Get this. In the federal trial, Travis' argument was that he felt he had to confront and identify Arbery because he was trespassing. Well, the prosecutor in that trial showed the jury a picture of Travis standing next to a NO TRESPASSING sign smiling ear to ear. Apparently, Travis thinks it's funny when he trespasses on someone's property but when a black person sets foot on a construction site that DOESN'T have any trespassing signs , somehow warrants gunning them down in the street.
And just think moments earlier he was taking care of his infant baby on the living room couch and because of his racist dad who got all worked up he abandon his baby to go out on the street to play cops & robbers and now he's in the Penitentiary for LIFE for that decision! Great example of why it's important to think before acting!
This family really don’t know how to mind their business. The white dude under the bridge with a weapon was not threat but black dude running with no weapon is GOT IT
The sad part of this too is these people still don't believe they've done anything wrong and went through life acting like they were above the law and neither one of them held any real credentials to do anything they were doing.
Bubba doesn’t seem too smart, and he allowed his duffas father to land him in prison. And both idiots were more concerned somebody going into Larry English’s house than the owner was. Larry is at home chilling while the idiots are in jail.
That's the premise that they used but what they really were concerned about is the audacity of a black man walking/running free in the neighborhood. Evidently that was more important to them than their own freedom because look at where it landed them.
@@siobhanshavonne7733 Gregory McMichael, former cop and 'investigator' with years of 'experience', had a strong intuition/gut feeling the man running down the street by his house had -a much higher melanin level than him- done something 'criminal'. Rash and Greg McMurderer said Mr Arberry’s trespassing was criminal trespassing and was a misdemeanor, NOT a felony, necessary for a citizen arrest! He is an adult now, and could and should have distanced himself from his racist upbringing as soon as he could think for himself. No excuses about how he was raise.
Well, his argument is that the young man wouldn’t be unarmed if he got the gun. My argument would be, why would you chase someone with your gun? It wasn’t a riot, wasn’t a gang, and why anyone would do that, is beyond me. It can only lead to….well, what is going on now. Young man dead, and men on trial.
Peace for Mr Arberys family. As I watch this, looking at the Dad, he’s the whole reason his son is involved in this crime. I just wonder, what is going thru his mind. Most parents, guide their children away from trouble not lead them in to trouble.
I don’t understand why he’s back living with his parents? He’s a grown man with a son and a decade of coast guard training living back at home working as a mechanic and policing the neighbor.
He kept using the phrase "breaking and entering" the DA should have asked... "What did he break to enter?" nothing because he just walked in and looked around. That's not breaking and entering...
The prosecutor, unlike the defense, is not going down that route, i.e, attempt to or let the witness define the law as it pertains to breaking and entering. The defense tried that and the prosecutor’s objection was sustained. The judge, not Travis, will define the legal meaning to the jury. She knows what she’s doing.
