I'm so tired of watching people get married, and pregnant after a couple months. It's like they don't realize that they will likely breakup within a year!! Them there's Juan's situation, he hooked up, got her pregnant, and now he has three kids to raise. I feel a lot of problems could have been avoided.

I've lived in the Caribbean the last 21 years. It's rare for anyone, especially men, to interpret behavior. Many people are very straightforward to the point of being blunt. They expect you to honestly say what's on your mind the same way they will. It can be hard for north Americans to adapt.
Carnaval is incredible. Giant street parties, just wandering around kissing people. Great fun, definitely can be a lot for Americans not used to Brazilian culture.

Carnival isn't just in Brazil but all over the Caribbean as well. You might hear Crop Over or J'Ouvert but it's the same. Some spots in the U.S. do Carnival as well, like Florida.

I've lived in the Caribbean the last 21 years. It's rare for anyone, especially men, to interpret behavior. Many people are very straightforward to the point of being blunt. They expect you to honestly say what's on your mind the same way they will. It can be hard for north Americans to adapt.
