After watching more than a dozen videos on sprinkler repairs and adjustments, this is the only one that covers the most common problems you can have with sprinkler repairs, maintenance and installation. Plus, it’s well made, organized, and with clear instructions to address each issue. Congratulations and thank you.
Thanks for watching and glad to help!
Agreed!!
I totally agree. Thank you so much!!
Thanks for making this vid. The written instructions that come with the Orbit rotor sprinkler are terrible (I think they don't want customers to be able to easily install and adjust themselves).
Your in depth breakdown is much appreciated
Clear demonstrations and descriptions. Thank you for creating such a useful video!
Thanks! With the timeline up front, I was able to go directly to the part of the video that addressed my problem without watching a lot of unnecessary stuff. Great job explaining everything.
Well, as virtually everyone else who has commented, this was by far, one of the most helpful videos on fixing common sprinkler problems. Fortunately, you covered the issue I needed help with and now I'm off to the hardware store to get an extender. Thank you for this post.
Thanks , very informative , down to earth information. Thanks again.
Very Kule the way you organize the videos..getting to the part you need. Thanks!
This was by far the most helpful video; thank you!
Thank you for the concise yet extremely informational tutorial. Good luck with your channel!
Outstanding instructions!

Glad it was helpful!
Great descriptions, thx❤
Great video that last tip is definitely worth the watch
Awesome tips, thanks, made the job easier!
Great video! What can I do with some areas that don't get enough water? The sprinkler over throws in areas I want the water to hit but close and around the sprinkler it gets wet but water does not go in deep in the soil.
Wow! A timeline?? FANTASTIC!!! Thank you!
You're very welcome!
Very helpful!
Great information. Thanks for sharing. On the Hunter rotary heads you can just twist the head to what ever fixed point you want to set it to when it pops up to spray. At least on mine you can.
Very helpful, thanks!
Excellent video. Thank you!
Great video. I'm new to the sprinkler game so this video helped much!

Very good narration, he spoke clearly and the visuals were done well. I watched the video to help me with my sprinkler issues. I learned a lot and this really helped me.
I have the Rain Bird RD1800. One of the sprinklers is not coming up from the ground & the water pressure is not doing anything. Should I replace the part?
Very helpful. Thanks
Glad it was helpful!
I'd say an important note for the first section at 1:24 is the knowledge of the nozzle type. For Rainbird or Hunter sprays, check the model number of the nozzle on the top of the nozzle on the opposite side from where the water is spraying. It will say something like 10H, 12Q, or 15VAN on it. This indicates the spray distance, and spray pattern. 10H = 10 feet, half circle spray - so 180 degree spray. 12Q = 12 feet quarter spray - 90 degrees. VAN nozzles are variable nozzles, and are the type he is working with at 2:30 in the video where you can change the spray pattern of the nozzle. These typically break/clog easier than stationary nozzles like 10H or 12Q nozzles because they have smaller moving parts that allows the variable spray nature.
Identifying whether the spray head itself is broken or if the nozzle is just chipped/clogged can be a big time saver, as screwing a nozzle off/on is far easier than replacing the whole head.
Thanks for the video, I purchased a house which is over 20 years old with an irrigation well pump for the sprinkler system. Front yard pop ups are not popping all the way up when using the RainBird ESP controller in the house, but when I turn the valve on from the gound box they work fine with no problems (Valves are CP-100). Any suggestions on what I may need to do to fix this issue?
Pressure loss is either caused from water escaping somewhere in the system from a broken pipe or leaky valve, or from not enough water getting pumped. If you can run the valves individually with good pressure, it means the water is escaping somewhere when the whole system is running.
1. Broken heads, broken nozzles, or broken zone pipes can lead to pressure loss. Walk your property with the water running and inspect the heads individually. Check the surrounding turf to see if there's any water coming up from underground. If you find a broken pipe or water bubbling from under the turf, that is more than likely the source of the pressure loss.
2. Check if your system is running more than one zone at the same time on the controller. Look at the run times on the controller. Make sure there's not multiple programs running on the same days/times that would lead to several valves being open at the same time.
3. One of your valves might not be closing all the way when the zone turns off. See which zone has low pressure, i.e. zone 3 is low pressure, and check if the zone 2 valve closed tightly or if there is water leaking from the valve. A previous valve not closing all the way can mean water is still running into the zone pipes for that valve, and not all funneling into zone 3.
4. If it's not any of those, you likely have some sort of pump or mainline disfunction that would need professional help unfortunately.
excellent video
Thanks!
You’re awesome!
I noticed this was in front of your home..i have same problem...do i need to shut of water from main line in front where sidewalk(city) is..or as long as my valve is off i can do it?
You should be fine with your valve shut. Never hurts to turn off the main line though just to be safe.
might want to change out of the Js before working in the yard
I have rainbird sprinkler and I turn it off for the winter last year and when I try to turn it back on for the spring, the water won’t come on.
I’ve never been able to adjust the rotors *before* installing them, I just put them in & if the fixed stop isn’t right, I just gently grab the stem & rotate it. I’ve done this for 20yrs this way...🤷🏻♀️ Same with the misters.
My sprinkler is tilted sideways once screwed into the fitting.... How do you fix that
My sprinkler problem is riser won't rise so I digged it up and pulled out the whole thing. Went to home depot and got the exact one. Putted it in and turn on the sprinkler and still won't rise. Completely loss because it is a brand new sprinkler. Do you know what i did wrong?
The line that feeds that sprinkler head could be clogged. Run that zone with the head removed and make sure there’s flow. Less likely but possible is an underground leak
One section of my sprinklers won’t work but the rest are working fine, what should I do?
You have to locate the solenoid that controls that zone. Dig it up and replace it. If you’ve never done that before puts best to call an irrigation service. The underground valve is hard to find without the proper equipment
why is garden hose fully extended (2:17) when you have a sprinkler system you can put the hose away.
I had rose bushes far away on the other side of my driveway that I decided to water since I was working on the landscaping that day.
He can you please make video. why all sprinkler does not go down.
Thanks for the rec, I'll see if I can get around to it!
What happen to the Septic tank, if you don’t replace the Sprinkler
My rain bird always goes about 95% to the right, but then stops rotating.. If I push it the extra 5%, it completes the cycle, but again stops ~95% to the right (regardless of how I set the spray-arc)..
Cleaned thoroughly with hot soapy water and a toothbrush, but keeps doing the same thing.
It’s broken. Replace it
Jordans 2s for yard work!!??
😂
What’s only 2 out of 5 it’s working.
🤗🙏👍
Pro tip, Don't saw your sprinklers in half with a new edger....
didnt cover an impact sprinkler head....
That’s in a different video
why don't u bother to clean the threads on the riser nipples?
So confusing
The last fix with 2” sprinkler. How do you compensate for the 2” stem. That should have been dug up and replaced with a 4”. You won’t get same throw off your nozzles so if your at the end of a 15’ nozzle you will get dead grass. If you did this at my house I would fire you
Did you even watch the video? He explained that the 2” pop up worked just fine for his application. He also explained that if you really need a 4” just dig it up and buy a direct replacement. And you can’t fire him - he’s just a UA-camr. SMH
Clear as mud
This video was at the level of a 5th grader but you couldn’t understand it. Ouch
