonearm+stylus to check if your 'freshest cut' came out. Cost like $3-6k did not do well as high cost limited it's penetration & Vestax gear had NEW features but plastic build quality did not compare to $800 military grade technics 1200s. Also soon after this $1k Final Scratch was announced and scratch demos sounded good. Allowed mixing, scratching ANY TRACK (mp3s or even video!) Make every DJ setup into a controller via $30 Timecode Vinyls on your current mixer, etc! Burn free Timecode Albums to add a CD Decks to your controller. Thx man made me all nostalgic bro :D

Never seen this channel. Very elaborate person. Wasn‘t aware there is something like this.
I witness this: a very wealthy youtuber buys expensive gadgets that most people can‘t afford, shows us that by always displaying a fancy office. All this while either writing the gimmicks off as business expense, or, more likely, has some vendor deal behind and get‘s them for free or gets his channel sponsored by them.
And all of this has 8mill views. Jeez. What a phantastic self-propelling system.
Going off of it now, I need to break the algorithm.
EDIT: went down youtubes memory lane and just watched a 7 year old upload of his. Respect mate, you already achieved a lot and you did what you envisioned. I respect that guys/your dedication - and I respect the work. This has been a ton of work!
That said, it doesn‘t give me much and the older I get, the more superfluous I tend to find these things.
    Good on ya and G‘bye!

The metal minimalist fidget toy is not "vapourised" to form cuts, the 2 parts are cut from different pieces and to achieve the seamless look they are then put together and the face is then machined off again, giving it the same direction lines/textures

The surf shark thing isn't totally accurate. All a VPN is doing is changing the IP the site/tool you are connecting to sees. It doesn't hide your IP from your ISP.
    ISP->IP->You->VPN IP->Connecting Site
What it would potentially help with is if your ISPs routing is bad to a location, forcing it to a location first, which is what a VPN is doing, can help route traffic better.
In the vast majority of scenarios though a VPN will actually slow down anything you are doing, whether that slow down is measurable or not depends.

Umm no, what's really happening is ISP's can only see you reaching out to the VPN's IP, ISP's can't really see what you are doing because the traffic is encrypted for VPNs and everything you browse is going through VPN' tunnel.

@@YankeeTM in that case, it's a matter of net neutrality, not just purely a speed limiter. Like when Comcast would slow down your internet when they see you're streaming Netflix; a competing tv provider.

I absolutely adore how you guys take the effort to theme your whole room and the video editing to the style of the products that you're buying, and even find completely different places to film the video at, just to make the vibe of the theme stronger. It's such a pleasant detail, even though it probably takes a lot of effort planning how to make the video much more minimalist and chill than usual. Great work!

Watching you review the turntable gave me a serious flashback & had me chuckling the whole time. I couldn't help but think of the one piece of tech that ensured my last summer in my suburban hood before venturing to college was a thoroughly enjoyable & memorable one. My gear did what needed doing, but is so far along the spectrum from yours, it might even be on another one. 😆
While it couldn't be considered minimalist, it was extreme in one aspect, it weighed next to nothing. Let me first tell y'all how i acquired it. Long ago, way back in the olden days, when albums of popular music started being sold, someone decided to adapt the 'Book Club' model for selling books to sell albums. Essentially, you sign up to receive an album every month, where you pick the genre & they pick the album. You can pass on ones you don't want, but you're obliged to buy a certain number within a year. In order to make the offer more enticing, they had gifts to lure you in. I know some of you will have a hard time visualizing a low tech world, but this was way back, even before boom-boxes & Walkmans. The 'gift' i got, was called a stereo. It consisted of an AM/FM receiver & turntable unit with 2 speakers that could be unplugged & traded out if better was available. The plastic housing was a lovely black charcoal & the transparent turntable cover was tinted black. It actually wasn't that big, conveniently fitting in a standard garbage bag & so light you only needed one hand to carry it. Throw in the extension cord from the lawnmower & we were good to go. Our suburb was a bit rural, so there was always a house next to a farmer's field or patch of wood where we could trail out the cord & disappear. It was a truly splendid summer. Oh my, it's been 50 years, suddenly i feel old.

41:09 this was one of the most impressive things about vinyls when my dad used his, was that you just turn it on and this mechanical arm with no imput just moves over to the exact spot and then just plays music. That blew me away more than any modern piece of technology which is so odd but I think it was just so unexpected
