maybe, i still hold hope for cross-faction units (like a new bonesplitter book that has spider fang in it) They did it with Tzaangor in tzeentch and beasts of chaos.
I'm a little bummed that there were no new Spiderfang kind of stuff. They seem like some of the most unique looking of the range and the most intriguing going by this video. It's really weird how I find myself drawn in by this subfaction considering the fact that spiders have always scared me in real life and in movies. Maybe it's the strange sense of order this group has or that sort of intelligent and malevolent symbiosis the riders and spiders seem to have together. It seems unique in a way like no other faction, that the two combine into this lean, mean predatory machine.
Ditto. The arachnarok kit is great, and really makes me want to do a spiderfang faction. Hard when there’s really only that and the standard riders. :/
Love the spiderfang, the moonclan derive their power from sneakness and cunning but spiderfang seem to be more war like and fearless with their zealotry to the spider god
Question about Gorkamorka how he fits with the gods... When someone kills in the name of the chaos gods, they claim the souls. Sigmar does the same. And Nagash thinks they are all his anyway... Does Gorkamorka claim the souls of those killed by orruks/grots or the living souls of the orruks/grots themselves provide the power in the form of waaagh energy?
Solid question, sadly i dont have an answer. As much as I love the mythos around Gorkamorka, I'd love a book that goes into some facts to answer questions just like this :/
@@2Tough I am not that knowledgable when it comes to AoS, but in the WFB Gorkamorka, or Gork and Mork, were gods who celebrated the act of combat. They did not collect the souls of greenskins, however, they did inhabit a place called "Da Great Green" where fallen greenskins went after their demise to scrap and fight after their demise. Even if the AoS gods feed of souls than the Gorkamorka, or Gork and Mork, could feed of greenskin's souls since they are so numerous and constantly fighting. Considering that Gorkamorka perpetuated and propagated combat and fighting among the living the latter answer given by Emanuele could be very much correct.
@@daan626 Orcs believed that after death they would be "belched" back into the New body. However there were never any reincarnated named heroes nor was it ever prophecised. Thus i think they do not reincarnate and instead they go to Da Great Green.
Imagine if the Tarantulos Brood and the Spiderfang Grots met... It might become a spider war or they exchange notes and keep in touch across the Web XD
Greatly enjoying this series. Was not very interested in them until I saw this particular video. The spider grots have changed that. Thank you and keep up the good work.
Mt little headcannon for my Gloomspite gits is "The Moonshine Loonie" clan. Effectively, a "loon prophet" which will be a Skragrott model with the crown removed, somehow ended up in the underways near Karak Eightpeaks as the underways, world roots, and stuff like that often can be seen as "overtly magical" and such. Little bit of time travel. He stumbles onto his target, a lone goblin boss crying over the loss of his friend. Skarsnik. This is the prophecized "chief" to lead them to greatness. He brings him back, and he leads this grey skinned band against their foes. Mostly dealing with loonies and troggoths, less spiders. He has proof of his collusion with the spider tribes of the old world though, often requisitioning their aid through a handful of ancient relics of their culture from before the end times.Moonshine Loonies are dark blue robed with luminous yellow accents. Grey skinned grots with yellow eyes.
Great Video~! Now I have a better understanding to Spiderfang.. for me I also like the Battletome lore describes, in my understanding where at first the Moonclan in the caves of Realm spreading fungi seeds & discover new tunnels, sometimes they rain into the Spiderfang nest and these 2 clans will fight each other. However soon they realized & come to term that they are both Grots after-all and they are both not as naturally warlike as Orruks. Soon they ceased war & have tentative truces, the Moonclan will trades their 'home'-raised fungi & special brewed potions with the Spiderfang's various hallucinogenic & rare poison substance from their Spider beast war-machines. And now they both grow economically, Shamans from both party can grow even more powerful spells, they also can fight together & drive off bigger stronger enemies, and that's how first Gloomspite hordes is formed.
Duuuude I think I found the perfect army for my girlfriend if we ever got into AoS! She loooooves spiders and would freak if she saw little goblins riding them lol. How do they work from a gameplay perspective? What is the general strategy with them? I'd imagine they'd be a fast attack army but I am clueless re: AoS.
So they run through a region, devour everything in their path, and leave the area barren of all life afterward. It's official, Tyranids have made it into AoS.
I hope the Spider Fang gets a refresh too.
It would be really cool to see a mobile village of grots with houses and shelters on the back of huge spiders
Webbier Spider12 that’s a super cool idea. I want to do that now! Lol. Combine the arachnarok kit with the lotr goblin town scenery kit. Lol.
I think GW lost out on an opportunity to merge the spiderfang with the bonesplitterz.

@@2Tough Yeah that would work out well. Hopefully destruction gets additional changes soon.
I really hope that the Grot Scuttlings from Silver Tower get re-released one day as Spiderfang units. That'd be sick.
I don’t know if you will talk about magic, but the new things for Spiderfang is their new lore of magic and the wave of baby spiders spell.

I tend to agree :/ i found them to be more interesting then Moonclan for sure, a new spider kit would go a long way!

I dont know much about AoS but don’t they reborn?

wow thank you! i love to hear minds changed and inspiration added ;)
Another great video as always. The gloomspite gitz has me so pumped for destruction. So many great releases.
Yay! im glad you liked it!
... there are spiders in AoS? I'm sold... just ran out of $ since i spent it all on 40k armies....
#realproblem, right? i know the feeling (stares at pile of beastmen and weeps)
I have a shed ton of these from fantasy. Think I'm going to try out a mixed arboreal themed greenskin list. Kruleboys, spiderfangs and river trolls
Shelob approves this video *happy chitter*

That's so good to hear! Thank you for watching!

another great grot lore video
Hey thank you so much :)
I'm tempted to get these guys after I'm done with my DG and STD. I'll probably just do the spiders been meaning to get into bigger kits.
Same, if I ever dip my toe into GG i'll likely stick to Spiders or Troggoths.

General strategy of spiders? Pile on the attacks, some of them do mortal wounds. lots of speed with some big center-piece models :)
AoS Coach did a video on spiderfang yesterday, I would recommend it!!
Spiders are coming!!! And as grots would say Go Spiders Go!!! And great late video Doug.
Are Scutterlings part of the Spiderfangs?
Love your videos! Can you do one on Celestant Prime?
Great suggestion, I'll get on it!

hahaha
not enough spider imagery
I agree, we need GW to make more
Nice job! Do you plan making videos about Warhammer 40k lore?
Not at the moment, there's already so many great content creators covering 40k, I'd like to stick to my strengths :)
amazing!
No u r! ;)
