yes no one should have to go through what he endured. esp. at the hands of others. they think they had the right to do what they did. but ahmaud had no rights, but to surrender to them. and they were complete and total strangers, armed at that. if i came at someone like they did i would not be surprised if they fear for their life. not even common sense, but human instinct.

I don’t know about y’all but if I was chased, yelled out by two men in a truck, who showed me they have a gun, I think my instinct when the guy got out with his gun, is do exactly what Ahmad Arbery did, and fight for my life…he already tried to flee, next thing to do is…grab the gun from him. Anyone who says the victim was wrong in this are prob just like the men who thought they could get away with it!

Defense should stop bad mouthing the black clergy that are attending. Instead ask them all to pray for their clients! Cause they need help! And travis already appeared guilty sitting in the courtroom . On the witness stand he looked 1000 times more guilty. Fake tears wouldn't have drowned an ant. And didn't convince anyone either. Just crying for himself, cause he knows what it is like for last year to not be able to go home. No remorse, no thought of someone else's life taken. Just let me out of here. He killed a man and put himself exactly where he is now. Sad

Unfortunately thats what's wrong in the world today. Crime is running rampant. Police can't be everywhere and sometimes the people have to protect their property and themselves. Maybe not the best way to handle things, but I don't think it was intentional until guy tried to take gun. Then it could have been either one could have been shot. Going for gun was not the smartest move. He could have waited and ask the guys why they were after him and not have kept running as if he was guilty of something.. Travis said he never said anything. I think if it had been me getting chased, I would have been screaming and yelling HELP!! to get someone to call police. Or Hey I didn't do anything! Sad, but I think it was an unfortunate chain of events that ended up in fight for gun. I couldn't call that murder. Maybe manslaughter.

This is normal in the south. Everybody has a gun down here. And I live about an hour west of Brunswick. I mean you come into my neighborhood. We all pretty know each other, there’s a couple families I don’t know but I know them when I see them. I know what they drive when they come by and where they live and all. This behavior is not uncommon down here especially in your smaller towns. It is proven by video that he was going into a house that was being built, that does not belong to him. If he were to come to my neighborhood and done what he did, and I seen him. I would have approached him too. A lot of people would have. I would’ve asked him what he was doing and tried to find out what’s going on. Would I have brought a gun with me. Hell no. That’s where this guy messed up and unfortunately it didn’t end well. But the overall behavior in this situation like the other guy said is pretty much normal of this area.

Greg McMichael told Travis McMichael that he “had no choice” in shotgun blasting Ahmaud Arbery to death, but there had been numerous alternatives they chose not to do. The prosecutor pointed out that Travis could have stayed in his vehicle without having any contact with Arbery, but chose not to because he thought that getting out of his vehicle and threatening him with the shotgun would finally stop him in his tracks. That alone is criminal behavior. The judge later agreed Travis got out of the vehicle because confrontation was sought. Like I’ve said before, Amhaud didn’t steal anything, but even if he had, the theft of replaceable “stuff” does not give you the right to pull a firearm on someone.
