Just a quick update for you all, which happened after the video was finished and uploaded - the Orruk Warclans has been split up so the Kruleboyz and Ironjawz will be separate factions in 4th edition, which actually feels like a great thing for both of them. That’s awesome, really glad to hear you found an army you enjoy. The mechanics look really interesting and look forward to seeing that on the tabletop. You’re 100% correct about Belthanos, his model is so so good!
My picks: Grand Alliance Order: Kharadron Overlords Grand Alliance Chaos: Maggotkin of Nurlge Grand Alliance Death: Ossiarch Bonereapers Grand Alliance Destruction: Gloomspite Gitz As much as I would really want to have my first army as a death army, I dont know if i could give up picking kharadron overlords first, i mean, steampunk dwarfs in airships! God damn, what a combo, what an amazing looking army, but then again, my heart will always be with undead and death related armies.
I mean those Kharadron do look amazing! You could always grab a spearhead box of the Kharadrom and Bonereapers to get into the spearhead game format and then build up whichever you prefer for full AoS from that while still having a force to play Spearhead.
Thank you for this. As someone just looking to try out AoS, this guide was fantastic. Definitely helped me pick one faction and create a short list of others that appeal.
Appreciate the breakdown. Was always more of a 40k player with a passing interest in Warhammer Fantasy, playing a bit with Dark Elves back in 8th edition (4th and 5th edition with 40k). Was completely lost with Age of Sigmar and how much he it seems to have changed compared to when I played.
While I don't plan to start an AoS army anytime soon, the Kharadron Overlord have some great models with steampunk aesthetics so I will be buying some to paint!
They honestly do look fantastic and to be fair if you ended up grabbing the spearhead/vanguard box you’d have a great format to play without needing a full size army.
They almost brought me in at the start of 3rd edition, but my playgroup were far more 40K based - which I think is changing with 4th’s release. They are great looking models and really nice to see a different aspect/theme for Orks that aren’t just big brutes. Hope you have a great time collecting and playing them in 4th!
Thank you, I’m glad you enjoyed! I’ve just been around just over a year now so I’m really pleased with the growth so far, but interaction like this and video being shared really makes a big difference - so thank you for watching and commenting 🙂
As a Kharadron Overlords (KO) player, I didn't immediately think my army was inexpensive. To be effective, you should have at least 2 Frigates and an Ironclad, which would cost £144. Additionally, having a limited model range means you need to buy more. For example, the Thunderers come in a box of 5, but to make them most effective, you need to run them in a unit of 10, which costs £64. Then, you have to consider their weapon options, which would probably cost four times that amount. The KO army is really good, but Games Workshop (GW) has me by the wallet. 🎮
I do hope to get into 4th edition of AoS. Like a commenter mentioned earlier, it's unfortunate Beastmen went extinct in this universe to be sent back to the Old World, but I'm interested in either Fyreslayers or Flesh Eater Courts. It depends on whether I want to go elite or want more options and to collect a wide range of models haha.
Both are really cool armies and have great spearheads to get you started. That being said if you did decide on flesh eater courts the Christmas Battleforce that’s just gone up for preorder is great value for money. Plus Ushoran is an incredible model (had to buy him myself to paint up). Whichever you choose I’m sure you’ll have a great time 🙂
All the Nighthaunts are so pretty! I don't know if I'll do their playstyle well, but I loooooove their look. (I'm brand new to WH, wargaming, miniatures, Everything.)
They have some incredible looking models and if that’s one you like the most I’d certainly at least give the spearhead a try to see if it’s something you enjoy going forward to a full army. End of the day, the army you love the looks of the models is the most important thing as the rules are temporary with each edition. Welcome to the hobby and hope you have a fantastic time! If you ever have any questions, don’t hesitate to reach out and I’d be happy to help 🙂
Pros of playing the Soulblight: They are the new Vampire Counts. Cons of playing the Soulblight: Mannfred Von Carstein and a thorough lack Vlad and Isabella.
I have a good amount of Kruleboyz, SCE, OBR. I have some Sons of Behemat, Magotkin of Nurgle, FEC, Slave to Darkness and a little range of Idoneth, Sylvaneth and Fyrslayer. Looking forward to by some Mega Gargants to complete the big Boys .
I'm probably looking to grab the Slaves to Darkness vanguard for my birthday as a starter. Has all the mainstays for the army, and then down the line I can get a Sorcerer Lord, some Darkoaths, fun flavor like that. :3
@@TheCommandPhase Skaven, Ogor, Cities of Sigmar, Seraphon, Nighthaunt lol so you can see my problem with picking 😄 , it's how I came across this video to see if there's anything that can sway me
@SoMrStewart lots of great looking armies there so I can understand! Is there a particular one you think looks the coolest? Or has a model you really want to build, paint and play with?
@TheCommandPhase I'm a old git so I remember the times of warhammer fantasy having cardboard cutout special characters and chaos dwarfs and hobgoblins lol but I think skaven and empire (cities of sigmar now) have always court my eye . Just where I live ppl play 40k so trying out an army or spending money on one is a worry as I don't wanna make a bad choice . So I may just have to buy models here and there and see which one I enjoy painting most I guess
There may well be a little more room for people trying out the new edition and Spearhead as an entry point into the game. I know at least my local GW is doing regular Spearhead nights going forward. But totally understand 40k being the main game in most areas. Those are two great factions and with the Skaven being part of the starter sets/launch boxes you'll be able to grab the new models of those fairly cheap too!
I am currently working on a Gloomspite gitz army. I love goblins and squigs so it was perfect for me. My 40K army is orkz, guess I am just a fan of greenskins.
They are an awesome force with so much character. The mangler squigs models look incredible too so I don’t blame you at all for choosing them. I’d love to see some pictures of your army if you’d like to share them either on social media or on the channel’s discord.
So the quick version is yes - they ended up blowing up the “world that was” to create the mortal realms at the launch of Age of Sigmar - To be fair the stories in the Mortal Realms now have some pretty good arcs. So yeah AoS replaced a poorly selling Warhammer Fantasy a few years back, although as I’m sure you are aware now they’ve brought it back as The Old World.
Just a heads up - if you're starting from scratch then these aren't super useful metrics, outside of loosely overall strategy (i.e. Korne likes melee). Each edition can vastly change an armies tools and therefore playstyle and match ups. An "optimized" army list will almost certainly be different from one edition to the next, and sometimes totally different if a balance update is put out. The deciding factor for every battle is going to be luck and skill more than army match up, and if you're just getting into the game then you won't build and paint a full size army quick enough for it to be the same army by the time you're done. The rule of warhammer, both for 40k and AOS, is to build what looks cool and/or what lore you like the most. GW is a model company, not a game company - the models should be a slightly bigger focus for the buyers as well.
are you going to make a Video with all factions, how they play, waht is the gameplan , how is the gameplay overall, is it just dice manipulation or is there something more to it? because theese are for many people one of the main reasons to pick one army, besides style, coolnes and lore :D
I totally get the gameplay being a really big aspect of why someone picks a faction and when the game releases and the battletomes come out, I do plan to do more content on each of the factions, spearhead for sure and age of sigmar in general.
Some fun choices there, got the cities myself and very tempted by the gloomspite gitz as I can’t say no to squigs! I’ll be sure to try and get those done early on 👍
The first thing I wanted to do was getting a Beast of chaos army because I love beastmen and after not even a week I heard they will not continue beast of chaos. Well ... Trying to find an army but I think I am done when I am not even starting. My colleagues are right when they all switched to saga ... Well ... I hope I can find an army enventually.
Already got over 3k points of Slaves to Darkness, 1,500 points in Stormcast, and a few Warcry-level skirmish teams in a lot of oþer factions. A _lot_ of factions. Blades of Khorne; Daughters of Khaine; Disciples of Tzeentch; Flesh-Eater Courts; Hedonites of Slaanesh; Maggotkin of Nurgle; Orruk Warclans; Soulblight Gravelords; AND Stormcast fucking Eternals …I have _way_ too many gods-forsaken factions. 😵💫
That would be the 3rd edition starter box - but those models are all good for this current edition. Plus the rules are free online too for the new edition so all good 👍
Wish lord of the rings would do a table top game just like this. Picking elves or men or dwarves or orks or Easterling. Each armies having either dragons or balrogs or giants spiders or wizards or numenoreans as thier heavy hitter units.
I think GW have done a great job with the sculpts for AoS models over the past few years, arguably far better looking models than in 40K, but the push and marketing for 4th edition really put it into the eyes of a lot of 40K players. I’m sure many will be taking the jump over. What army are you collecting for 40K?
Great video I've been in the hobby for a while but I always have that same issue as they're all so cool and great sculpts I can never choose just one and now with the new edition and spearhead I was thinking now is the time to get in and start playing aos for the first time.. only to find there's no ironjawz spearhead box yet 😢 My next options are daughters of slaughter (khaine), maggotkin or the fire slayers
I’m pretty sure we will be expecting an ironjawz spearhead when they become their only faction in the new year and there is a very tempting Christmas battle force box coming out ;) But in terms of spearhead, I’d pick your favourite models as they’re all fun to play. I mean I’ve got 5 now with a few I have no intention of expanding to full armies. I’m glad you enjoyed the video though, appreciate it :)
They are just a part of the old world game rather than part of age of sigmar. The closest aesthetic to the army would be ossiarch bonereapers if you wanted something similar.
for 40k i have an army for each chaos god so i decided for AoS I would collect every death army :3 I just finished painting up the army box and ushoran and soon ill be moving on to soulblight gravelords
@TheCommandPhase its hard to say, i really like the saurus units and Slaans, aswell as the larger dinosaurs. But at the same time, orcs have a good mix of classic fantasy orcs and monsters. I could also probably get use out of the orks as minis for dnd and pathfinder. I could always start with one and expand as time gose on
Sorry for not getting back to you sooner. So the main two formats that Games Workshop make are either Warhammer 40K or Age of Sigmar. There are smaller skirmish games for each with Kill Team and Warcry. The other games that you have access to would be The Horus Heresy (30k), The old world (Warhammer fantasy from back in the day), Warhammer underworlds (more board game styled), The lord of the rings, Necromunda (feels more narrative), Bloodbowl (Warhammer fantasy meets American football). There may well be more but hopefully that’ll give you plenty to explore.
Pick the one you love. But as a Skaven main myself i'll forewarn you that Skaven is an army which takes a lot of collecting and a lot of hobby just to get to the table. Right now that burden has been made a little easier with the Skaventide box which is a pretty good entry point. The army is difficult to win with but that will change over time. I would not base your choice on what is strong today. To put it in perspective the skaventide box has 40 clan rats and you may very well end up wanting to run more than that so that's a lot to paint.
So we haven’t fully seen the rules for 4th yet, I’m sure they’ll be released for free in the next week or two. They’re a faction that don’t have many models and are pretty resilient so allow you to learn the rules and focus on that easier than some larger armies, but each model is really important so if you do end up taking casualties you’ll feel it more than others. That being said, if you like the look of the models and idea of this army then go for it!
The big problem I have with AoS is that I want all of them! 😂 Which works out great with the Spearhead game mode. I have a reasonable force of Kruleboyz, Gloomspite Gitz and Stormcast from the Stormbringer magazine. My next project is increasing Lumineth to 2k points minimum and getting more spearheads.
Oh I know that feeling - I bought 4 spearheads while making this video…. Hope you have a great time building and collecting your Lumineth! You’ll have to send me some images on Twitter/insta/discord when you’re done as I’d love to see them.
Oh I feel you! I ended up buying two spearhead boxes from different factions while I was making this video 😅 Which are the ones you're most interested in?
@TheCommandPhase my wife already got the Seraphons (which are absolutely great) and I've been mulling over whether to pick Skaven, Deepkin or Daughters of Khaine. I believe I will start off with the Deepkin though as the Skaven will probably be getting a few more model upgrades and additions after 4th launched.
Your wife has great taste - love the Seraphon! 100% skaven will be getting a rather sizable range refresh, which I'm very excited for. That Skaventide box can't come soon enough (although I've got 4 spearheads still to build 😅) Great choice on the deepkin - after reading up on the lore properly, that was one of the spearhead boxes I had to grab. Plus the playstyle looks really fun and the aquatic model range looks awesome. Whichever you choose I hope you have great fun!
So the typical answers would be something like Stormcast for being a Jack of all trades type army that have options for all different playstyles should you wish, plus being in the starter set easy to get hold of cheaply on the secondary market. Ironjawz are another nice option for being a very heavy melee force that’s very much run and fight. Or nighthaunt with ignoring rend and having ward saves making them pretty resilient. But to be honest, the best army is the one you think looks the coolest and love the models of. The rules of the game and army you’ll pick up as you go, plus if the army is one you’re excited by, you’ll be more determined to learn the rules for them. Best advice would be to grab a spearhead box of the faction you like the most. Build, paint and play some games with that. The format is perfect to learn the rules of the game and get a feel for what your army does in a quick game style which you can then expand upon if you enjoy them.
So the closest would be Cities of Sigmar using more of the freeguild cavaliers and marshals for the majority of your army. Else if you wanted a chaotic theme, then slaves to darkness with a Varanguard and Chaos Knights heavy list gives you the “bad guy” knights army. Hope that is somewhat close in the age of Sigmar space to what Bretonians would have been for Old World.
@@TheCommandPhase Yhe I was looking for something similar to the old world nights but I’m new to age of sigma have you got a video of the cities of sigma and slave to darkness factions?
Slaanesh main who started in 3rd edition here: Please don't start with Slaanesh. Their models are beautiful (if fragile), but while they have excellent mobility, they also have very poor defense until they can get some of their early-game buffs going, which in 3rd Edition was often luck-based (if you couldn't get many Depravity points, you're not getting that army-wide -1 penalty for enemies to hit you).
I have some nostalgia for the old world with being the models I grew up with and destroying most of my Skaven army with itself using scatter dice. But honestly I’d have to admit that AoS and their incredible new sculpts really have brought me back into that fantasy setting. It’s a more enjoyable game (for me at least) and the spearhead format is one I’m a huge fan of - just so I have an excuse when I end up picking up new armies 😂
@timoklein1912 yeah it’s Age of Sigmar’s version of combat patrol - but in an infinitely better place. A great way into the AoS with some fast, fun and often pretty close games 👍
Torn between Nighthaunt and Seraphon, because you can't be bad at painting skin tones if your army doesn't have skin. Though I lean more toward Seraphon because my lizard brain tells me Aztec Dinosaurs riding dinosaurs is the raddest thing ever.
I mean both are really cool forces - I guess is just depends if you prefer criminal ghosts or lizards riding dinos! I mean I went Seraphon for that reason, but I'm also tempted with the nighthaunt spearhead as I have no self control xD
I'm in the same position as you. Hopelessly stuck trying to decide between those two. As soon as I've convinced myself to get one, I talk myself out of it and convince myself I like the other more, and then the cycle starts again.
I know you don't actually care what some random name on YT is choosing as their faction and the exhortation to do so in the video is a thinly disguised call for engagement. But I'm ok with engagement so...Bonereapers for me.
I've been really interested to see which factions tend to be the most/least popular from the viewers. The bonereapers look like a really awesome force on the tabletop and their new army rules in the faction focus we've had recently look really interesting to play. Was it the models, lore or gameplay that drew you to the Ossiarch Bonereapers?
@@TheCommandPhase Ultimately paint scheme, I had an idea for sickly necromantic underlighting and the models had the perfect mix of textures and layers to let that work.

That’s awesome, really glad to hear you found an army you enjoy. The mechanics look really interesting and look forward to seeing that on the tabletop. You’re 100% correct about Belthanos, his model is so so good!
My picks:
Grand Alliance Order: Kharadron Overlords
Grand Alliance Chaos: Maggotkin of Nurlge
Grand Alliance Death: Ossiarch Bonereapers
Grand Alliance Destruction: Gloomspite Gitz
As much as I would really want to have my first army as a death army, I dont know if i could give up picking kharadron overlords first, i mean, steampunk dwarfs in airships!
It’s all about the Skaven for me!
Counting down the days for the new set. They look fantastic!
Thank you for this. As someone just looking to try out AoS, this guide was fantastic. Definitely helped me pick one faction and create a short list of others that appeal.
I’m really glad to hear you found it helpful, which faction did you go for?
I’m thinking of getting the launch box for the rats and the stormcast
You and me both! They’re amazing looking sculpts. Which are you most excited to play of the two?
Rats rats rats! Ever since I watched the Ad Ric video on the skaven I’ve been excited for them
Been saving kruleboyz since their launch for a day i knew that they would be their own faction - seems that day is coming sooner rather than later ;D
Ere we go!
Not only are kruleboyz becoming their own faction, they're looking very strong in 4th if their faction focus is anything to go by.
Awesome video! Im getting super hyped for 4th edition! Im going to being staring off with Cities of Sigmar myself! 💯
Amazing! Hope you enjoy the army, some exceptionally nice models in that range :)
@@TheCommandPhase Indeed! Your AOS content is on point. You should definitely do more!
Now i may already have kruleboyz, ironjawz, skaven, dok and fyreslayers but maggotkin are looking mighty good
I mean if the sloppity bilepiper doesnt sway you then nothing will 😂
More AOS content! This was brilliant!
I’m really glad you enjoyed it! There certainly will be more coming 🙂
Dude, what an awesome video. How do you only have 5K subs?!
I'm new to all of this and honestly I cannot decide who to choose, there's so many that I'm in love with
I do hope to get into 4th edition of AoS.
I already have Kruleboyz, Stormcast and Skaven. Going to get nighthaunt, seraphon and Iron Jaws soon.
Nice work - Those are some great looking armies coming soon to your painting table!
Oh nice - lots of options for the new edition. Which are you most looking forward to playing?
@@TheCommandPhase I think it will be Sons of Behemat or Magotkin of Nurgle. Easy to paint, easy to play.
May want to expand on Orruk Warclans as Kruleboyz and Ironjaws are now their own factions.
I’ll add a pinned comment outlining this so everyone is aware going forward 👍
I'm probably looking to grab the Slaves to Darkness vanguard for my birthday as a starter. Has all the mainstays for the army, and then down the line I can get a Sorcerer Lord, some Darkoaths, fun flavor like that. :3
Awesome - hope you have a fantastic birthday!
Just when I think of an army to start I look at another army and think oooooh look at them
Oh I’m sure we’ve all had that feeling! My pile of potential is full of ooooh that’s a cool model 😅
Which are you trying to decide between?
Super noob here who used to paint 15+ years ago but now just follow 40k lore.. did Age of Sigmsr replace original Warhammer?
So the quick version is yes - they ended up blowing up the “world that was” to create the mortal realms at the launch of Age of Sigmar - To be fair the stories in the Mortal Realms now have some pretty good arcs.
So yeah AoS replaced a poorly selling Warhammer Fantasy a few years back, although as I’m sure you are aware now they’ve brought it back as The Old World.
I want to know for each: overall strategy, key units, powerlevel, winrate best/worst matchup, difficulty of playing 😊
I’ll look into that once the new edition has released and we start to see data from games 👍
@@TheCommandPhase would be sweet! And thanks for this vid 👍👍👍
So glad i didn't get into age of sigmar a couple years ago. I was going to choose beasts of chaos.
It’s a shame they aren’t supported anymore as they were a cool faction. Have you gotten into the game now with a different faction?
@@TheCommandPhase I have been thinking about starting a slaanesh army and trying to paint them up like Cenobites. I love that old school body horror.
Great video! Thank you for this ❤
You’re welcome, hope it’s helped you narrow down or pick a faction 🙂
A video analysis of factions in spearhead will be really appreciated ❤
Once I’m back home from my holiday I’ll look into creating these going forward 👍
Any particular faction you’re most interested in?
@@TheCommandPhase slave to darkness, slaneesh, cities, and gloom ❤️
Some fun choices there, got the cities myself and very tempted by the gloomspite gitz as I can’t say no to squigs!
I’ll be sure to try and get those done early on 👍
@@TheCommandPhase amazing! 🔥
Blades of Khorne; Daughters of Khaine; Disciples of Tzeentch; Flesh-Eater Courts; Hedonites of Slaanesh; Maggotkin of Nurgle; Orruk Warclans; Soulblight Gravelords; AND Stormcast fucking Eternals
…I have _way_ too many gods-forsaken factions. 😵💫
That sounds like an awesome collection right there!
I am a newbie and bought a starter kit says 2022 on box, so I presume older edition than 4th
I just started 40k. But aos looks really cool
I think GW have done a great job with the sculpts for AoS models over the past few years, arguably far better looking models than in 40K, but the push and marketing for 4th edition really put it into the eyes of a lot of 40K players. I’m sure many will be taking the jump over.
What army are you collecting for 40K?
Great video I've been in the hobby for a while but I always have that same issue as they're all so cool and great sculpts I can never choose just one and now with the new edition and spearhead I was thinking now is the time to get in and start playing aos for the first time.. only to find there's no ironjawz spearhead box yet 😢
My next options are daughters of slaughter (khaine), maggotkin or the fire slayers
Also gloomspite can't forget those iconic gitz with so much character!
I’m pretty sure we will be expecting an ironjawz spearhead when they become their only faction in the new year and there is a very tempting Christmas battle force box coming out ;)
But in terms of spearhead, I’d pick your favourite models as they’re all fun to play. I mean I’ve got 5 now with a few I have no intention of expanding to full armies.
I’m glad you enjoyed the video though, appreciate it :)
Sylvaneth, the army of life - 75% of their army is ghosts
I have plans to get the Seraphon and Orks
Awesome - hope you have a great time collecting them!
@@TheCommandPhaseI hope so too!
It'll be for Spearhead
have to admit, ogors with cannons as rifles has a nice appeal to me
It’s a pretty great aesthetic choice!
My first bought army Slave to Darkness 🤘 just 2 weeks ago.
Really awesome! I should've starred earlier this hobby 😅
Better late than never!
I'm guessing the Tomb Kings are legacy armies now?
They are just a part of the old world game rather than part of age of sigmar. The closest aesthetic to the army would be ossiarch bonereapers if you wanted something similar.
@@TheCommandPhase Duely noted, thanx for the info ;)
for 40k i have an army for each chaos god so i decided for AoS I would collect every death army :3
I just finished painting up the army box and ushoran and soon ill be moving on to soulblight gravelords
I love that idea!
Im finally getting into minis, im so stuck between dinos and orcs.
Is there one that you feel the model range looks cooler than the other?
@TheCommandPhase its hard to say, i really like the saurus units and Slaans, aswell as the larger dinosaurs. But at the same time, orcs have a good mix of classic fantasy orcs and monsters. I could also probably get use out of the orks as minis for dnd and pathfinder. I could always start with one and expand as time gose on
For sure - plus with spearhead you have a quick game format too you can try out to see if you enjoy the army before going all in.
I don't know if I want to start this or 40k... it's so hard to decide. Is there any other versions of warhammer with figures?
Sorry for not getting back to you sooner. So the main two formats that Games Workshop make are either Warhammer 40K or Age of Sigmar. There are smaller skirmish games for each with Kill Team and Warcry. The other games that you have access to would be The Horus Heresy (30k), The old world (Warhammer fantasy from back in the day), Warhammer underworlds (more board game styled), The lord of the rings, Necromunda (feels more narrative), Bloodbowl (Warhammer fantasy meets American football). There may well be more but hopefully that’ll give you plenty to explore.
Thanks!@@TheCommandPhase
I'm thinking between Seraphon and Skaven for my first army, can y'all give me an idea of how each play? Pros and cons? Personal experience?
Pick the one you love. But as a Skaven main myself i'll forewarn you that Skaven is an army which takes a lot of collecting and a lot of hobby just to get to the table.
Right now that burden has been made a little easier with the Skaventide box which is a pretty good entry point. The army is difficult to win with but that will change over time. I would not base your choice on what is strong today.
To put it in perspective the skaventide box has 40 clan rats and you may very well end up wanting to run more than that so that's a lot to paint.
Another great video, Mark! however, you have now made it hard for me not to buy another spearhead/vanguard box. 😂 *shakes fist*
I bought the Idoneth Deepkin one and the Flesh Eaters while making this video so I can totally understand that 😂
@@TheCommandPhase oh dear! Lol
Are Sons of Behemat good to start
So we haven’t fully seen the rules for 4th yet, I’m sure they’ll be released for free in the next week or two. They’re a faction that don’t have many models and are pretty resilient so allow you to learn the rules and focus on that easier than some larger armies, but each model is really important so if you do end up taking casualties you’ll feel it more than others. That being said, if you like the look of the models and idea of this army then go for it!
Which is probably better orruk ironjaws or kruelboyz
The big problem I have with AoS is that I want all of them! 😂
Which works out great with the Spearhead game mode.
@TheCommandPhase awesome - I tagged you over on twitter.
@trevorharvey6928 thanks I’ll check it out now 👍
I would like one of everything please...
You and me both!
How can a video both help and make you want even more of them at the same time 😂
Oh I feel you! I ended up buying two spearhead boxes from different factions while I was making this video 😅
Which are the ones you're most interested in?
@TheCommandPhase my wife already got the Seraphons (which are absolutely great) and I've been mulling over whether to pick Skaven, Deepkin or Daughters of Khaine. I believe I will start off with the Deepkin though as the Skaven will probably be getting a few more model upgrades and additions after 4th launched.
Your wife has great taste - love the Seraphon!
100% skaven will be getting a rather sizable range refresh, which I'm very excited for. That Skaventide box can't come soon enough (although I've got 4 spearheads still to build 😅)
Great choice on the deepkin - after reading up on the lore properly, that was one of the spearhead boxes I had to grab. Plus the playstyle looks really fun and the aquatic model range looks awesome. Whichever you choose I hope you have great fun!
@TheCommandPhase I've made a list for an army consisting mostly of cavalry and she did the same, so we can have fish vs dino battles 😂
Love that!
What is an easy army for a new player to learn with?
No idea how the game is to play. But I love the look of the big blueish trolls
The troggoths are really cool as part of the gloomspite gitz- really fun army with loads of character.
@TheCommandPhase can I have a army with only troggoths? 😆
Just sent this video to a friend after we played spearhead. Heres hoping
Fingers Crossed!
@@TheCommandPhase he went in deep and got 500 bucks worth of serephon lmao. Wish I had that kind of disposable income
God damn - fair play - I mean with the Skaven releases coming in a couple weeks I'd need that kinf of income for those xD
Minor point. But cities of sigmar in the lore is very much waging a campaign of colonization not reclamation...
I really want to have a faction that looks like medieval knights as I love that look
I don't have any individual army range videos right now, but something I'm looking to sort out in the future.
@@TheCommandPhase Yhe ok fantastic this video was still super helpful keep the great videos coming
Still can't believe what they did to my beasts of chaos
Cities of sigmar for sure!
Amazing choice and such a stunning model range!
trying my 1st game today
Awesome - best of luck!!
I really wanted to do a Beastmen army... WTH is wrong with GW?
In my time it was High Elfs, Lizardman, Dwarfs etc... 😅
Ah yes, the world that was..
Also known as The Old World now GW has brought it back. I mean I still call Seraphon lizardmen 😅
@@TheCommandPhase what do you prefer? The old world or age of S?
I have some nostalgia for the old world with being the models I grew up with and destroying most of my Skaven army with itself using scatter dice. But honestly I’d have to admit that AoS and their incredible new sculpts really have brought me back into that fantasy setting. It’s a more enjoyable game (for me at least) and the spearhead format is one I’m a huge fan of - just so I have an excuse when I end up picking up new armies 😂
@@TheCommandPhase spearhead format? Thats new for me. Is that a kind of new system?
@timoklein1912 yeah it’s Age of Sigmar’s version of combat patrol - but in an infinitely better place. A great way into the AoS with some fast, fun and often pretty close games 👍
Skaven seems a poor fit in chaos. I think it would be better placed in destruction. Also so much bloat.
The decision for me was very easy. Saw belakor. Bought belakor. Chose slaves to darkness.
Oh no Orruks just got split today lol
They certainly did! I need to put a pinned comment up about that for viewers.
ORK CUZZINS ARE DA BEST!!!
Haha! They are fantastic sculpts - huge fan of the big pig!
Gift me an army i cant buy another right now lol
Flesh Eater Courts yaaaayyyyy
They are such an awesome faction!
That sounds incredible - do you have any pictures online of that on say and instagram or twitter? I'd really like to see that.
@@TheCommandPhase Nope not yet. They're currently sitting on a sprue, waiting for the edition to launch!
