In which I hope they get he guilty verdict and by prosecute for their acts. I hope they rot in prison.
She knew that an all white jury wouldn't be able to empathize with a racist motive. So she just destroyed their "self defense" and "citizens arrest" claims in front of everyone instead.
Always Something. I think they had to save the obvious racism for the Federal Hate Crime charges they face. It'll all come out and be very apparent in February of 2022 when they go to trial on those charges!
Its the elephant in the room, it obvious what they are, why waste time, also a lot of white people hate hearing about racism because it makes them uncomfortable and she doesn't want the 12 white jury to start disliking her..so she stuck to the rest of the case even tho we know they are racist, smart Strategy

Putting them above and giving them authority over the people they deemed outsiders. You can tell how they were being intentionally deceptive throughout the entire case. The lawyers prepped them very well. "Do not let them say Arbery was running away from you." Every time Linda said "run away," he corrected it to "run past." Why? Because "running away" is defensive. "Running past" can be construed as both defensive or aggressive. And, of course, Travis walked directly into Arbery's path with a gun pointed at him, making it impossible for there not to be a shooting. They also consistently rejected Linda saying Arbery was afraid. When Linda said Travis scared Arbery by driving beside him in the wrong lane and yelling questions at him, his response was "he wasn't scared." And when they questioned the medical examiner, the medical examiner said the "fight or flight" response was triggered by fear. And the defense suggested it could also be because he was ANGRY. This is such a simple case as it pertains to Travis McMichael. He chased Arbery, who was running through the neighborhood. Arbery then tried to get away from him and McMichael kept chasing him. Hearing this whole thing all the way through is really impressive. She gets Travis to admit that Arbery did nothing but run away from them. He did not say anything at all, or do anything threatening. At the end of the encounter, Arbery was coming toward him, but she noted that he was running away from Roddie, so Travis saying that he saw this person as a threat who had been running away from them for 5 minutes, sounded ludicrous. And then she had the series of questions of "you could have_____", all things that Travis could have done which would have prevented the shooting. Travis acknowledged "I could have" to all the things she said, and his excuses for why he didn't were laughable. He really did convict himself, with help from her.

They didn’t convince themselves of anything. They’re racist pieces of garbage that felt like they needed to lynch someone that day and they thought they’d get away with it.
@@emilychen3839 They wanted to lash out at someone for the problems they were facing in their community. They wanted revenge on someone. They were power hungry, too, not confronting anyone at any time without a gun. And they fancied themselves executors of the law, because they used to be in military, or they used to be cops.
And the medical examiner responded, no, I think it's probably the 3 men chasing him with trucks yelling they're going to blow his head off. Nope, he was just angry, not afraid.

Problem was Travis took the stand. I think their lawyers were thinking "maybe the white people will have sympathy"
He has to justify it or try to because his life as he knows it will be over if he is found guilty.

He shouldn't have testified but I'm so glad he did.
💯 I was just thinking the same thing.
Thankfully, he's too stupid to realize how he would further incriminate himself.
Right. If I’m his lawyer I’m screaming NOOOO, but as a spectator I’m glad he is. Although I don’t think the prosecution needs it, the judge has ruled you have to have witnessed the crime in order to enact a citizens arrest and they admitted in opening testimony they never witnessed a crime.
@@painandabel571 great observation!
You can't Citizen arrest someone on if but probable core's or maybe this is straight up blatant MURDER that's my opinion .
What amazes me is how Travis seems to have this I was justified in what I did demeanor. Unbelievable!!
he truly thinks hes getting off on this, but you can see reality slowly starting to set in the deeper the testimony goes. These idiots buried themselves, and thank god. Scary to think that people as dense as these 3 guys can nearly get away with murder and almost did. Small town govts need a huge overhaul across america.

Am I the only one who can't seem to stop watching this? He was so.confident when being questioned by his lawyers. Almost overly confident. What he or his lawyers didn't take into consideration before putting him on the stand, was the brilliance of the Prosecutors. You can physically see the change in his eyes and the moment all confidence dwindles with each question, as she discredits his story and proves his lies with facts and evidence!
You’re not alone…
I have watched this about 20 times
This prosecutor is off the chain. Love it!!
I can’t….
Right, I just skipped an hr and I hear shakiness in the video, more hand motions
I watch almost every day
I love the long pauses she takes after catching him in his own lies 👏🏽👏🏽 as if to say to the jury “ I’ll let you decide “.
Poor Mr. Arbery. This is terrifying. The pain his family is feeling must be immense. Immense. 💔
Privilege he think he got
He lived just 1.8 miles away🥺
@Horacio Spinelli wow, I didn’t know he lived so close. So sad
Tragic, he was a young man. R. I. P Aubrey 🙏😇 he's with the angels now having a great time with family
Horacio he was a nice kid??? He was 25 y o. Had pulled a gun at a basketball game and ran from the cops…I mean jogged away from the cops.. what did he do exactly? Did he have a job? Was he in college or trade school? I’m waiting…
Outstanding job by this prosecutor. She brilliantly laid her case out so calm and cool, meticulously picking apart his lies. Notice how she never directly called him out on his lies, but by asking the correct questions and referring to his prior statements and others testimony, she let him be his own undoing. She was playing high level chess in that courtroom.
Excellent!
She was brilliant

It is refreshing to see everyone basically unanimous on this one.. no one defending these devils.
It's refreshing because there is a narrative that. White people would want these clowns to get away with clear. CLEAR MURDER. Not true at all. No matter your skin color these guys are absolutely guilty . And should be spend the rest of their lives In prison without parole.
Sadly, there are a few "holdouts" who are trying to spin this story into some anti-government "they shouldn't have been convicted" rant.
@@davidbee7060 the cops never put them in handcuffs, didn't search their vehicles, didn't search their persons, and let them go home. And here we are months later and we know they were guilty of felony murder.
Begs the question why people are so quick to deny the existence of racism when it's plain as day. The cops treated these men like teddy bears while Ahmaud laid dead in the street.

This man knew the minute she started asking details regarding the video vs what he was saying then going back to the transcript several times to make him read the holes in his story he was done. My favorite part is 1:49:09 where she notes he could have gone around the back of his truck to follow Arbery, rather than confronting Arbery at the front. Travis says he is afraid Arbery would have tried to get in his open truck door. She says, you're telling this jury that you thought a man who has spent 5 minutes running away from you, wanted to continue to engage with YOU -- a man with a shotgun, and your father who said to stop or I'll blow your effing head off -- by getting into their truck? I love how Travis' smile just disappeared. He knew it made no sense and showed he was lying.
His little smiles really get to me. It’s like him and his posse were so sure they were justified. I’m so glad they’re guilty and showing they can’t get away with this!!
Exactly. They felt so sure they were justified & the jury of Their peers would see it the way they say it was.

@Fred Freddy 4, actually. Let's not pretend that arbery wasn't a criminal.
Heartbreaking. Didn’t steal anything and even if he had, these “men” were never entitled to hunt him down and take his life as he defended himself. Even if he had stolen something, it certainly doesn’t warrant false imprisonment and death. Heartbroken for the arbery family
I don't really think they cared about that at all....he could have stole the house if he wasn't black.....they killed him because he is black nothing else
The mom is glad her psychotic criminal son who had previously attacked her is dead
@joalexander8775- Well said! The fact that these knuckleheads were impersonating police officers by demanding him to stop, setting up a road block (i.e. false imprisonment, false detainment), drawn weapons, etc, etc, reveals they are complete lunatics! They like using "I feared for my life" when in reality they were armed to the teeth and chased an unarmed jogger who tried very hard to avoid them. RIDICULOUS.
The aggressors with guns always fear for their life apparently. I've heard that excuse from armed cops against unarmed citizens so many times.
@@natashacutiepie6074 Exactly
@@natashacutiepie6074 bad take generalizing these instances like that but in this case it is bull
@@ZacAttackAtl Its bull in all of them. If a cop has a gun and the civilian is unarmed there is no reason for them to fear for life. We have seen cops inside an armored vehicle open the hatch to it and shoot someone and claim they where in fear of their life while inside an armored vehicle against someone with no way of hurting them. Police use it as a shortcut to get around probable cause for lethal force. Everything scares them so they can shoot when they want.
Exactly. I guess being black is a weapon to them. Smh

This is such a simple case as it pertains to Travis McMichael. He chased Arbery, who was running through the neighborhood. Arbery then tried to get away from him and McMichael kept chasing him. McMichael positioned himself in front of Arbery, blocking the road with his truck, and illegally pointed a shotgun at Arbery. Arbery tried to defend himself and McMichael killed him. This is America. So, at no point in time did Arbery ever have an obligation to respond to McMichael's requests to stop, to engage him in conversation, or to interact in any way with McMichael, his dad or the third guy who was chasing him with another truck.
