The burden of proof lies within the accusation... just because of those cases... but nowadays there are movements trying to change the burden of proof to the one being accused.... crazy, right?
@@BlaxeFrost-X The basis for this anime started at least 6 years ago, long before any of those movements even came to be. It's likely just because the story takes place in a medieval fantasy world, where stuff like witch hunts and executions without trial were normal AKA no real evidence necessary to convict somebody of a crime and get away with it, while all three of the other heroes stubbornly follow the idea that they're in a fantasy MMORPG, which often have it where you never really know what abilities another player has until they use them, meaning they might be hiding a really useful power they have, and there's no real reason to doubt what the "Non-Player Characters" say as being lies to trick you.

@@protagonistv8587 I know that there wasn't anyone with this ability, but they could have used an ability that nullifies magic. From then on they would have to believe Naofumi and co since his shield would be in default mode so he wouldn't be able to re-cast it.

@@nazrulnadziruddin9641 He very much is one... same with our little bow fellow. But while Ren did probably read more recent Japanese novels - Itsuki did read old European hero stories (mostly those written past middle ages) and haves a hard on for Robin (no homo ^^;).
Out of two -Itsuki is much worse. Ren at least haves some self-critique and does not want to be in spotlight by any possible means. Itsuki however haves his little world where he is supposed to be 'the bestest evaa'.

Myne is definitelly an interesting character for an Isekai series, pretty unique I might say. I mean, the feelings she give to me are so intense, real, poweful. Like when I see her I can only think 'bout destroying her face, burning it, watching the expressions and all even tho I consider myself a pretty peaceful guy.

I think it was made, because her fate will be worst than just death. Like, then you write character that bad, you need it to die horribly, or atone at the end(but we all know that is not the case). We haven't had this in any anime for a long time. Most antagonists in anime had valid reasons. But this series, we have really biased antagonists now. Unless there's some history way back why they dislike the Shield Hero so much they go that far bringing him down.

@@mangahell8177 Ren has issues in that even after he acknowledges that the world isn't a game he sucks at teamwork and is too proud to ask for help.
For instance when the queen notices that the three heroes are just relying on levels and haven't had any formal training in how to use their weapons. Which results in lower level people being able to beat them because they don't know how to fight properly. She tries to convince Ren to take combat lessons from a professional knight named Eclair but he refuses to accept help and is left weaker because of it.
Or when the heroes learn that they have each been using different methods to power up their weapons Naofumi copies the other heroes methods in addition to his own to become stronger but Ren refuses to believe the other methods exist and thinks the other heroes are lying to him.
Or during the turtle fiasco where he rushes ahead of his party and all his friends who were good people that trusted him completely end up dying because he was reckless.
Or when he trusts Malty dispite the fact he knows she has already betrayed Naofumi and the spear hero. He then gets betrayed by her and as a result of this trauma unlocks two curse series weapons and instead of seeking help lets the weapons dive him insane and ends up becoming a bandit chief.

@@mangahell8177 He also refuses help and the power up methods but rather then die his party just abandons him when they realise he can't win, After Malty betrays Ren she goes to Isuki he gets a brain washing bow from the curse series and tries to start a cult till Naofumi and Ren along with Risha (who he had previously framed for a crime she didn't commit and almost driven to suicide) knock some sense back into him.
Spoilers in one of the Curse series There is a mind control Ability I Won’t say no more And who gets it
Spoiler ren gets gluttony series. That means her gets 2x ep for each person he kills and when u stop using it you lose a level

Myne... I'm getting pissed off a lot. 3 heroes know well enough that Myne lied and set up Naofumi before and they're just gonna believe such a ridiculous accusation?! Naofumi can possess people with his shield?! Then he'd possess your stupid ass too.
That part of writing for this story always pissed me off. That's not how people act. Even idiots would see that something's wrong with Myne since she's trying SO HARD to frame Naofumi for EVERYTHING, ALL THE TIME. Hell, they even took his side once before. (Sword and Bow hero)
I know that some people are now gonna try to defend that part of this show/novel but I just can't see how that part is good writing... Ren seems to be the only one to see something's wrong...
NOW, don't get me wrong. All the other parts of this show, I absolutely LOVE! Writing around Myne is my only gripe.

This episode had me on my seat the whole time! Myne just induces the rage, the willingness to send someone to a fate worse than death. But on a side note Happy belated Chibi!!!
the 13th episode of the rising of the shield hero was great and the new intro and outro was amazing. Seeing the Knights spread rumours around about Naofumi wasn't a surprise to me but was still annoying after episodes of people trusting him, finding out that the king was adopted into royalty was interesting but it makes scene since the queen is higher in the pecking order. The whole cornering scene near the middle of the episode was pretty good seeing all the heros again in one area but she had to appear and make some b.s up about brainwashing powers. I'm glad Naofumi each episode is learning to control his rage shield more and more tho it is being used quite a lot. I'm glad the other hero's aka sword and bow aren't just accepting malty's barrage on Melty and the others. The ending scene was nice but scary in the fact that a random bit of Forrest was burned down.

What surprises me the most from this episode it's that HUGE spoiler from the Island arc! I though the anime would end with the Queen's return, but judging from the pace at which it's moving, I can see that arc squeezed at the end, and OH BOI it's a good arc xDD
