Thank for acknowledging that Ms. Debbie went to Morocco to meet a 24 year old. Not a fan of Oussama’s behavior but most people don’t seem to hold Ms. Debbie accountable for her part in the delusional relationship.

Completely agree! Everyone is forgetting she chose to convert to Islam. And them hating on him for his beliefs and culture was completely inappropriate. I'm a Christian and that bothered me greatly.
I 💯 agree with you! I’m Christian as well and that whole segment bothered me A LOT. I felt very uncomfortable watching it because Gabe was attacking him for his beliefs and judging him for them which was ignorant and wrong. He was acting like Nicole is not a grown woman who chose to marry a Muslim man she knew for a week and convert to his religion without even knowing what it’s about.

I don't know... A 24 year old girl is a young yet grown woman. Theoretically, her life, her choices. People who are 24 work, pay taxes, can have children and get married. I'm not saying that in situations like this one there's not something ""disturbing"" on some level, because being in your early 20s and being in your late 60s are SUCH DIFFERENT phases of life, that I can't understand how two people with such a big age gap can have common life goals - and common life goals are a true foundation for a long-term relationship (paradoxically, I could understand a fling between to consenting adults with this age gap infinitely more than the desire of a deep relationship). If I had a 24-year old child and they fell deeply in love with a 68-year old, I would be really, really worried. For their mental health, and for their future.
It's just that I don't think this is the case. I don't think neither of them fell in love truly with each other. He defenetely didn't love her, she may have very immaturely and irresponsibly idealized him.
Also, the word "predator" is abused on so many levels... Especially in the US. A predator is someone who is taking sexual advantage of a situation in which there's no consent or there's mental manipulation. A mature man can genuinely get a huge infatuation with good, deep feelings towards a younger woman. Even falling in love with her. And viceversa. It depends on the people, it depends on the situation.
But "predators" are specific people with specific behaviours with specific targets.
Many American people consider "predators" 19-year-old boys who fall in love with 16-year-old girls. We're losing control of specific words' meanings.

My mom converted to Islam after a few years of marrying my dad. I think converting to any religion is so important to recognize the reason for conversion and to make sure there is no ego involved towards the convertee. My mom learned at her own pace and told my dad that she will do it her way and for him to not get involved in her journey. He gave her space and only said something if she asked him a question. She didn’t start off by covering her head, he didn’t say anything, even when she wore it “wrong”. I think converting for yourself is so important and trusting your partner and that they give you space. I know women who converted so they could make their spouse happy, the ones I know of, their marriages ended and their kids were messed up. If someone forces you to convert, i think you should run far away from them

Gabby needs to control her emotions. Calling someone an idiot because of their ideas and beliefs is very hypocritical.
I wana compare kris and Debby’s outfits. I think Debbie’s outfit works because it’s camp and she owns it. It’s loud in a specific way. The colors of the dress and robe match, the metallic in the boots match the sequins in the dress, the fan is over the top but also coherent into the overall look. Now there’s one big difference in Kris’s attire which I think takes the look from camp to trashy, and that’s the combination of her hair, makeup and her cleavage. Face is minimal, hair is minimal, but you got a corset on with the girls poppin out. She doesn’t own the look the way Debby does. If your gonna dress like a circus give us a show! If the girls are out, give us lashes, glitter eyeshadow, bold lips, get that hair up and working! I think the main problem however is it’s lacking sincerity to the character, Debby looks comfortable, like her outfit isn’t a costume, it’s self expression. Kris looks like she’s wearing a costume. Like she wasn’t sure how to dress, and said f it. If I were her, I’d chosen a neutral dress or pantsuit, something that didn’t grab much attention, and try to lay low. Something that complemented my skin and hair color, because the dark hue makes her look pale.

I didn't really think much of Shaun's comparison between Islam vs. Christianity or Judaism, mainly because the former is typically enforced by law, while the later two aren't. Also, honor killings aren't commonplace in the later two. Mahmoud and people who think like him are certainly providing implicit credibility to these things.

Miss Po I just want to put my little hand up that I don’t love Miss Debbi. I’m not here to say bad things, I just object to the “everbody loves her” idea. She has problems, lives in her fantasies then blames the guy who joined her in the fantasy. I don’t like her smug look, some of the things she and her son says to Oussama. He’s a young N African who wants opportunity. no need to hold his feet to the fire. Say no, move on. I think they both struggle and are both lonely. Unpopular opinion, I also think Oussama has or had feelings for Debbie, hear me out. I think him explaining the visa was getting a bit lost in translation. During one interview he clarified "I want BOTH of us to live a life in USA, I can make money with my art and poetry and make a life for DEBBIE and I".....when he clarified it seemed sincere, I just think hes an idiot and all the other times he blurts out the visa and gets so pissed he doesn't explain properly. He even said "I cant provide for her here".....he even says it to her at one point and she responds that she doesnt want him to provide for her and she has enough money. I oddly think hes so weird that he did fall for her, I just think hes strange and has anger and temper issues. Hes tried being intimate with her several times, he always says how they bond over art and poetry, and his freak out when she left and wouldn't answer his calls. If he really just wanted a visa with just anyone, why would he bother calling and texting like a nut over and over instead of running the scam with a new older lady. The amount of calls and text reminds me of someone with abandonment issues who cant let go. @@rosiered3403 they're just theories assumed by her strange behaviour. How "sick" she was while visiting the woman she was seeing, then suddenly disappearing back to America for a poor excuse and when she's filmed again in America she seems very drowsy with slightly slurred speech etc. Also apparently her son has recently been charged for selling fentanyl.
There's no real confirmation from her that she's using but her behaviour is strange.
