The dust isnt on the lens since the lens is shaking and the spots stay still, its most likely on the sensor. If you would put rods under it and a support for the lens, plus a bigger fluid head to get it stable it would prob. get sharper as well. The flexing on the mount/lens usually effects the focus alot.
Thats interesting. But still, I think it could be dust in some of the inner elements of the lenses. Do you have a source for that? My comments are mere opinions since I havent done a deep research on the optics of, well, sensors themselves :p
Not always, most looking for a cheap lens usually can't afford something that costs 20 or in some cases, 100 times more for this kind of focal range and something is better than nothing. A telescope with a Barlow lens (reversing the image would be required in processing) may produce better images or maybe not because daytime is always harsh on both cheap and expensive lenses because you are also magnifying the atmosphere which would degrade image quality no matter the price you pay for a lens. Stopping down this lens with an aperture mask would increase its image quality but the biggest issue i see with this is not the optics but the tripod connection, not being able to slide it up and down to give more stability, one way around this would be to fit a long cheap dovetail bar to the bottom of it, not perfect but for someone on a budget, could work.
The dust in the image is actually from the sensor, high apertures like f64 can reveal the dust on sensors very easily. Make sure to keep your speedbooster and sensor clean! You can clean your speedbooster with some eclipse fluids + pecpads, which are also the best cleaning solution for lenses. And for the sensor you can just use a mft sensor swab to clean it. Also don't forget a heliopan IR cut filter. There seems to be quite a bit of ir pollution in your image. Very fascinating videos with those lenses tho!
Is it fascinating though? The quality was never going to be good. With a sensor size like that, diffraction will start at f/5, regardless of the lens used. And that's why the image is soo soft. The bigger the sensor and the lower the megapixels, the longer it takes for diffraction to be visible. This is one reason why all smartphone sensors are f/1.8 or so, because at that sensor size, anything over f/2.5 will start showing diffraction. Anyone who uses real lenses though, knows that even on wide angle, f/4 would be better, even if you're almost always in infinite focus on a regular wide angle smartphone lens, f/4 or so on a wide lens will look sharper. It just won't on a smartphone because the sensor is soo small. Even APSC cameras with say 24MP, have a hard limit for diffraction starting at about f/6.
@@peoplez129 The pocket has a 9mp sensor, so diffraction isn't gonna kick in until around f/11, and for that price you are getting a pretty interesting perspective with the lens being super telephoto.
Here is my question...why stack 2 teleconverters and a telecompressor. Replace the telecompressor with a straight EF-MFT adapter and you got a 6400mm lens in FF equivalent on the Micro 4/3 BMPCC4K. Now its *only* a 4300mm FF equivalent or so.
At first I was thinking that the telephoto lens would be unbearably shaky because the BMPCC 6K doesn't have any sensor stabilization, but I honestly don't think sensor stabilization would make much difference at that focal length... and honestly not too bad, for all things considered
This was incorrect in one respect: a converter does not change the aperture of a lens (it only changes the focal length). Also an f/64 would be a SMALLER aperture than an f/32- so it doesn't "double" the way most people would think. The larger the f-number, the smaller the aperture.
Well if you want a manual telephoto zoom lens thats cheap but actually worth the money there are many old lenses of the film era ;) Pretty much every manufacturer made a 70-210, 80-200 or even 100-300 and they can be had for less than 100 bucks depending on the model. Some good offers are: vivitar series1 70-210, minolta 70-210 or 100-300 (there are many great versions), all the tokina at-x versions, canon fd 80-200, yashica 80-200, etc.... Or go with primes and enjoy better image quality, there are hundreds of very solid 135mm's, plenty of good 200mm's and even some great 500mm mirror lenses from tokina and various russian manufacturers that go for 50-150 bucks.
10:48 Yooo 😂🤦🏻♂️ I was so confused, thinking where's the other guy, thinking you keep appearing on both sides WTH. Turns out it's two of you 😂, well that makes more sense.
Wow, you guys are almost at 100k. Congrats in advanced! Such a fun team. I've really enjoyed your videos. Hope you guys continue to make videos together for a long long time.
Just going to say when using a larger lens like that telephoto lens it is better for the camera to put the lens on the tripod. It is even better if you use a telephoto support as it will support both the lens and the camera and not have to worry about stress breaking your camera with the lens weight... Also the telephoto support also helps allow you to change the mounting point to the tripod so that the whole setup is more centered on the tripod to hopefully help reduce the shake.
Nicely done guys! Wow, looking at the last 'Cheapest Gear' video you did with 298K views...I think you'll recoup the costs. Looks like your onto something here with these videos..keep up the great work! I always enjoy your videos....you've got a great team put together.
even though it doesn`t say so on the site, the action cam turned out to be an "SJCAM", which is a serious competitor for GoPro. The price is usually around 100 $ - 250 $, depending on the model. The "SJCAM SJ8 Pro" is my current action cam and I am loving it.
I should thank your for the inspiration for my underwater test.... I *maaay* have modeled off of your video a little bit. But imitation, oops I mean inspiration, is the most sincere for of flattery. And I daresay that my 'swim by' footage was cooler cause I had bubbles in mine. Still digging your videos, and i wish you well in all your careers!
I think the action cam was actually 720p at 24fps or something and the image out of the lens seemed quite noisy, but that's probably the ISO and the sensor considering you had to compensate f64
The Rayleigh criterion restricts this lens to a best-case resolution of 530 x 230 on a 4/3 sensor if you use both teleconverters. It would need to have an aperture of 400mm to be able to resolve up to 4K.
The lens is a joke, but it would help if you use the mount at the middle to attach it to the tripod. A sturdier tripod would help too. Still, quite entertaining video, as usual.
i bought what was advertised as martin strings from wish, at a price so low it had to be a con, and eventually, when the strings arrived and i put them on, the ball ends shot off before half way tuned. i don't see the point in making something, that will fall apart before you use it, if you're going to that effort, why not make something that at least people will repeat buy....
This is my first time watching this channel and I thought I was being trolled I was like how is he in both places then he said twins (me: oh) I thought so
Awesome content guys. I love your videos especially your photography battle videos. I found your videos when I searched for Sam Kolder, your Sam Kolder video was awesome. Maybe you guys should do a action camera photography challenge.
It doesn't look like a real SJCam. The original has a different packaging. But I agree ... if someone is interested in an affordable good Actioncam, have a look at the SJ10 PRO or the once from Xiaomi.
That's because they didn't mount the tripod from the lens collar and instead mounted the tripod way too close to the camera. Also, using two tripods helps even more.
this is the first video i ever watched from you and i got so confused at the part where they tried out the telescope lens because i didnt know there was two of yoh hahaha
These videos are really good but honestly, for the action camera I would just recommend you to save up a little more and get a used GoPro, no matter the version of it, it will definitely be better than the action cam and you can get a hero 3 or 4 for even as low as ~US$150
This is excellent! I've lived with someone who avidly purchased from Wish, but I never considered trying their camera or light products. We have a video series on the making of the pilot for our tv series, if you're interested in checking it out. Maybe we will order some of these products :D

när kommer det mer battleraps critical?
@@JeffBorgesPlays no it depends on the f stop. Pull it down to 14 and you will see stuff you most likely wouldnt at 2.0, if your sensor is dirty.

I saw that too...
What would happened if you just ordered a 1.6x tele converter? :-)

I wouldn't recommend buying any of these off wish just looking for things on wish and then buying them elsewhere
Yeah, a lot of things are even cheaper other places. Oh yeah, shipping is less than 3 months on those!
Look on Wish if you want, but buy on Aliexpress
This can snap the lens mount, if it's heavy enough. That's why there is a tripod mount on the lens - it would help with the shaking too..
I was almost sure the weight of the telephoto lens would snap in half
