I was able to loosen the nuts with my hand.
Thanks for this helpful video. I really thought I was going to spend a day having to dig up the manifold and replace individual valves.
this helped solve my issue, thanks!
Awsome, that's what I am here for.
Thanks, very useful. Is it a concern that there is always standing water in the box? I live in the NW and it always has rain water.
If the ground is saturated either from the weather or a leak there will be water in there. Use water tight electrical connections and fix any leaks, and it should be fine. Thanks for watching.
Hi
Awesome video! I have a zone for the flowerbeds that won't turn off. Long story,, but I want to keep that zone shut. If I cut the wires to the solenoid, will that valve stay shut? Thanks a ton and hope you would respond to this. Jay. 🙏
If the diaphragm is no good cutting the wires will not shut it off.
There should be a valve somewhere that will cut water to it though.
Anyone have any tips on how to find the valve I have looked all over my yard I've only found one of the four zones
You could get one of these tools. amzn.to/3cNUETp
Hook it to the wires on the control panel and the signal will lead you to the valve.
I gave him high five
Question what if other zones are trying to turn on but for some reason one zone stays on whole time even when u disconnect the wire to the timer and still running? Cause its switching zones from the timer but that one zone stays on?
If you disconnected the wires going to the valve and it keeps running the diaphragm in that valve is probably bad.
Does this work on any irrigation system? I have a Carson Industries set up.
They are all very similar.
@@GrimRepair thank you. Just wanted to make sure before I started tinkering with my sprinklers.
@@blanko_sama8049 No problem, thanks for watching.
Could a bad cylinoid cause the same problem?
Yes
Should have flushed the system before putting new diaphragm and cleaned the area where the new diaphragm sits
Pumped the water out too
Just little details
I have 4 stations that run in sequence at 15 minutes each. When #4 is complete, #1 starts the whole sequence over again. What's going on? I've cleared and reset the timer....date, time, how often, run time, everything.
Sounds like your controller is bad or programed wrong.
Why didn’t you pump the water out?
The valve is the low point, it would have taken a while. There wasn't any visible dirt getting into it. it wasn't nessasary its been years now with no problems.
Righty tighty lefty loosy. Every backflow valve is lefty loose ninety degrees. U also only need to close one valve but two
Wouldn’t hurt ya
