  • What is the WAAAGH!? Why do Orruck players yell it? What is the strange green energy that radiates from Destruction armies in midst of combat? Let's talk about it!

The Waaagh (by the way you missed an 'A' in the title) is probably my favorite thing in AoS, the only reason I'm not playing Destruction is because of the lack of support for it. If more factions had Battletomes and more models, then I would instantly start an Orruk army! Awesome commentary, thanks so much Doug!

If it helps any, Orruk Warclans and Ogre Gutbusters are on the way, both having been teased/announced at this point.

I kinda wanna know what happened to each individual god eg Gorkamorka, Grugni and Grimnir, Malerion, Teclis (when Idoneth drop) and the old gods like Ulric, Mathlann and Khaine too

Khaine and Mathlan died, Gorkamorka is doing his shit, Grugni is shattered, Grimnir is forging for Sigmar

Woodstock reference... Nice. Although I would never though of comparing orruks with a bunch of hippies talking about love and peace. Interesting that they share that energetic experience for two very different reasons.

I know I'm super-late to this video (I'm getting through them, gimme a chance!), but a comment you made here inspired me to sing, "Everywhere you go, always take the WAAAAGH!-ther with you." And it made me chuckle :D

I love this aspect of the lore of both old world and AoS. "Faith"of populations making their gods become something real.

My mate plays Ironjaws. I should tell him he should really be yelling more. For tactical reasons.

I hope we will get some fluff for the other greenskin races (books, battletomes, whatever) soon. One of the cool things in Age of Sigmar are the different interpretations of the WAAAGH! And how this "religion" is practiced differently and viewed differently by the factions.

Grots don't really get touched on very much in current AoS lore, but like their bigger Orc/Orruk kin they draw on Waaagh energy for their magic too. In WHFB they manipulated Waaagh energy in more subtle ways, less giant fists and more buffing or debuffing units. Of all there spells, only Vindictive Glare (magic missile) and Curse of da Bad Moon (which is in AoS) did direct damage.

If you are able to dig up enough information, I would love some more lore about the free people and their cities. Maybe even lore about the Ironweld Arsenal, who seem to often get the task of defending these cities.

As long as you aren't pronouncing the G in Waaagh!, like some Total War Warhammer UA-camrs, you're in the elite and are correct.

What is your opinion on the idoneth deepkin design wise. As for me I am a bit split, I love their armour and sea beast, but they are not as pretty and elf like as I would like them.

That's fair. Im going to get the battletome and look at the lore and units in detail. in fact, I think I need to see the models in person to really decide how I feel about the range
