You are pointing a gun at an unharmed man, and you have the NERVE to say he is acting weird. Please

Dude talked himself straight into a murder conviction.
He was being, we know what.. lol
I can't believe his Hee Haw lawyer put him on the witness stand. He hung himself.
Because he thought he was protected under the citizens arrest law
@@jhonathanreed1465 citizens arrest law is wishful thinking of many. It's pretty useless. You can't restrain, stop , hold or pretend arrest someone. This is a case of a guy that thought he was a cop and had some information and thought he was better than others. He got bit as he should. Sentencing phase will be interesting. I'm guessing his father will die in prison as well as the video taking neighbor. Son is going to come out a 60 or 70 year old man. He is guilty on murder with malice. He could get life.

He was two miles from home on foot, he can’t carry much of anything from a construction site in his shorts. You are so, so right !

This whole "I thought he was going to get in my truck" excuse is absolutely ignorant. "He was running passed me" "I let him run away" Nothing he said makes sense. Guilty!

@@ebonyyvonne23 Right! 😆
Well the boy is stupid
Hearing this whole thing all the way through is really impressive. She gets Travis to admit that Arbery did nothing but run away from them. He did not say anything at all, or do anything threatening. At the end of the encounter, Arbery was coming toward him, but she noted that he was running away from Roddie, so Travis saying that he saw this person as a threat who had been running away from them for 5 minutes, sounded ludicrous. And then she had the series of questions of "you could have_____", all things that Travis could have done which would have prevented the shooting. Travis acknowledged "I could have" to all the things she said, and his excuses for why he didn't were laughable. He really did convict himself, with help from her.

They didn’t convince themselves of anything. They’re racist pieces of garbage that felt like they needed to lynch someone that day and they thought they’d get away with it.
@@emilychen3839 They wanted to lash out at someone for the problems they were facing in their community. They wanted revenge on someone. They were power hungry, too, not confronting anyone at any time without a gun. And they fancied themselves executors of the law, because they used to be in military, or they used to be cops. Putting them above and giving them authority over the people they deemed outsiders.
You can tell how they were being intentionally deceptive throughout the entire case. The lawyers prepped them very well. "Do not let them say Arbery was running away from you." Every time Linda said "run away," he corrected it to "run past." Why? Because "running away" is defensive. "Running past" can be construed as both defensive or aggressive. And, of course, Travis walked directly into Arbery's path with a gun pointed at him, making it impossible for there not to be a shooting.
They also consistently rejected Linda saying Arbery was afraid. When Linda said Travis scared Arbery by driving beside him in the wrong lane and yelling questions at him, his response was "he wasn't scared." And when they questioned the medical examiner, the medical examiner said the "fight or flight" response was triggered by fear. And the defense suggested it could also be because he was ANGRY. And the medical examiner responded, no, I think it's probably the 3 men chasing him with trucks yelling they're going to blow his head off. Nope, he was just angry, not afraid.

Right. If I’m his lawyer I’m screaming NOOOO, but as a spectator I’m glad he is. Although I don’t think the prosecution needs it, the judge has ruled you have to have witnessed the crime in order to enact a citizens arrest and they admitted in opening testimony they never witnessed a crime.

@darlenestewart3149 also check out the Prosecutors in the Hannah Payne case. They were good also
Why don't these fools ever appear to understand they, THEY, make someone else "fear for their life"??
Oh they knew. Because of their privilege and power to open carry guns they felt that they had the authority to do whatever they wanted and law enforcement would back them up. Just like Rittenhouse....using guns to intimidate people. Too bad that they both ended badly. Rittenhouse gets off because he balled profusely in the court room and had a biased judge. These guys aren't ballers and they confronted him instead of the other way around. I hope that they get life.
plea guilty cause you all guilty for murder if you get out this God going to get you
And that was their initial intentions but it backfired!
I think the Rittenhaus case is different. (Canadian btw so not politically biased) the men Kyle shot with a gun also had a gun and/or other weapons and his life was in danger. Kyle should not have had the gun in the first place, but it seems as though he was not expecting to have to use it, and that he wouldn’t have used it if his life wasn’t in danger

Sadly, I find his testimony completely sincere. Its as though he genuinely finds nothing wrong with his behavior. It's as though he's thinking: "This is all just a misunderstanding. Once everyone grasps that this was a black man running through a white neighborhood this will all be over and we can all go home." He seems to lack even a trace of shame or guilt. The sort of racial superiority and entitlement thinking that is produced through years of generational racism.

YES SHE AN HER TEAM WAS AWESOME LINDA MOST DEFINITELY UNDERSTOOD THE ASSIGNMEN
My favorite part is 1:49:09 where she notes he could have gone around the back of his truck to follow Arbery, rather than confronting Arbery at the front. Travis says he is afraid Arbery would have tried to get in his open truck door. She says, you're telling this jury that you thought a man who has spent 5 minutes running away from you, wanted to continue to engage with YOU -- a man with a shotgun, and your father who said to stop or I'll blow your effing head off -- by getting into their truck? I love how Travis' smile just disappeared. He knew it made no sense and showed he was lying.
I wonder at what point did Travis think to himself, “I should have never taken the stand.”???
Dozens of times no doubt!
Like his father told him after the shooting "he had no choice he had no choice "lol
Oh my God you're beautiful
I think it's the point where she asks him three times if he thought Ahmaud stole his gun. Travis answered "no" all three times. Then she asked him why he started his written statement to the police by mentioning the stolen gun. First time I watched that, I gasped. Travis started stuttering and looked scared for a split second. That's when he knew that she was waaay too smart for him. He obviously started that written statement with the gun theft to imply that Ahmaud could be a thief and also to imply that the neighborhood needed defending from thieves. She read his a$$ like a book.
She is so refreshing, clearly she love the Law and the pursuit of justice.
