How in world does ANYONE have a deaf child and not learn ASL?!?! That made my want to cry!! As a parent, there is no way I would not learn to communicate with my child.
Right!? He cant even read lips. I feel like that's something he could have learned if he spent more time with hearing people. Nothing against going to a school for the deaf but it sounded like he was just kinda left... I'd be scared to have a deaf child cuz I naturally am a very slow learner so sign language could be difficult but I'd at least try.
Ive actually been thinking of learning ASL. I don't know anyone deaf, but who knows maybe ill lose even more my hearing and it'll come into use. Seriously though, I want to learn in case I happen to meet a deaf person🙂

This is true, but as a former morbidly obese kid I found that when I got healthy and fit I learned to really love myself and therefore put out that energy in the world to attract great partners. Even being huge I was still considered cute/pretty (i think it’s easier honestly for big girls to still get attention than big guys) so I didn’t have to deal with the same level of loneliness as this guy. But a lot of the ppl I attracted when I was big didn’t treat me the best, as I thought I didn’t deserve better. I bet if he just put all his energy and focus on hitting the gym and sticking to a sensible diet, he’d be surprised how quickly he gains confidence and attracts some great gals.

I agree. It's much more impactful when they cut the sound so we can experience for a few moments what their life is like. Such as crossing the street or walking along and a bike comes up behind them and they can't hear it! Super scary! It really makes you feel for them in that moment.

My ex, of fifteen years, had a messy messy divorce before dating me. They were together for 25 years, he was traumatized by his ex-wife cheating on him. So he would NEVERRRR use the I love you, in the entire 15 years we were together he told me he loved me TWICE!!! And both times it was like pulling teeth for him to say it!!! It does take a toll on the other person when someone refuses to say the big I love you! Ughhh!!! We are still very close friends, both haven’t dated anyone since, five years, but if he does date I really feel for the next chick!! You have to hear that from time to time 🤷🏼♀️
If saying “I love you “ is such a big deal after you know what hes been going through then I dont think its meant to be for you. There are plenty of people who dont even need to say it in order to let their other person know that they care about them. It shouldn’t matter whether its said.
Never punish your future partner for what your last partner did. Just wait till you’re ready for a fresh start then go forward. People deserve to hear that from their partner and after sometime passes and they don’t hear it, it pushes them away and they get to a place where it doesn’t matter anymore because the whole person doesn’t matter to them anymore. People can only wait for so long to hear it before they get cold and stop caring. And I speak from experience.
Not gonna lie, I blushed when you were talking about roasting and that you think it's special when it's done right. Because it's the kind of relationship I have with my partner and the rare times we accidentally hurt each other with that we talk about it, apologize and are careful to be more understanding next time and don't repeat it again. So at times it happens that you don't judge well the roasting but with communication it's still great. It gives the relationship spice and it's the best kind of relationship for me honestly. We both have troubles with normal romance so it's the way we show affection, mixed with sweet time as well. It is not for everyone of course but I'm glad to see that other people see it as a good thing as well. A lot of people don't really understand that dybamics unfortunately.

Before him I had normal loving interactions with previous partners and I always felt so uncomfortable. And never knew why until now. But people usually talk how bad it is so some actually understanding that sort of love language is really nice.

My father was born deaf and mute. He's the 5th child and the last one. Keep in mind, people who grew up in the 50-60s didn't have much access to ASL. He doesn't sign, he has his own "sign" language that all his family, friends, and colleagues use that is easier because we like "mime" and show things. But Most hearing families with only one child don't learn to sign. You can find a lot of people all around the world, being the only deaf and no one in their family sign. It always breaks my heart.
I rarely ever hear anyone ever mention on the show something that they actually love about the other person besides their physical appearance. Instead of telling us what they love abut them, it’s always “Aww they’re so amazing, they’re so beautiful/handsome, they’re an Angel.”
So I hope this isn't the case, BUT... What if Tyray has felt so connected to this person he was catfished by that he's willing to compromise not only his morals/ethics for the catfishing, but (possibly) his own sexuality because this is the only person who's shown a consistent interest and gave him that attention he craves.
It breaks my heart that no one around David was willing to learn ASL. In my town we group up with a whole extended family who was deaf and my town adapted we learned basic ASL in second grade and so did the teachers. I even played sports with the older sister it was hard but we all stayed together

I went to church w a family w one of 7 children being deaf. It was kinda funny when he acted up in church, you could see his mom take him aside & their hands were flying lol. All of his siblings even learned to sign

Im so happy to see some deaf representation. I have a deaf sister and she had a similar experience as David (although most of us try learning sign with my mom knowing the most) I hope David does find love and has a family. also I hope the best for Tyray man. He deserves something good.
This episode was one of the most emotional episodes of the entire 90 day fiance series. Amanda and her children mourning her husband, Tyray's insecurities and being catfished (despite the fact he's the sweetest guys in this show), and David struggles had me crying many times 🥲

i really think the reason Jasmine lost her job and can’t find another is due to her behaviour and not cos her bf sent her pictures to his ex. she was literally saying all sorts at the doctors.

I took ASL classes in college and it was immersion style. It was amazing how you are communicating so much that you don’t notice there’s no sound and you leave the classroom and all of a sudden there’s noise again and it startles you.
In the Philippines "po" means sir/mam pretty much and everyone would call people older or in higher authority po. So everytime I see someone call you po thats what I think of lol

I think Riley and Violet are cute. I can relate to that, as I'm not a very affectionate person, but my husband is. You're right that it comes down to a balance. Having issues getting into a relationship is fine, but I do feel like Riley will have to deal with his baggage at some point. It's important to recognize when we're bringing that sort of preconception from past experiences into a relationship. There's understanding, but that also comes with the responsibility for you to tackle that damage and create a new "normal" with this new person. Me and my husband have a saying, "When I take over, I'll kill you last!", and the other will respond, "I hate you the least!" That's him being understanding to my limitations. Giving him random exaggerated hugs or "love you"s when we're alone is mine. So I hope things work out for those two, looking forward to it. ☺

Filipino here that grew up and lives in the Philippines, y'all don't know how many stuff can happen to you. We are hit with typhoons yearly. Sometimes two to three times a year. In the province's, flooding is very common after a heavy rain. As for the fire, it's common too. In the "slums" the wires are not managed properly and a lot "borrow" electricity by connecting wires which usually causes fires. Sometimes it's started by a left lit candle or arson (so companies can reclaim the land). She's learning ASL probably because she wasn't taught or learnt a different type from ASL.

My friend's parents made her learn asl so she could communicate with her deaf younger sister. No one else in the family cared to learn of gaf.

Yes. Angela and Big Ed were being praised by TLC for being abusive partners. It was despicable. TLC still is a very toxic company

It does take a toll on the other person when someone refuses to say the big I love you! Ughhh!!! Not gonna lie, I blushed when you were talking about roasting and that you think it's special when it's done right. Because it's the kind of relationship I have with my partner and the rare times we accidentally hurt each other with that we talk about it, apologize and are careful to be more understanding next time and don't repeat it again. So at times it happens that you don't judge well the roasting but with communication it's still great. It gives the relationship spice and it's the best kind of relationship for me honestly. We both have troubles with normal romance so it's the way we show affection, mixed with sweet time as well. It is not for everyone of course but I'm glad to see that other people see it as a good thing as well. A lot of people don't really understand that dybamics unfortunately.

Before him I had normal loving interactions with previous partners and I always felt so uncomfortable. And never knew why until now. But people usually talk how bad it is so some actually understanding that sort of love language is really nice.

My father was born deaf and mute. He's the 5th child and the last one. Keep in mind, people who grew up in the 50-60s didn't have much access to ASL. He doesn't sign, he has his own "sign" language that all his family, friends, and colleagues use that is easier because we like "mime" and show things. But Most hearing families with only one child don't learn to sign. You can find a lot of people all around the world, being the only deaf and no one in their family sign. It always breaks my heart.

I rarely ever hear anyone ever mention on the show something that they actually love about the other person besides their physical appearance. Instead of telling us what they love abut them, it’s always “Aww they’re so amazing, they’re so beautiful/handsome, they’re an Angel.”
So I hope this isn't the case, BUT... What if Tyray has felt so connected to this person he was catfished by that he's willing to compromise not only his morals/ethics for the catfishing, but (possibly) his own sexuality because this is the only person who's shown a consistent interest and gave him that attention he craves.

It breaks my heart that no one around David was willing to learn ASL. In my town we group up with a whole extended family who was deaf and my town adapted we learned basic ASL in second grade and so did the teachers. I even played sports with the older sister it was hard but we all stayed together

This episode was one of the most emotional episodes of the entire 90 day fiance series. Amanda and her children mourning her husband, Tyray's insecurities and being catfished (despite the fact he's the sweetest guys in this show), and David struggles had me crying many times 🥲

I took ASL classes in college and it was immersion style. It was amazing how you are communicating so much that you don’t notice there’s no sound and you leave the classroom and all of a sudden there’s noise again and it startles you.
In the Philippines "po" means sir/mam pretty much and everyone would call people older or in higher authority po. So everytime I see someone call you po thats what I think of lol

Definitely wouldn't want that from a partner when I already deal with it enough.

I think Riley and Violet are cute. I can relate to that, as I'm not a very affectionate person, but my husband is. You're right that it comes down to a balance. Having issues getting into a relationship is fine, but I do feel like Riley will have to deal with his baggage at some point. It's important to recognize when we're bringing that sort of preconception from past experiences into a relationship. There's understanding, but that also comes with the responsibility for you to tackle that damage and create a new "normal" with this new person. Me and my husband have a saying, "When I take over, I'll kill you last!", and the other will respond, "I hate you the least!" That's him being understanding to my limitations. Giving him random exaggerated hugs or "love you"s when we're alone is mine. So I hope things work out for those two, looking forward to it. ☺

My husband has stage 4 melanoma and he’s 33. I couldn’t imagine my life with anyone else, he made be believe soulmates exist. If he passed, it would be unfair to anyone else I tried to date because they could never be him, and I could never love them the amount and way I love him. I’m going to judge the hell out of her, sorry. I get it. I’m terrified of being alone if I lose my husband so young. I get she’s scared to be alone and unlike for us kids are involved and I’m sure that she wants a dad for them. Nobody expects her to be alone forever. My husband has also said he wants me to move on if I lose him although I don’t think I could. But for frick’s sake, stop being selfish and mourn the person you were married to and have two kids with. Filipino here that grew up and lives in the Philippines, y'all don't know how many stuff can happen to you. We are hit with typhoons yearly. Sometimes two to three times a year. In the province's, flooding is very common after a heavy rain. As for the fire, it's common too. In the "slums" the wires are not managed properly and a lot "borrow" electricity by connecting wires which usually causes fires. Sometimes it's started by a left lit candle or arson (so companies can reclaim the land). She's learning ASL probably because she wasn't taught or learnt a different type from ASL.
